Marin Raw
245 San Anselmo Ave, San AnselmoIf you are looking to feed your dog the very best food and give the very best supplements, Marin Raw is the place to go! Elizabeth, the owner, is absolutely amazing! She is extremely knowledgeable and incredibly helpful and provides the best customer service! She cares deeply about giving the very best care to our four-legged family members, and that absolutely shows in the kinds of food, treats, and supplements she sells at her stores. I recently started my dog on the Marin Raw brand raw food and my dog LOVES it. I was concerned about giving my dog raw because in the past he did not like raw (I’ve tried many different brands before discovering Marin Raw) but Elizabeth gave me guidance on how to introduce him to raw (thank you, Elizabeth!).

I’ve bough treats, toys and have two VERY happy customers. The owner even helped me order specific rain jackets so my partner could see them— he’s colorblind. Big thanks!

House Of Dog
15 Ross Ave, San AnselmoNot only do they do a great job on my parents’ dog, but they went out of their way to offer assistance to my elderly parents to help make sure the dog gets regular attention at a reasonable price. They suggested something that I would’ve never had that wherewithal to even ask for, which was a pick up and drop off. Now the dog will get a deep brushing every week and washed and cut every month. Now the dog is happy, my parents are happy, my sister and I are happy. It meant a lot that they were willing to go that extra mile to make sure it was as stress-free for my parents and the dog as possible. Thank you House of Dog!!

Pet Care

Ross Valley Veterinary Hospital
190 Sir Francis Drake Blvd, San AnselmoI love this practice. My dog usually sees Dr. Sachs, but on a Monday she's not there. I called early morning as my dog was having issues in need of urgent care. Heather, the owner and practice manager got us seen that day. She even let me know if any cancellations occurred that morning, she'd get us seen sooner. My dog has a lot of anxiety at the practice and knowing his veterinarian, Dr. Robert Sahaghian, was fear free certified really eased MY anxiety. This was our first time meeting him and he was so wonderful and gentle with Boomer. I'm comforted knowing he has two doctors now. Dr. Sahaghian followed up with me quickly regarding his labs, and was thorough and patient with my questions. I honestly, couldn't recommend another family practice more. Thank you always, RVVH! ??❤️?

Bubbala's Neighborhood Eatery
906 Sir Francis Drake Blvd, San AnselmoI’m a New Yorker and this is the real deal. An honest to goodness Egg Cream! If you want chopped liver, you might want to let them know a little bit ahead of time. It’s good. Pleasantly perfect pickle. Nice to eat outside.

Pizzalina - San Anselmo
914 Sir Francis Drake Blvd, San AnselmoGreat, inventive pizza options. But even better is the service! The ample waiters are all smiles, and we've dined there maybe a dozen times over the past few years, but on our last visit, our kids were greeted by name with their favorite orders known by heart - I've never experienced that level of service at any other restaurant. We were all delighted.
The pizza never disappoints, and the quality seems high. Love the gluten free crust!

M. H. Bread and Butter
101 San Anselmo Ave, San AnselmoAfter moving to San Anselmo in 1996, I finally visited M.H. Bread and Butter, drawn in by the crowds. Ms. Jenny, the manager, suggested trying the lemon bread, Queen Aman, raspberry croissants, and 'medium country' bread. Brahim, the owner's brother, highlighted the positives of working there. The area's connections to the Grateful Dead, Metallica, and Huey Lewis and the News and was at one time Bonnie Raite an Santana's residence make it even more special.

Comforts
335 San Anselmo Ave, San AnselmoFood was great, local and fresh, and it was served faster than I expected, because it was pretty busy and during Brunch. Great atmosphere, nice and warm in the summer mid morning sun, not too disturbed from the traffic and noise, and the service was good! Definitely coming back again!

cucina sa
510 San Anselmo Ave, San AnselmoI went to San Anselmo with my wife and daughter last week during the Argentina (was rooting for Messi) match. The town looked fantastic once on my way back from Olema and so went back there to have lunch. We thought the place would be nice during the summer days and on 3rd July. But we were kind of disappointed at the beginning, as stayed longer after lunch while watching the game on TV (slightly grumpy bar guy was reluctant to turn the tv sound on, but later he demanded for a pretty please and volume was on - he must have had a long day - anyway he was nice afterwards). Then we saw people were showing up after 3pm and later (the town blocks the roads for live music and kids activities, food etc) - by the time the game was ending the restaurant was full of people with locals mostly. I loved their food and dessert too. Next time will try wine (it seems that is good stuff there). Overall a great experience…

Flour Craft Bakery
702 San Anselmo Ave, San AnselmoMy friend took me to Flour Craft for her favorite lox and bagel dish. Dish was a good portion with very fresh ingredients. It is nice to eat a nourishing meal that satisfies the tastebuds and your wellbeing. Really great place for folks looking for gluten-free items. They also had some glute-free grocery items available inside the store. We had our lox and bagels to-go but there are some seats inside and outside available. Make a special trip and enjoy the darling village vibe of San Anselmo!
