My dog tobi had been seen by multiple vets for over 4 months with multiple x-rays, lab work and even in office ultrasounds and he continued to vomit and lose weight. . i was referred to dr jones office and He and his office staff were great . The communication was great from his office staff and him. They told me all the prices up front and were able to explain all my options if they saw something . He was able to see the problem on the ultrasound and even able to biopsy it and the lymph nodes . He saw so many thing that other vets didn’t see. Unfortunately my boy has an aggressive form of cancer. He did get mass removed and is doing ok now. I wish I would of known about his office and specialty earlier as I would of brought him earlier, as i knew something was very wrong with tobi and suspected cancer as an oncology nurse myself. (maybe we would of caught it before it spread ) But i would highly recommend Him and his office staff if they can’t figure out what is going on or you want a very in detail ultrasound. They know what they are doing and he gave me the answers no one else could .

Normally that level of excellent service comes at a premium price but their prices are very fair (good prices for both veterinary service and pharmacy).

Every single thing we had was perfect and fresh and delicious. The service and the atmosphere were lovely. I honestly can't say enough good things. It was a perfect spot for my birthday. The card was nice touch.

We intended to grab one beer and ended up staying a few rounds because of the great beers, vibe, and live music. It’s not often we love every beer we try, but everything was excellent. They had a good pizza food truck outside too. 10/10 fantastic way to spend a Saturday evening!

Vons Bakery
1758 W Grand Ave, Grover BeachI spend about $100 a week at Vons in Grover Beach. It is just about the only grocery store I go to. It is nice to see they are hiring more people. Pictures I often see have different area supervisors which is good. One concern I have is the people that are the main ‘doers’ don’t seem to have a concern about the jobs they do. In would hope Vons have a way to reward or correct workers in the way they carry out their job. ‘Banging’ on mop heads is never helpful unless they see a monetary benefit in personal upkeep. Most bakers don’t see a reason to spread peppers out on a bagel but I bet if they took a bite out of their product and got all the jalapeños in one bite they might see the logic of spreading them. I have quit telling them about it because they just shrug their shoulders. I would modify their pay by 50cents an hour up or down until performance matches expectations. I hope they have a way to gauge performance.

Monarch Grove Winery Tasting Room
aka Hwy One & Pacific Hwy) Amtrak train station, 180 CA-1, Grover BeachWe absolutely love this winery! The owners, Julie and Ercilia, are truly amazing, and every wine they pour is delicious. We recently celebrated a birthday there, and they went above and beyond with a beautifully set table just for our group. They even prepared a charcuterie board that was not only gorgeous but also very reasonably priced.
If you’re looking for wine tasting in the Five Cities, this is hands-down the best place to be. And as a bonus, they are incredibly dog-friendly—which we appreciate so much. Highly recommend!

1800 E Grand Ave, Grover BeachMy daughter wanted some boba after a hike, having to park in downtown Pismo and walk to a spot was not in my timeline. This place has great parking and accesibility and closes after the other guys. I loved how refreshing the Strawberry Lychee blended with strawberry popping pearls was and the service was laid back and friendly. The guy taking my order was willing to accomodate my request of half sweet which was so nice. We will be returning!

170 W Grand Ave #101, Grover BeachBest tomato soup I’ve ever had and truly by a landslide! I had a major tooth surgery two days ago (I’m on a soft food diet for a bit), so I couldn’t have found this place’s soup at a better time! The guy cooking in the back and his son working the cash register, they were both extremely friendly and welcoming.
The price was amazingly low (only $8) for it being a such a solid sized bowl, not to mention for the great quality! It was made from scratch for sure! And the perfect location (a very short walk to the beach with greenery/flowers all around the restaurant and a great view of the train station) had me previously expecting it to be expensive, however the prices for everything seemed very generous/inexpensive even without considering the great location. There was a ton of close available parking in their parking lot. I’ll be back there often and very soon, probably even again today. They have one soup daily, so don’t get your hopes set too high from expecting the FIRE tomato soup when you go because they might not have it available some days. But I’m sure their other soups are fire also.

My truck had broken down during my west coast road trip to see family. I was blown away by the friendly service, treated like a local. I was offered an odd tip to try their in-house made jelly with my egg sandwich. Well, I am always up for adventure especially the culinary types. I tried it feeling compelled to write this review. What a combination!!

Garlands Hamburgers

The small fries were more like a large and tasty. Black tea also good. The woman cooking and taking orders was very nice and the young boy. I'll definitely eat here again when visiting Pismo.
