I had requested for Cindy as the groomer, and the receptionist, Nicky, was so kind to coordinate our appointment over the phone the next day. The minute we took our little shih tzu Momo inside, Nicky immediately recognized us and was very thoroughly with understanding our request for keeping Momo’s hair long while giving her a peekaboo shave. :)
Momo was really nervous at first but the team really took care of her during her stay. Cindy did an amazing job with Momo’s haircut, and as pet parents— we loved Nicky’s positivity and attentiveness. We definitely will be coming back. Thank you so much!

4836 Newport Avenue, San DiegoBeen going here for all of my dogs’ needs for the past 5 years, and I absolutely love seeing good people with a good business continue to grow. I can’t believe I somehow forgot to leave a review in the past.
A couple things that really stand out:
* When my Husky was dealing with a terminal brain tumor, they recommended a CBD supplement that really seemed to help him. It also helped with his anxiety around fireworks, which was a huge bonus.
* They always have a great selection of treats, so there’s never a shortage of things to spoil the dog with.
* Their prices are competitive with online stores, and they have a bunch of buy so many get one free deals that make it even better.
*They have sent us texts when an item is out of stock and is back in stock.
* They also offer bathing area for dogs, which is incredibly convenient. Our Cavalier absolutely hates going there because he thinks he’s getting a bath every time, but we personally love having that option—even if Doug (our dog) is kind of a knob about it. 😂
*I don’t know the couples name that own it but they have always greeted us with kindness anytime we have been in there.
I hope they continue to thrive!

I have a fairly large 1-year-old Rottweiler named Winston and the staff was extremely helpful and patient explained everything to me The price was amazing I did the blueberry facial self wash and used the blow dryer area they had de-shedding tools available The staff was knowledgeable if I had any question and they offer grooming services as well in case I wanted to get him a haircut it's just the perfect place. The jams were awesome they were listening to the now that's what I call music CDs and I knew every lyric so I was singing to my dog while I was washing him hands down best experience I could have ever had!! Also you're welcome to whoever got to enjoy my free karaoke show

3055 Clairemont Drive, San DiegoWe have been shopping here for about one year now and they’re the only store in town that carries the dog food that our little wiener dog will eat. In all of the craziness of life we completely ran out and I called Decker’s at 6:08 PM. They answered the phone and told me they were closed and I begged them to stay open because I just lived five minutes away and I would come and pick up the food immediately and they pulled the food and waited for us to arrive. You can’t get that kind of service anywhere anymore. Thank God for this kind of Customer Service. We will be Decker’s customers forever.

Cages are a decent price. The prices overall are good and comparable to online sites for the most part. I've boarded my birds only a couple of times, but it was a good experience, and my birds didn't seem to disturbed. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I have not purchased a bird here. My only gripe is the heavy metal sometimes played.

I used to make my dog food at home but this business and their expertise has made me have one less thing to do every week or so and it's so nutritious for my dog and it makes me feel proactive for my dogs over all health and wellness. The staff here are so nice, kind, caring and knowledgeable and I appreciate them so much for the love and intention they pour into their dog food. On 10/23 I was also there around 4:30 and this woman walked in and immediately insulted the smell of the place (you're in a raw dog food shop) by saying 'it smells bad in here' and proceeded to stand there and look around while I was being checked out and also going over the reward system and the points I accumulated. We both looked at her kind of in shock, and I was helped out with the rest of my order. She then proceeds to reach over to right in front of me to take dog treats (that are made with love in house btw) and leave. There was no questions about what the place is about or inquiries about what the purpose of the shop was. Just a really rude comments and then proceeds to take free stuff and leave. I (being a human with eyes), reacts and says 'that was so incredibly rude', not weird, RUDE. BECAUSE IT WAS. as a customer and an objective person, I have a right to point out and speak about how incredibly rude and entitled that was. and we both were shocked that someone would walk into an establishment, complain about how it smells and then take free stuff and leave. The review down below giving this place a one star is not surprising given the interaction I witnessed but I just want to say is not at all my experience going here. These people are so caring and thoughtful and passionate. If raw dog food isn't your thing, that's fine but don't insult a passionate company and then complain like they did something to you. You came in with an attitude and then took it to the internet. Honestly crazy.
Anyway, if you want your dog to love eating and be lean and healthy and have energy and support two passionate people who care about canine health and wellness, I 1000% recommend these wonderful people. I will never regret making the investment for my dogs health. I have an 11 year old chihuahua and she still seems like she's 5 because of her diet and I will forever praise and be grateful for these wonderful human beings

I have been taking my dog Mavis here since she was a puppy. I highly recommend socializing, and prefer this safe environment over dog parks. She absolutely loves it here and comes home completely pupped out lol.
The staff is attentive and friendly. They share pictures every couple hours. Drop off and pick-ups are easy and quick.
The grooming is always Top Notch. Even when playing all day, she doesn't come home smelling like dogs.
They also give out FREE food samples from a partnering company.

