I have nothing but positive things to say. I was nervous abt leaving my dog alone as I didn’t know how she was going to react. Once we got to the salon, my worries went away. ALL of the staff was very accommodating to my pup’s anxiety and put all the dogs away so she could acclimate to the new environment. Which instantly made me feel my dog was in good hands. They let me stay for a bit as my pup calmed down, and Camryn definitely made the effort to show my dog that she wasn’t a threat. I think the best part of my experience here was that when I got by pup back she was HAPPY, CALM and looked STUNNING !! I am happy that she came back clean, but knowing she came back with no stress beats everything.

7105 University Ave, La MesaWe've been coming here for over 7 years with our pom/chihuahua. He is magical and has a way with the pups. Shes now nearly deaf, has arthritis and is on heart meds for congestive heart failure which makes her anxious and coughs, but not with him. We wouldn't trust our golden girl with anyone else, she always comes back looking amazing, like 5 years younger!

Dare I say may be even love?Tami’s Tender Touch is a place I can highly recommend.We have been going here for years and in fact so many years we knew and loved Alice and gosh we loved her smiling face every time we walked in the door.We have had several dogs brought to Tami’s for her tender loving kindness. Two dogs in fact. (Emmi and Lady). Emmi was a 12 lb miniature Doberman pincher and she thought she was a 10’ tall horse weighing in at 356 lbs. Lady on the other hand was a 27 lb Beagle that never howled and was made with angel fairy dust.Tami and her staff watched those two beauties grow up from puppies to elderly pups and then on to heavens green playground.Ok, that was an exaggeration. Everyone knows Emmi is raising Hell and driving Satan literally mad right now. And in fact if we all know Emmi, she’s raising an army of darkness to take over the depths of HELL and once Emmi takes over hell, she will march onto Heaven, earth and then the universe. Right now, Lucifer is pleading with God to “please I’ll do ANYTHING! Just take this demon off my hands!”Of course Lady our beloved Beagle is definitely in heaven looking down at Emmi and hoping for “God sake don’t let that demon Emmi free. The apocalypse of the four horsemen will be released.”After our furry babies were taken from these earthly bounds, it did take a few years to regrow my broken heart and adopt another dog and now I have two dogs again.I don’t say this lightly either. There is a reason why Tami’s has been in business for so long and why I returned to Tami’s with my new furry babies (Maya an 110 lb Anatolian and Sally a 60 lb Catahoula Pit mix).It’s because I know Tami and her staff care for our furry babies, as if they were their own.Maybe something does go wrong (from your perspective), but Tami will go out of her way to try her best to resolve the issue. (remember I’m being honest here), but the fact remains, Tender Touch means something to Tami and her staff.They wash, they cut, trim, pamper, use soap/water, dry them off and do anal gland expression (ok that’s nasty) (please give them extra tip for that, seriously gross), but with all that, Tami and her staff do, you know what I witness?Love!I see them talking to our babies. If your little fur ball is upset and crying, they don’t just yell and curse, no, they talk to them and let them know that it’s ok. Our furry babies attach themselves to us. They learn to trust us. Those little beasts show affection when we don’t deserve it and we intern take care of them with all our hearts. And how amazing is it, right here in La Mesa we have a place that will care for our furry babies with all the tender touch in the world.Yeah I highly recommend Tami’s Tender Touch.

The next day we had a very unexpected emergency with our cat and they handled it like champs. Explained they were booked but could do lab work still and have a technician look at it.
Greatly appreciated the transparency and the care for my cat.

My morkie had been in CLL remission for several months, but she suffered a massive seizure on Christmas eve and then several smaller ones resulting in fluid collecting in her lungs. My maltipoo's pain could no longer be controlled, he refused to eat or drink, and was constantly panicked over his "little sister's" struggle to breath. It was absolutely devastating and there was nothing left their vet could do. Because my dogs were always so nervous and scared at their vet's office, I made the decision that there last moments would be spent at home. I contacted more companies than I can remember. I wanted to make sure all three of us would be comfortable with the person coming into our home and was understanding of my need to honor their lives. I chose Dr. Kristi Freeman at Graceful Departure because she was knowledgeable, kind, used fear-free practices, extremely experienced, and genuinely cared. When Dr Kristi walked in the door, my timid little morkie went right to her. I couldn't have chose a better person. She was equally professional and compassionate while I cried my eyes out during their last minutes. She honored my dogs and my unusual requests of being able to wrap them and have them transported in the casket I made for them. She took the time to understand us and was a comforting presence. She made sure I was ready to proceed at each step and answered every little question I had. It was a terrible day that couldn't have gone any better. I wouldn't bother contacting anyone but Graceful Departure if your pet is in need of end of life services. Prices are *very* competitive while services are unmatched. There are no surprises and their partnership with Angel Paws for aftercare services make the entire process much smoother so that healing can begin much quicker. Thank you, Dr Kristi.

