Taly Grooming
1 Harbor Dr Suite 300, SausalitoTaly is the only one in the bay area that I'll have groom my dog. Until I found her, I got my little poodle groomed when I traveled elsewhere.
My dog is petrified of loud sounds such as blow dryers, but she has no fear when Taly drys her. She is comforted when Taly holds her.
It's easy to get appointments when you need them. The "haircut" is perfect! The dog is soooo cuddly. It's true that grooming can be calm, stress free, and a positive experience with Taly Groomers.

The Marine Mammal Center
2000 Bunker Rd, SausalitoWe just happened upon this wonderful place! We loved seeing and learning about the current mammals being rescued. The staff and volunteers freely shared their knowledge of the animals and the care they received. Really a wonderful experience! We are thankful for all the people who dedicate their time to this rescue organization.

Dog Boarding Sausalito
7 Issaquah Dock, SausalitoSidney at Dog Boarding Sausalito is absolutely terrific! It can be stressful leaving your dog behind, but Sidney makes us feel completely at ease with Rufus (our Cockapoo). She provides care in her own home, and her level of dedication is unmatched. She even bought Rufus his own bed to make sure he felt right at home!
She is incredibly caring and affectionate, and we love the regular text updates and photos she sends to show us how Rufus is doing. It is such a relief to know he is in such a loving environment while we are away. Highly recommended!

Bay K9 Training
1 Harbor Dr, SausalitoPaul is an excellent and experienced trainer, kind person, and knows an incredible amount of about dogs. He taught us so much, both during our sessions and after with follow up content. He was great with our fearful and reactive dog, taking the time to build her confidence, and teaching me what to do, how and when to do it. She also stayed with him for a week or so while we were away and did very well. We plan to continue working with Paul and trust him completely!

Scoma's of Sausalito
588 Bridgeway, SausalitoThe last time I dined at Scoma's in Sausalito must have been decades ago. I made a reservation here because I had a guest visiting from out of town and wanted a scenic spot with views of the Bay. The restaurant was gracious enough to honor the request I made on OpenTable for a window seating at lunch. The view was exquisite! The room was filled to capacity yet it was easy to have a quiet conversation. Lunch started with a fried calamari appetizer which was good but the light batter was flaking off some of the pieces. One entree ordered was spaghetti with crab and the handmade pasta was perfect and generously loaded with crab meat. The red sauce was flavorful well balanced. The other entree was linguine with clams. Our waitress allowed us to substitute a handmade fettuccine for the linguine and that dish was spectacular. The noodle had such a nice texture and chew! Now that we established that the food scored high and quality and taste, I have to point out the service was unparalleled. From the moment we walked into the restaurant, we were greeted by the staff, immediately seated, and received constant attention. The food service was fast and efficient. Scoma's truly makes you feel special and welcome. I couldn't have asked for more.

Travis Marina
1679 Sommerville Rd, SausalitoSadly, a day for Celebration of life gathering and Remembrance. A spectacular historical spot Travis Marina Bar & Grill located as part of the history of Fort Point, Cavalo Inn and Lodge Property's. The Travis Marina holds the very traditional buildings with its small Marina and Horse Shoe Cove with the most spectacular view of the Golden Gate Bridge-SF. The medium size event space was perfect to share stories and reflect on a life well lived, a longtime Friend, whom sailed his boat on the Bay, Crewed on racing teams and wore his Kilts. This hidden gem, right in our own back yard has much to offer in upgraded hiking trails, with Park benches and includes The Discovery Museum on the park site. Sausalito is my most memorable place to spend time.

Joinery
300 Turney St, SausalitoGreat lunch spot, especially on a nice sunny day where you can dine outdoors. We had the pork tacos (10/10 holy cow these were good!), Summer Salad (fresh and crispy), The Burger (classically done), and fries (crispy and hot). The overall quality of the food was excellent. We came on a week day at 11:30am to beat the lunch rush, although once it got busy the line still moved quickly. The format is: order with the cashier, get a number, pick a table, and wait for the food delivery. It works!

Other

Animal Sanctuary and Care Society
668 Bridgeway, SausalitoThey are so loving with the dogs and cats. My new cat did not want to leave with me. She stuffed herself in a small basket and refused to come out. They have alot of volunteers coming through and recording their play time with them: petting, just giving some attention. When I left, I did not feel bad for the others left behind. They were very happy