He has a great personality and interacted with my pup right away. After asking me what I wanted for my fur baby he assured me it would go great. I felt easy leaving my baby for the first time. Boy...was I impressed when he walked her out. I would recommend this place for sure. ONLY 1 DOWNSIDE...THE PARKING. The Barking Lot of Hillcrest
3781 Park Boulevard, San DiegoWe’ve been to Mo multiple times, and he has always been incredibly gentle with my dog and given her some of the prettiest cuts she’s ever had, which is why I trusted him so much.
Unfortunately, this last time her hair was cut really short without me realizing that was going to happen. I was there when she was finished, but it took me a little time to process how drastic the change was. Once I got home, it honestly broke my heart. My fluffy little Yorkie now looks naked and very boy-like. I really love the specific look of the breed and have always tried to keep her fluffy, Yorkie appearance, so this was especially upsetting.
What makes it harder for me to understand is that she wasn’t matted, and she is a very calm dog during grooming. She needed a bath and some hygienic trimming, but I don’t understand why her entire body had to be taken this short without discussing it with me first. Now it will take months for her coat to grow back. Every time I look at her now I feel so sad
The cut itself is clean, so my issue isn’t the technical quality of the grooming. I just wish such a major change had been communicated beforehand.
I’d still trust Mo to be gentle and caring with a pup, but if you have a long-coated breed or care about preserving a specific breed look, I’d be extremely clear about the length you want left and confirm it more than once beforehand.

We’ve been going to Coastview for years because it was close and convenient and this was the best visit by far. Leanne did an incredible job keeping both of our dogs calm and we were able to complete all of the exams quickly and effectively including drawing blood and vaccines. In the past we’ve had to restrain or comfort the dogs more but this time it was easy!! The energy and approach was incredible and we were grateful for such a smooth experience. Their veterinary technicians and assistants are equally incredible, and Jessica has always gone above and beyond. He makes you feel at ease immediately upon talking with him. He stewarded me through the passing of my Beloved 15 year old senior cat. He couldn't have been kinder, caring and knowledgeable. He clearly explains what to do in a tough pet situation, and what not to do. So there's no confusion. Which is hard when you are emotional over your pet. I also like his auto reminders for appointments. And that you can call and talk to a real Vet tech to make an appointment, or ask questions. No annoying phone tree. Just great customer service. In a clean office. Parking is easy in the lot where the business is, and it's right off the freeway. The vet techs are always so kind to my kitties.

I was so frustrated by being bitten and constantly jumped on from behind. I really didn’t know how to manage. I got my girl back a week ago today and boy has she improved. No biting, just a bit of jumping and easy to walk on a leash. Of course I’m not the same as Danny, the trainer, but she’s following some simple commands and I’m enjoying her so much more.

24 Hour Dog Daycare

My father was admitted into the hospital and his dog had severe separation anxiety and was howling all night so none of us could sleep. 24 Hour Dog Daycare boarded her immediately and even extended her stay. She started out with just her own room but they decided to introduce her to the dogs in daycare and she is enjoying herself very much! The report cards are comprehensive and written with love and the photos are of course great. Since my father's health is quickly declining it's good to know we have a boarding option until we can figure out how to deal with her separation anxiety. Thanks to all the caring staff at 24 Hour Dog Daycare! I know there are several choices in San Diego but I highly recommend this place for both boarding and day care.

Gonzalo changed all that. He did an amazing job educating me and giving me the tools to help Daisy get past that behavior.
He breaks things down for you and your dog so that each lesson can be practiced at home. He takes his time—not ever rushing; answering all your questions and giving great training advice. He is funny and deeply cares.
Daisy does not bark in the car anymore and she is not reactive on the leash any longer.
I will always be grateful to Gonzalo. I can enjoy my dog and take my little grandson on a drive with the Big Girl (Daisy). 12 + wonderful years to come.

I was on the hunt for a smaller boarding/daycare environment for my nervous pup because he doesn't thrive in bigger facilities with tons of dogs. My first phone call with Emily was great - I could tell right away she had the expertise and genuine care for all dogs that I was looking for. I'm so happy I found Down to Earth Dogs and so is my pup!! We get pictures and texts during all of his stays and he always comes home exhausted, happy and ready for his next playdate with all his friends.

The owner is so nice and knows his regular clients by name. The employees he has working with him are very professional and it just seems they have a good vibe in the work place my Lilly feel the good vibe, I know that.
I’m very pleased with milly’s pet grooming and I recommend them 100%. Take you forever friend and you’ll see how good they are at what they do.

