“Moving is never a stress-free experience, so we weren’t completely surprised when a couple of complications arose while having some of our belongings moved into temporary storage at ExtraSpace on U Street. But the staff of Tiffany, Melodie and Darnell were true professionals – friendly and pleasant to deal with – and easily resolved the hiccups. Most importantly, we were treated with fairness – with no hidden surprises or surcharges. (At least that’s true as of this time – we’ll update the review if that changes at any point.) Based on our experience, we’re now fans, we’re enjoying our “Extra Space”, and we can strongly recommend their U Street location!”

“I've used Bookstore Movers for three moves now during my DC tenure and they are, in a word, amazing. When you submit a request, they get back to you within an hour with an estimate. They are really helpful with everything you need to get done pre-move, the moving truck rolls to your front door exactly on time, and they are quick and efficient but very safe with the move -- everything gets wrapped up and taped up. All in all, we were done with a two-bedroom house move ten miles down the road (farewell, DC) in two hours. 100% recommend.”

“It's relatively cheaper than other places. That's the main reason I think anyone uses it. But be warned, they will increase your rent and the very low monthly is just to get you in the door (still a relatively good deal though). If you're just using it for a month, you're fine, but after about 3 your rent will increase. The elevators break down a lot, like today, as I move out. Thank goodness I hired movers. Anyway, it's fine but can't give it 5 starts.”
