My dog is a nervous girl usually with grooming but Charity made her feel safe and comfortable. Awesome Doggies Mobile Pet Grooming
4079 Governor Dr #341, San DiegoIn a word, AWESOME! :) Professional, courteous, kind and understanding. Casper the groomer arrived at our home on schedule and took time to familiarize himself with our Pembroke Welsh Corgi - Cali the California Girl (AKC Champion Show Dog - Ret). He then gave Cali the full service spa treatment that she has been long accustomed to receiving from her show dog career. We contacted AWESOME DOGGIES because of a severe injury to our regular groomer and we wanted to keep Cali on her monthly grooming routine. We greatly appreciate how flexible and accommodating AWESOME DOGGIES was since we are new clients. Communication via email and text message works very well, plus the paperwork to fill out was clear, concise and easy to complete. Five stars! *****

The Barking Lot of Hillcrest
3781 Park Blvd, San DiegoMo is absolutely amazing with both of our dogs. One of them is a senior who hates getting her nails done and the other is special needs and can get anxious, but Mo always takes extra good care of them and makes sure they feel safe and comfortable.
I also love that he only takes one dog at a time so they never have to sit around and wait. His prices are very affordable and he is always so quick without ever rushing the care.
Mo truly takes dogs of all needs and ages and is incredibly friendly and communicative throughout the whole process. It was so hard for me to find a groomer willing and able to work with my distemper survivor, but I am beyond grateful that I found Mo and I am never looking back.

ABC Veterinary Hospital Pacific Beach
2032 Hornblend St, San DiegoIf you have a furry member of the family, THIS IS YOUR VET. For my first visit, my appointment was at 3pm. The check in process was one simple sheet and took LESS THAN 5 minutes. My cat (Maui) was checked by the nurse at 3:05 and the doctor was in the exam room by 3:10. The exam was thorough and complete. Maui was taken back for a full panel blood work and was prescribed antibiotics for a mouth infection in 15 minutes. Maui and I were out the door with his prescriptions IN HAND at 3:40. The exam rooms are very clean, the treats are plentiful, and most importantly the staff is caring, thorough and time efficient. Save yourself the frustration and long waits many other vets make you deal with and just come here.

Clairemont Village Pet Clinic
3007 Clairemont Dr G, San DiegoHas been my go to vet for a while now and they deserve the rating from me. Dr Diamond cracked a case on my dog 6 other big vets in San diego couldn't (almost 8k wasted), and after that I knew these folks were the one. From there on its been nothing but amazing, they have a very special staff team. Like, everyone remembers the pets, know how to work with each and every one differently, like my aggressive and very protective 120lb GSD. AND YET THEY LOVE TO SEE HIM!!! But yeah, if youre looking for a vet, one time visit or long term these are the folks you want. Military friendly and can work around multiple types of difficult situations too.

Rancho San Carlos Pet Clinic
7850 Golfcrest Dr, San DiegoOur pets are our world, and finding a veterinarian you truly trust is so hard. Dr. Fransioli is absolutely amazing. We have two cats, Roy Kent and POTUS Bader Ginsburg, and a dog named Abbey, and they absolutely ADORE Dr. Fransioli! She always remembers the little details about them, which makes us trust her care completely.
The entire experience at Rancho San Carlos Vet is top-notch — communication is excellent, scheduling is easy, the online portal is convenient for appointments and prescription food, and we love the text and call reminders. They even follow up after visits to check on how our pets are doing. All of their techs are amazing!
On a personal level, Dr. Fransioli remembers details about our lives too, which means so much to us. We love her so much that both me and my wife go to appointments just to see and catch up with her! We couldn’t recommend her more!

Torrey Highlands Pet Health Care Center
13350, Camino Del Sur, San DiegoI have had pets all my life and have been to many vets. Most of the vets I’ve had are great, but this vet clinic goes so beyond great, it’s like nothing I have ever experienced. It is such an amazing, welcoming, compassionate environment.
My dog and cat have both had some health issues, so we have been there quite a bit this year. Dr. Mark ALWAYS takes time to explain everything and has so much empathy and compassion. He is incredibly knowledgeable and thorough. Jenna at the front is so kind and friendly. The veterinary assistants are so sweet and gentle with my pets.
Even when I got some bad news about my cat, Maggie, I didn’t feel alone. I felt they were hurting right along with me. It’s rare to find that type of humanity in business. I can’t praise this clinic enough.