5336 Jackson Dr, La MesaI went to see Dr. Wang on the recommendation of a friend. I have a German Shepperd and very particular about where i take him. It was to say the least the best experience. Most Vets come in like their hair is on fire and leave as soon as possible. Not Dr. Wang she took her time to get to know me and my dog and proceeded to the exam only when she felt he was comfortable. It is the welcome unusual almost like the old times when people and animals mattered more the just turn them and burn them and bank the money. I rarely write a review but from the receptionist to the thecs to the Dr. they were nothing short of excellent. From an over protective dog dad i highly recommend their practice.

7134 University Ave, La MesaI am extremely discerning when it comes to doctors and veterinarians. Dr. Munoz is hands down the best veterinarian I have ever encountered. He is kind, knowledgeable, compassionate and reasonable. In a commercialized world where so many are out for profit, Dr. Munoz is a jewel, a rare find. I honestly want to keep his business a secret so I was hesitant to post this review but I guess that would be selfish of me. Thanks to Dr. Munoz, my pets are healthy and thriving and University Pet Hospital is there for me whenever life happens. The entire staff there is extremely professional and polite and even when you are dealing with a pet health emergency, they manage to make you feel better. During a very tough time for our family, she was understanding of my situation and continued to make time for us and my 16 year old cat. She took the extra effort to call me and did multiple things I wouldn’t expect from any vet. I am very appreciative of her quality of service and would recommend to anyone. I’ve also seen Dr Chang here and he is also great!

8150 Commercial St, La MesaIt took awhile to get ahold of them, but they were very responsive once I was able to get in touch. I tried to take my dog for day care and they requested I come back an hour later to pick her up. They said she was very stressed and jumping/biting at another dog's face. I totally understand that behavior can't be accommodated. It was surprising, though, because I board her whenever I go out of town (4-6 times per year) with 6-8 dogs and I've received nothing but positive feedback and videos of her playing well with the dogs. I also took her to full day training/day care last year that was three days per week (9-530) for about 3 months and also no issues. Ultimately, the environment was just not a good fit with her personality. My dog is high energy, so if your dog leans high energy or high anxiety, this is probably not for you.

We switched to her after learning our first trainer was a balanced trainer and what we ACTUALLY needed was a positive dog trainer. She got us started on the right foot. We continued in a semi private setting with another puppy for a bit. When issue have popped up we’ve hired her for 1:1 training and continue to use her as needed. You will not be disappointed!!

Great atmosphere but the thing that kinda ruined it was some creepy guy taking video of people. When I asked a bartender who he was, I was told that "he's someone who covers local bands and thinks he's a videographer." LOL. OK, whatever. Otherwise this is a fun localhangout in La Mesa for beer drinking and taking in some live music.

The total bill came to $31 (not bad for the quality of food and drink). The breakfast sandwich was flavorful (bacon, egg, cheese and sauce). The bread was toasted to perfection and the house chipotle aioli sauce added an excellent touch. The butter for the scones were out of this world delicious; scones were baked perfectly. A+ is the score I’d give to this establishment.

The kids love their hot cocoa and muffins, and we've tried quite a few things from the menu, all of which have been really good. It's the kind of place that works perfectly for bringing the kids or catching up with friends. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the staff is always friendly. Definitely one of our go-to coffee spots!

The two entrees - Veal Masala for me and beef short ribs for my husband were both excellent. The veal was on their lunch menu , the beef was the daily special. Both extremely good value for money. I believe our server's name was Misty and she was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and the restaurant itself. This was our first visit and we will most definitely return. All in all a wonderful experience and highly recommend this place.
