The budgies are healthy and have settled in very nicely. It's the cockatiel, however, I'm mostly writing the review about. This guy must have been hand raised, because he was on my shoulder by day 3. He will not bite, even if he really wants me to stop doing something (like move him out of the budgies' cage). He is an absolutely wonderful 'tiel.

960 Main St, Morro BayWe take our dog here and have been doing so for years, staff is very hospitable and nice. The services offered for the notedly reasonable price are very extensive in my opinion. The grooming we get for our (admittedly low maintenance) medium-sized short haired mix-breed dog includes EVERYTHING: ears, teeth, nails, coat, a doggie facial, a festive bandana, and they even do anal glands included in the price(!). They are booked up many months in advance and I recommend you enquire early and see if they are excepting new clients currently and make sure to schedule an appointment but they've been accommodating to us in the past about an quick appointment or an unscheduled visit. Different dogs with different needs cost more or less depending, so as they say ymmv (your mileage may vary) but we've been to multiple groomers on the central coast and All Paws is without question the best priced and easiest we've dealt with.

She not only is a wonderful communicator regarding appointments and pickup, but also with LISTENING to what cut/style we want as well as giving advice to what might look or be better for the season. I have tried nearly every groomer in a 40 mile radius and All About Dogs is the only one who gets it right every single time.

1696 7th Street, San Luis ObispoLove this groomer. My dog is an anxious pup so she works with him fast but gives him a proper grooming every time. She chooses to not groom doodles which is totally understandable cause their coats are a bit more complicated. My pup is spaniel mix and he is happy enough with it. Keeps the foxtails and everything at bay.

We travel an hour each way just to see Stephanie, and it is worth every mile. We have a 120lb Bernese Mountain Dog, and finding a salon that actually knows how to handle and groom a dog of that size is rare.
This was our third visit, and I’m long overdue in sharing how incredible they are. Stephanie consistently goes above and beyond the call of duty. She doesn't just make him look amazing; she genuinely cares about his well-being, pointing out health details like hot spots that we need to keep an eye on. I cannot recommend this salon highly enough for their skill, patience, and attention to detail.

Their customer service via text is the best with a fast response and easy while I am busy with other life things. Baths are great on pick up day too with an extra fee. Do make sure you are up to date on vaccines and handle your stuff before boarding. They hold me accountable and I respect their policy. The animals are familiar and noticeably more relaxed here. They listen to any special needs I have and greet our animals. They get time to play and be out of their nighttime areas with clean and friendly environments that feel home like. I have tried other places and drive farther for this kind of support.

Dogtastic Training
893 Marsh St Box 1192, San Luis ObispoMy Whippet/Pit mix is a sweet and responsive girl. With her desire to please me, we did great together with positive reinforcement training, however everything literally went out the door as soon as she knew she was going outside. Her prey drive is off the charts and was unmanageable on walks - to the point of being dangerous for both her and me. I contacted Mark to work with us to manage her prey drive, even with my initial reluctance to use an e-collar. We discussed his methods at length and he let me experience the e-collar for myself. After a week of working with Mark, I now have new capabilities to walk and go on adventures with my dog safety - and we can enjoy ourselves. Now that Mark has worked with her, the rest is up to me to maintain what she has learned. This ended up being a successful way to go, given her challenges. And I'm grateful. One thing that impressed me right away about Mark is that he took the first day with my dog to orient her to her new environment and spent time bonding with her. Each day of her training, he sent videos of where he took her, what training he was engaged in with her and how she was doing - multiple times a day, keeping me informed. Any questions I had, he responded to immediately. Finally, I was given training on the techniques and tools so I am able to maintain and continue her training. She has responded very well to Mark and his training process! In fact, I think she fell in love with him :-) I have no hesitations to continue working with Mark if any further support is needed.

We all enjoyed our food. It wasn't over the top overwhelming but it was good. I was personally pretty happy with the beer selection in part because in California it's hard to find breweries that make anything but hoppy hoppy hoppy beers. I don't care for hoppy beers. Oak and Otter have a more diverse selection and it gave me a chance to do a flight in which I actually liked most of the beers at least a little. Sadly the only beer they have canned for take home purchase is a hoppy one so I had to buy a couple growlers to take anything home. Not the worst scenario but not great for long term if you don't plan to drink it in the next few days.
Big tip though... Don't miss out on trying the house made ginger beer. It's like candy. Definitely taste the cane sugar in it. Definitely more on the sweeter side than having a ginger bite but I was glad to take home a growler of that as well and at home we made gin and ginger cocktails with it.
The young man serving us though really made the whole experience move to the next level. He was so friendly and engaging and patient with all my questions. You can tell he really enjoys his job.

I only buy Riesling from here (this is my go-to place for it & when people ask where to get a good bottle this is always my first & only answer/choice).
Staff have always been kind, full of knowledge and speak from expertise & the property is very inviting the moment you pull up. Staff will take great care of you without the feeling of a high-pressure salesperson breathing down your neck.
They also have excellent white wines, too.
It’s been about 10 years since I last visited the vineyard. But can’t imagine much has changed in terms of greatness.

3810 Broad Street Ste 3, San Luis ObispoIn recent months we’ve had to relocate our mom to an assisted living facility in SLO and pass by Pizza Republic every other day, on one occasion my sister had mentioned that she had eaten there once before and it was delicious, she would take me one day! She kept true to her word so we stopped in the other day and was greeted by Lisa who was so nice and engaging with me while my sister was getting her ice tea. I mentioned to Lisa about my sister’s visit years before and her wanting me to try the food. We each ordered a piece of pizza that was delivered to our table in addition to a free meal card encouraging us to return. I have to say hands down that the pizza was the freshest I’ve ever had so with that we thought that we should order a chef salad to go split between both of us because we were already full just from the pizza. I had looked at the salads as my sister was about to drop me off and mentioned that the presentation of each of our salads looked like art and tasted just as great as they looked! I say all of that to acknowledge the quality of the food and customer service at this eatery. It almost seems rare these days to get the experience and quality that we did that day. Definitely coming back and recommending Pizza Republic in SLO!

Ebony Ethiopian Cuisine
Salty Bagel, 153 Cross Street, San Luis ObispoLOVED this restaurant. I was just driving through SLO and saw it was 100% gf so tried it. The food was sooooo good. Everyone liked it, even kids who eat gluten. I kind of want to make SLO be my vacation destination now just to eat here. 10/10 would highly recommend to anyone.

He is inspiring and I am sure his wines are superb. This is a beautiful place to visit. On the weekends during the summer he has live music. Check them out to host your next wine tasting event.