Del Norte Animal Hospital
10449 Reserve Dr #140, San DiegoI brought my reactive, rescued Australian Shepherd to Del Norte Animal Hospital at the recommendation of a friend.for a skin issue and to get her tested for heartworm medication. Since we were new, my Aussie was given a full exam. We saw Dr. Meyer, assisted by Elizabeth. If I could hive 10 stars I would. They were so getle and patient with my dog and spent a lot of time to get her comfortable with them before her exam. Their pricing was reasonable and we left with a firm diagnosis for the skin issue and a treatment plan. I am very picky about Veterinarians, Dr. Meyer listened to my concerns, was very knowledgeable and overall quite impressive. I highly recommend Del Norte Animal Hospital, and especially Dr. Meyer.

Precious Pet Care San Diego
5361 Roswell St, San DiegoI cannot thank Precious Petcare and my Wedding Pet Attendants (Hilary & Tory) enough!!!
First of all, Leila and her staff were very easy to communicate with throughout the entire process, and they ensured that my 2 fur kids would get the best care possible for my big day.
When the big day came, I felt SO comfortable with Hilary & Tory’s capabilities as ‘temporary’ dog mommas for my special day. It took such a HUGE burden and relief off of my shoulders, knowing that they were in such good hands.
They were both able to keep my pups calm and happy, even with Scooter’s terrible separation anxiety! They also followed my detailed instructions to a TEE, and walked our ‘Ring Bearer’ and ‘Flower Pup’ down the aisle with no issues!
They did an amazing job getting their energy out by constantly walking them around, letting them enjoy nature (they even saw a deer), playing with them, and keeping them well treated and extra cozy (Scooter was warm and wrapped in a blankie when he got chilly!).
They truly watched them like hawks, snuggled them, and treated them like their own. When I saw them both with the pups (and heard nothing but amazing comments from my guests!), I knew that they were in amazing hands and I could be calm, relax, and really enjoy myself.
They were also a great influence on my young pup, Millie, and her shyness around other people! We noticed such a huge improvement in Millie the day after the wedding! She was like a whole new dog. She’s so much less skittish after having the opportunity to meet with so many guests. I thank Hilary & Tory for giving her that opportunity, as it was much needed for a young rescue dog!
They were stellar at their jobs —- they were punctual, kind, calm, professional, organized and dedicated.
I also can’t thank them enough for the amazing photos that they sent. They are my absolute favorite photos for sure, and I’m so glad that they captured those moments for me (as the bride misses all the fun! Lol).
I highly recommend Precious Petcare!!! 5 stars

The Human Dog Team
4414 33rd St, San DiegoIf you want to have the most meaningful relationship with your dog, Gonzalo is the trainer for you! Working with him has been a truly life-changing process for my fiance, me and our dog, Chef.
Chef, our 3 year old lab, has had issues with leash reactivity and anxiety since he was a puppy. Before enlisting Gonzalo’s help, we had seen behaviorists, vets, and multiple dog trainers to try to understand his behavior and why we were unable to even walk around the block without an anxiety episode.
After meeting with Gonzalo, he was able to understand our situation and tailor a training program. While this did require work on our end, the instruction we received from Gonzalo was clear and provided results quickly. Between one on one sessions, Gonzalo also provided group classes, group hikes, and prompt replies to questions and videos on WhatsApp.
Gonzalo has proven to us time and time again that he has a deep understanding of dog behavior and emotions, as well as a passion to improve the bonds between dogs and their owners. Our experiences in the group classes has shown us that Gonzalo does not have a “one size fits all” approach, but rather tailors methods that work best for you and your dog with an emphasis on having clear communication. Whether you have a new puppy or an older dog with a particular issue, you will not be disappointed.
It’s hard to put into words the bond that we now have with Chef. Interacting with him is more than just orders and obedience, it’s clear communication and understanding. He now enjoys walks to the park, fetch, coffee shops, off leash hikes, and much much more. Not only do we feel safer with him, but he seems to be living a much happier life. We truly did not think we would be here. Thank you Gonzalo!