From our first visit to today, I am incredibly impressed. We shopped and tried a couple other daycares in the area but immediately knew Doozydog was the daycare for us. I believe the quality of this place is a direct reflection of outstanding management. Kristen sets high expectations of all of her staff and it’s evident she has selected team members who genuinely care for every dog. I never have a single worry when dropping off my pups.
When we first started utilizing DoozyDog, I only had one dog. Knowing the level of care provided by Kristen and her staff made it an easier decision to get a second dog. Now, both of my dogs get so excited when we arrive that they climb over each other to get inside. Our dogs always come home completely tuckered out and pass straight out after dinner, which tells me exactly how much fun they've had all day. Just look at these happy pup photos.
They have extra activities on some days for example playtime bubbles and celebrating birthdays. The facility is clean, and I’ve been in a few other daycares where you can tell cleaning, sanitizing, and ventilation or circulation of air is lacking.
The staff are wonderful, they quickly learned my pups' names and greet us warmly at every drop-off and pickup. I love the report card photos. Doozydog does have a camera system where you can watch live, which was a big plus to me initially. However, I learned fairly quickly I didn’t have the need to check in as I know they are in the best hands. Kristen treats these dogs as if they were her own, works tirelessly to please every parent, and takes immense pride in her work. She has even called personally to check on my dogs when they have missed days due to illness. If Kristen ever left, I honestly don’t know what we would do.
The rates are reasonable, not the most expensive but not the cheapest. I would be suspicious of any daycare that offers lower rates because what are they cutting corners on? We love taking advantage of their end-of-the-month package deals. We’ve also utilized their individual or group walk packages. Their hours are great too for people with busy schedules. For boarding, we book a suite for maximum comfort. The staff strictly follow feeding and medication instructions and sends us updates, which I appreciate. Their grooming services (bath/brush, and nail trims) are also incredibly convenient to have in all in one spot. They truly do have it all!
Even when we moved out of the downtown area we still utilize Doozydog even when other options were closer. We are so grateful for Kristen and the team, we can’t recommend them enough!

We were greeted at the door by the own and immediately loved the vibe. Our bar tender/server, Paola, welcomed us like old friends and got right down to the business of helping us choose a wine that we would love. She asked about our preferences, and chose a tasting of three outstanding Italian wines giving us not only a description of each wine, but her reason for choosing them. We thoroughly enjoyed the entire process and even more so, the bottle that we chose. We then ordered a light dinner of salads and she treated us to some amazing fresh focaccia to go with them. For dessert we splurged for the tiramisu and was so glad we did. This wine bar was such a fabulous find that we went back the following evening as well for another wine adventure with Paola. This wine bar is truly a hidden gem! I would recommend Vinarius to all of my friends and can't wait for my next visit!

325 W Washington St #2197, San DiegoI had an amazing experience with Mutt Scouts. I went to an adoption event hosted at my favorite brewery, and left knowing I wanted this sweet boy. They were incredibly responsive to all my questions about him and the adoption process.
I love how they had a thorough vetting process- you can tell they are careful with who they adopt their dogs out to, a consideration which is very important to me.
They also take steps to insure the adoption will be a good fit: they allowed me to do a foster-to-adopt rather than move straight to adoption so that I could be sure of my decision. They checked in frequently for progress and were immediately available to answer any questions or concerns I had every day.
Every step of the way I felt supported by them and could see they care about the dogs they rescue. I haven’t seen this level of effort before and I’m grateful they saved him off the streets (he had mange and was 12 pounds when they found him). They gave him the opportunity for a happy life.

I always choose them whenever I need someone to look after my bunnies, even though we live quite far away. They're absolutely worth the drive!
First of all, they specialize exclusively in rabbits. No cats or dogs around, just a quiet environment that's ideal for our fluffy buns. They also check every rabbit beforehand and require vaccinations, so you can feel confident that your bunny is staying in a safe and healthy environment.
Their communication is 15 out of 10!
My picky rabbit refused to eat the pellets they provided, and they let me know about this at the very first sign. We were able to arrange delivery of his usual pellets directly to their place the very next day. I really appreciated how attentive and professional they were.
I'd absolutely use them again and recommend them to anyone looking for a rabbit boarding service. Literally the best!

He loves playing ball and has brought so much joy to our family. A few years later, we came back and found a flame point Siamese kitten who has grown into the best cat we’ve ever had.
The staff is always so kind and you can tell they truly care about all the animals. I’m so grateful for the pets we’ve found here, and I will always come back to the Humane Society when we’re ready to add another family member.
