Pet Food Express
265 Davis St, San LeandroThe store is clean and well-organized. The staff is friendly and helped me find a safe and convenient clumping grass litter for my young kitten, making cleanup much easier. They offer high-quality cat food and specialty litters I couldn’t find elsewhere and their price for them is very reasonable. The self-serve dog wash is a convenient bonus. This is a great spot for unique products and genuinely helpful staff

Mike's Feed & Pets
685 E 14th St, San LeandroMike's I've been knowing about Mike's feed and pet shop when they were across the street at the old location and not much changed buy the address they still supply quality fish , fish foods and what I always go there for is the live black worms not only do they sell the worms for decades now but they only charge 5 bucks a Oz it's not the cheapest but when it comes to black worms you definitely don't want to be buying the cheapest ones they have good quality worms at a fair price there fish selection is alright not the best I've seen these days but it is a step up from a petco or petsmart if you are thinking about getting into the hobby this is a great place to go get you some starter fish and plants and for the advanced fish keepers if your looking for some live foods for your wet pets you'll definitely find some here they sell worms, feeder fish and a good selection of frozen foods for your fish I picked myself up some black worms and baby brine shrimp for my fry I have I hope this was helpful

Fluff Dog Grooming
16254 Foothill Blvd, San LeandroExcellent business. I take my standard poodle here, and Heather is very skilled and dedicated. I first went there when my lil man had some awful mats (my bad buddy), and kept going because the quality is right. It’s expensive, no doubt, but hey - we live in the Bay Area.

Banfield Pet Hospital
15555 E 14th St Suite 603, San LeandroMy dog had been suffering from a terrible flea infection, but with the proper medication and good guidance, everything cleared up nicely.

Dog Time! Stay and Play
2489 Washington Ave, San LeandroTony, Krista, and the entire staff are fantastic! We've been using DogTime for over a year and I cannot imagine it will change anytime soon. We use them for daycare and for boarding. They really know and care about every dog, are easy to communicate with, and my dog loves them! Not to mention they went above and beyond in helping my family as we navigated having a baby. Before DogTime we used Wag, but I was uncomfortable with the dog to human ratio in their rooms and noticed my dog was coming home with new concerning behaviors, so we made the switch. From the evaluation day alone I was sold - I got more details about how my dog was behaving and interacting in one day than in months at the other place. I can check in on the cameras, they sometimes send pictures, and I often get an update on how he's doing and who he's playing with at the end of the day. My dog is a big dog that gets very excited to see me at the end of the day, and they help work with him to practice being calm(ish) at pick up- they really reinforce the behaviors we work on at home. The thing that prompted me to write this review is how supportive they were when I had a baby a couple of months ago. Tony and Krista have kids and dogs themselves, and were so helpful in talking through how I could successfully introduce the baby and dog and ensure everyone's safety and happiness. They were also flexible as we got closer to the due date, and went above and beyond in letting us drop off the dog when I went into labor without a firm boarding reservation ahead of time. I don't know how we could have done it without them, they are fully a part of our village!

K9 Sniffers
534 C, Lewelling Blvd, San LeandroCurrently taking classes at K9 Sniffers in San Leandro. Steve B (the trainer) is great, and more importantly patient with my sometimes overly active dog.The class has helped my dog become calmer and less anxious. Dogs really enjoy this activity which requires the use of their bodies and there minds. Any breed of dog can participate. Awesome class.

Sabino's Coffee Shop
1273 MacArthur Blvd, San LeandroLocal Spotlight: Sabino’s Cafe in San Leandro
If you’re looking for a friendly, locally owned spot to grab a great cup of coffee in San Leandro, do yourself a favor and skip the international coffee monster down the street. Head to Sabino’s Cafe, a woman-owned gem run by the wonderful Maria and Nicky, who have built something truly special for the neighborhood.
From the moment you walk in, the vibe is warm, welcoming, and personal. Maria and Nicky are always ready with a smile, a recommendation, or a quick chat about what’s new. It’s the kind of cafe that reminds you why supporting small businesses matters — your dollars stay in the community, and you get a better experience because of it.
The coffee at Sabino’s is top-notch: rich, flavorful, and roasted with care. They even sell fresh beans to take home, which has become part of my weekly routine. It’s hard to beat the smell of freshly ground beans in the morning, especially when you know exactly where they came from.
For breakfast, their gluten-free bagel with egg and cheese has become my go-to. It’s quick, satisfying, and actually delicious — not always an easy feat for gluten-free options. If you’re in the mood for something sweeter, their banana bread is legendary. Trust me: get a slice, heat it up, and thank me later.
What really makes Sabino’s stand out is the combination of quality and community. It feels like a little hub for locals: people reading, catching up, grabbing coffee before work, or just taking a moment to slow down. In a world of drive-throughs and corporate sameness, this place is a breath of fresh air.
So if you’re in San Leandro and want great coffee, friendly service, and the satisfaction of supporting a woman-owned, community-focused business, Sabino’s Cafe should absolutely be on your list. Give it a visit — and don’t leave without the banana bread.

