2160 E Foothill Blvd, PasadenaI have been coming here for about 6 months. Everyone is very friendly and responsive. Within 2 visits, the staff knew her by name. My dog with separation anxiety pulls me down the street to get in. We had spent a few weeks away with the holidays and the fire evacuation, and the staff mentioned we'd been gone awhile and how they missed her. This evening, after she spent 9.5 hours there, I got her into the car to go home, and she jumped out and ran back up the sidewalk, wiggling by the front door of the daycare until I caught up. She loves it here THAT MUCH.
Cannot overstate how happy we both are to have this place in our neighborhood.
Edited to add: my dog has taken to howling with excitement the entire drive over to daycare too. We've been coming here for a year, and we have no plans of stopping! Thanks, IDMD! ♥️

Staff is very friendly and the groomers do an amazing job at a reasonable price, cat friendly and definitely a place to consider for your pet. Since it was their first time being boarded - they made sure they were comfortable & provided them extra pets :) Everything went well and they were relaxed when I came to pick them up.

Let me tell you that while I did a good enough job it was not at the level that the professionals here at Bowhaus perform these tasks. They set a high standard of care and compassion which is why I take him in for regular grooming every 4 to 6 weeks. This place not only cares for our pets, they also care about them. I appreciate all of the staff here so much!!!

We brought in a 98 pound rescue Pyrenees with a broken leg who'd be running rough and when we picked her up - she was shinning - fur soft and clean, smelling great, tail wagging. We do short in summer and trim for winter. Pepper smells so good and is so fluffy. I love how he looks. Would definitely recommend.

616 E Colorado Blvd, PasadenaThe receptionist, Dr Compton, and his assistant Marilyn were all gracious, friendly, and capable. Dr Compton gave a hands-on exam of our dog, listened carefully to his history, and gave a thorough explanation of his recommendations (including labs and maybe imaging later as needed). He was very respectful and accommodating of my point of view--suggesting a short course of gabepentin when I expressed reservations about its longterm effects and saying I could go back to using herbs after that if that worked for our dog.
We had a good discussion of future dental cleaning and probable extractions, as well as nail care, flea meds, etc.
Kind, expert, and thorough--and transparent about prices, which seemed very fair. The clinic was clean, well-appointed, and well lit. Even our dog, who is usually very skittish, did not seem to ming being there. He is doing much better, thank you, and we will be back.

Animal Medical Hospital
2116 East Colorado Boulevard, Pasadenabrought my small Chihuahua to Animal Medical Hospital because she wasn’t feeling well. I want to say that the staff was absolutely nice to both me and my dog. They gave me antibiotics and clear instructions, and I followed everything they told me. My dog improved within the first week, and I was very happy with how well she responded to the treatment.
Her first visit was $233, and a recheck was optional and cost $49. Just a heads-up to ask about the cost of a recheck when making your appointment so you know what to expect.
Overall, I’m very thankful for the care my Chihuahua received. The treatment worked, the staff was kind, and I feel that I received good care for the money. I would definitely recommend them. ❤🐾

The tech accommodated us and even took my pup in the stroller into the back to receive services. When I returned an hour later... she was laying down calmly. Huge progress! Every one is great. I need to get the names of the reception folks they are great too. I don't remember the name of the tech this last time she was great too. My dog Ethel was the calmest I've seen her at the vet. What I appreciated most is empathy.

Finally, we came here and this vet took one look at my dog and immediately said it’s lupus, very common with border collies. He’s on meds now that cleared it up. Great vet!

Banfield Pet Hospital
3347 E Foothill Blvd, PasadenaI have had two vet visits at Banfield. Both times I saw Dr Chen, who was awesome. She took the time to explain everything and answer all our questions. There was also a vet tech at the first visit whose name I believe was Brian. He was also awesome and took the time to talk to us and explain everything. The receptionist working at the first visit was wonderful, but the receptionist working there at the second visit was rude. Other than that, I highly recommend them.

Advanced Veterinary Dentistry
150 North San Gabriel Boulevard, PasadenaWent here and they took care of my corgis first broken fang with a crown. They also sealed 2 other booths that were luckily not infected. Unfortunately they cannot do a crown on any double rooted or triple rooted crown. So I had to go elsewhere. When I went to dog and cat dentist, they found out my corgi had 2 calcified booths. One was the triple rooted tooth was half calcified and the other was fully. This specialized dentist noted that advanced Vet dentistry isn't 100% accurate since they are an ordinary dentist and not specialized. So given that it was my first dog dentist. They're pretty a ok.

Our dog was so anxious that he was afraid of the wind blowing through the trees when we got him, and had leash reactivity. By the time we finished working with her he has so much more confidence and isn’t reactive on leash. Jennifer helped us learn how to read his body language, how to build his confidence, and how to turn him from a fearful rescue to a trusting companion.
We could not be more pleased with Jennifer, her patience, compassion, knowledge, and the amazing fear-free methods she utilizes. We would recommend her to anyone!

The pork in the arepa plate was phenomenal, the corn pancakes were perfect, all the sweet toppings were balanced out with the neutral corn pancake so we could enjoy it without feeling like we were eating a mountain of sugar. The mango tango is delicious, I'll be stopping by for those more often. We appreciated how well covered their outdoor seating is because we came on a rainy morning with our pup and we're able to enjoy our breakfast without getting wet. On our way in we sampled a churo and that was excellent too, that'll definitely be something we order next time! Great place!!

I was impressed by the fact that it did not smell at all, and the people who ran the place were great and made sure that the cats and kids were happy and healthy during the visit! They allow you to bring food for guests too which was nice.
