5465 El Camino Real, Atascadero10/10! Christina is the best! I gave her a call a couple of days ago to get an appointment for my German Shepherd mix, Heidi. Christina was so kind and helpful on the phone, walked me through my options patiently and was able to squeeze me in pretty last minute. When I finally met Christina, she was just as lovely in person. She did such a good job with my VERY furry, long haired baby- which is no small task! Trimmed her perfectly and had her smelling amazing!
Christina has great pricing making her a great option for locals.
The whole experience really shows how much she loves her work and how much she loves animals! I know my girl Heidi really liked her a lot! She came out of the appointment relaxed and looking beautiful!!!?
I will DEFINITELY be back!

El Camino Veterinary Hospital
1380 El Camino Real, AtascaderoOur chicken was attacked by a fox, and carried briefly in its mouth before we scared it off. The bite caused an open laceration on our chickens side. This happened on a Sunday, on a holiday weekend. We had a heck of a time finding a vet with a doctor that could treat a chicken. We discovered El Camino Vet after a recommendation. When we walked in, they were booked up with appointments but they still made an initial exam a priority to make sure she was stable. After waiting for a doctor to become available, Dr. Ramos cared for our chicken. He was knowledgeable, kind, and skilled. He sutured our hen up professionally and explained everything to us quite well, including showing us a technique to giver her antibiotics. When we got the bill, I was surprised by how fair it was.
From the initial phone call, to walking out the door, the experience was as pleasant as could be. Each staff member was professional and compassionate. The inside of the facility was very clean and smelled pretty neutral considering it is a vet. I understand why this pet hospital has such great ratings. They earn it.
If you made it this far and are wondering, our chicken is healing well and she is behaving like nothing happened.

El Camino Veterinary Hospital: Leton Renee DVM
1380 El Camino Real, AtascaderoMy dog is now 17, and pretty healthy, but I switched to ECV last year when I was concerned about his teeth. Dr. Robinson was very gentle with him and after senior blood work got him in asap for a cleaning and 2 extractions. He did very well ( even at 16 yrs old!) with the anesthesia and I could tell he felt better too. Just recently he had an exam with Dr Schmidt (another fantastic vet!) and she's helping him with some arthritis and anxiety. He's very deaf and losing his sight slowly, but this office is keeping him in the best shape possible and he's still running around like a puppy. In between naps! The front and back office personnel are always helpful and informative, I highly recommend this office.

This Hospital is by far the best hospital around their staff is very compassionate and highly trained they rushed to take care of my Abbey girl and do all they could. God had other plans and unfortunately I had to lay her to rest. She lived a good life of 15 years. I will never forget how wonderful this stuff was and the veterinarian and tech who did all they could. I apologize for the few months lacking and getting this review you deserved much sooner.

Rocky Canyon Kennels
9410 Asuncion Rd, AtascaderoMary Kay and her staff have been so accommodating with our 3 dogs. They get excited to be dropped off and seem a little bummed to leave. With 3 dogs we have a weird feeding routine and the staff don’t seem to mind and don’t make us feel like crazy dog owners. Highly recommended this kennel and will continue to use them when it’s needed.

My husband ordered chilaquiles and I had carne de res. It was so delicious, you will not disappoint. I had to request additional chip salsa. I wanted to drink it myself. 😉😆 And the owner is awesome, he told us a little bit history of the place. We will stop by again.

The food is consistently excellent. The burgers, sandwiches, fries, and rotating specials, including the mac and cheese balls, are all fantastic. We also really appreciate the thoughtfully curated local beer and wine selection.
Halfway Station has quickly become a regular stop for us since moving to Atascadero. Our son would definitely have something to say if we stopped going!

1875 El Camino Real, AtascaderoWe really enjoyed our first visit to Central Coast Distillery’s new Atascadero location after hearing great things.
The space is beautifully done, with tasteful decor and a comfortable, well-appointed feel. Service was top notch from the moment we arrived until we left.
The cocktails were a major highlight. I had the classic Old Fashioned and my wife had their espresso martini. Both were beautifully presented and easily among the best cocktails we’ve had in SLO County.
The food also exceeded our expectations. The double smashburger was perfectly cooked, with their house bourbon BBQ sauce and bacon, and the garlic parmesan curly fries were a fun touch and unlike anything we’ve had elsewhere in Atascadero.
Really glad they landed in Atascadero. We’ll definitely be back for a cocktail and to work our way through more of the small, thoughtfully crafted food menu.

She was still graciously pouring for a few guests outside and, when I stopped in to make a purchase, she offered me a taste of what I was about to buy. Such a small gesture, but such a wonderful example of genuine hospitality. Marin was so warm and welcoming, and it made an unexpected stop feel extra special. I’ll definitely be back!