Kittea Cafe
1384 E 14th St, San LeandroCame here a couple times in the past few weeks while we were eating lunch in the surrounding area, and I was not disappointed! I feel like this location has gone through many businesses so I hope this one lasts! My order: large iced jasmine milk tea for $6.50, 50% sweet Pros: - easy walk-up to the kiosk or at the register - parking lot available behind the shop (which for certain hours you do have to pay) - Pretty quick service, less than 5 minute wait - Pretty broad menu with some more unique drinks that some boba shops don't have, if you come with friends who don't like tea. also has matcha - jasmine milk tea was pretty bomb - The kitty cup sleeves are so cute ! and keep your fingers from getting wet from condensation Cons: - LOL there's an uneven floor surface that I somehow trip over every time, even though it's caution yellowed already (don't be a clutz like me) - not really a place you can "sit and hang out" in the boba shop perspective - only 2 small benches inside that you can wait for your drink at, but you're better off sitting on the benches outside in the surrounding area or taking a walk with it

SAIGON YUM - Phở & Bánh Mì
15099 Hesperian Blvd, San LeandroI recently ate at Saigon Yum and very much enjoyed the food. The pho is well-flavored, slight sweetness and a good complexity in the flavor. I liked how big the portion size was and they were very fair with the cut of meat, I had a perfect amount to finish with my noodles. The Bun Bo Hue is equally good, though I wish it included the blood cubes and pork trotter (saw it was unavailable as an add on). I also really liked their banh mi dac biet- again really tasty and a good size for the price.
The restaurant is nicely decorated, I love all the plants everywhere and it has a nice counter space too. The service was really friendly and we were given plenty of time to enjoy the environment. Thanks for a good dining experience.

15032 Farnsworth St, San LeandroCame here around 10pm. We were hungry and this place just opened and was open late so it was perfect!
The food was DELICIOUS. We got a few dumpling plates and each of us got a soup. I got the sweet and sour soup and it was so good 10/10.
I ended up coming again for the second time the same week and got the black truffle dumplings and brisket soup and it was also really good 10/10. This place has become my new food spot

SONS OF LIBERTY ALEHOUSE
150 W Juana Ave, San LeandroCame in on Monday night, it was busy which made me happy cause it must be good. We were seated quickly. Emily our server was awesome! Great food & cocktail suggestions. She appeared to be the only server on the floor, impressive. We had ribs, brussel sprouts and artichoke dip- those ribs OMG. Don’t skip. For dinner pork tenderloin was juicy and a big dish. Friends got brisket and tacos. We had some wine at dinner and cocktails during apps.
The notorious fig and Ginny on the block were both great. For sure will be back.

Porky's Pizza Palace
1221 Manor Blvd, San LeandroPorky’s Pizza is pure nostalgia for me. It had been quite a while since my last order because I moved away from the Manor, but since I’m still within driving distance, I decided to treat myself today.
Unfortunately, there was a mix-up and the pizza was made without sauce, so the toppings were sliding right off. I used the feedback link they sent to my phone to let them know. To my surprise, the manager called me tonight and issued a full refund without me even asking!
Even after being away for a while, it’s great to see that their customer service is still top-notch. That’s how you keep a long-time customer. I’ll definitely be back sooner next time!

Tony’s Taco Truck
2955 Merced St, San LeandroThis taco truck is pure magic!!
Dolores isn’t just cooking — She’s pouring love into every single meal she serves!!
Dolores will often say that she always cooks with love; like she is feeding her own family; her own kids; her dearest friends, and her food is a very good reflection of that!!
I’ve tried several different things on Tony’s Taco Truck’s menu, and each one is deeply satisfying in its own way.
Every flavor feels intentional, every bite comforting.
But for me, their chorizo breakfast burrito? That’s next-level!! Perfectly balanced between scrumptious spicy goodness, and the other classic Mexican flavors that we’ve all come to know and love!! The kind of bite that makes you just close your eyes and throw back your head in pure gratitude that you are even lucky enough to experience something that good, especially knowing not everyone can say that!!
Max is always very attentive and kind, working the window, while his mom works her magic at the grill, like the legend that she is!!
This isn’t just a taco truck — it’s a rolling temple of comfort food!!
Everything here is made with love, and it certainly shows!!