3015 Adams Ave, San DiegoThe food and service are great. Atmosphere is like a typical French bistro, but more attentive (iykyk). We had escargot with delicious baguette for appetizer. Main dishes: steak frite, duck leg confit. Both delicious. Wine by the glass. Decent selection. Wine by the bottle. Lots of choices from expensive to outrageous ($1000+). One thing tho... Parking in the area is atrocious! Plan ahead. We circled for 20 min and found a spot about half a mile away in a residential area. There is a very popular ice cream place next door (An's Dry Cleaning) with a line literally around the block so that contributes to terrible parking. No valet option.

Taste of Denmark
142 University Ave, San DiegoSuch a cute little place with amazing owners. Had lunch here and knew nothing about Danish food. The owner was so informative and we went with her suggestions. I loved the rye bread but my son said he wasn't sure it had enough bread to be called so ? Do make sure you end your meal with a danish. And make sure to order it at the start of your meal so they can get it into the oven. If I'd known how delicious they would be I'd have ordered more to go. I had planned to share the one I ordered but it went directly into my mouth. The chocolate milk typically drank in Denmark with the hotdogs was so good. I'm looking forward to going back and trying more items on the menu. And the juices! My son is already planning to take his wife so you know it was good. Parking can be difficult. You will pay for it. In the heart of Hillcrest. We strolled over to No 1 after. So fun! Tables inside and out. And other bakeries nearby if you have a sweet tooth like me

2867 El Cajon Blvd, San DiegoBeen coming here for a while but first time leaving a review. (I know, my bad) The atmosphere is one of a kind and that’s due to a couple of factors…I’ll start with the space itself. Never in a million years would I imagine a backyard oasis to exist off El Cajon Blvd. As soon as you walk in you are transported. Picnic tables, beautiful trees, ever growing vines, and fire pits with the comfiest chairs encircling them designed to bring a community together. Legitimately, I have made so many new friends in my life because of this place!
Now for the crew…this space would be NOTHING without the incredible team of people working this location. They are knowledgeable, friendly and just delightful humans that instantly know how to make you feel right at home. I have yet to find a place where the staff can match this one of a kind energy.
Now for the beer…TL:DR there are so many options and they are all made extremely well!
Having grown up in the land of craft beer during the craft beer movement (ie: San Diego) I’m spoiled, I know. They have so many different beers on tap that I would normally never try anywhere else because it’s just not my thing. But every beer is so thoughtfully created that I keep being surprised at what new beers I enjoy each time I come see what’s new.

San Diego Humane Society
5500 Gaines St, San DiegoThis organization is beyond amazing. My partner and I went to adopt a dog unfortunately, the volunteers would not allow the dog off the leash in a safe space, and they kept feeding the dog, which did not allow us an opportunity for the dog to come to us so we could bond with it for a few minutes that experience destroyed the opportunity for us to get the dog. I hope they change their policies and allow potential foster and adopted pet parents to literally spend just a few minutes bonding with the animal. They’re trying to adopt it destroyed our motivation, but the organization is incredible.

Project Wildlife
5433 Gaines St, San DiegoStmbled upon what appeared to be an injured/weak hawk in our parking lot. This was just prior to dusk. We made it to the San Diego Project Wildlife office before they closed. Very thankful that there is a place where they can evaluate and treat these precious animals.

GOTCATS? SAN DIEGO
4640 Cass St #9965, San DiegoFantastic cat rescue staffed by the most lovely, dedicated volunteers. The volunteers work hard to place the rescued kittens with the best families. They don’t have a physical location, all the rescues are being fostered at various homes of the volunteers. I highly recommend Got Cats and kudos to all of the volunteers who are doing their best to place rescues in loving homes in San Diego.
