They didn't have the color I was looking for, but instead of saying they didn't have it and leaving it at that, the awesome human being there brought out his favorite color in stock so I could see it in person. Absolutely loved the color-- never would have known it was available if not for coming in. Had a great conversation, and he pointed me to great spots in the neighborhood (the riverfront area and the Exorcist stairs)! I wish I'd gotten his name-- it's a testament to the people at this store that the reviews mention so many great staff. Feels like a proper neighborhood institution. “Ramer’s is the best shoe store I’ve ever shopped at for kid’s shoes. We’ve lived in 4 different countries with our kids and have always found our way back to Ramer’s to stock up for growing feet. It’s not a store for browsing, to be sure, but let’s be honest, browsing for anything with small kids is unpleasant at best (haha). Rebecca was patient with me as I went through several pairs of shoes just so I could realize that the pair I intended to return fit just fine and didn't have a defect. The Daily Loafers I purchased online seemed to have white mark / defect on the tongue of each shoe. She explained that this occurs in deliveries specifically with the black shoes as they may rub against the cardboard boxes they are shipped in. She showed me that a simple cloth could be used to wipe that off and reminded me that these shoes are washable. I left with another pair of navy penny loafers. I like how Rothy's has a nice selection of navy shoes. That's not an easy color to find in women's shoes. Again, big thanks to Rebecca, and Happy Belated Birthday! She was working on her birthday. “Exceptional Service from Jennifer - Feedback on Return Policy I wanted to take a moment to share my recent experience at Anthropologie, particularly highlighting the outstanding service I received from Jennifer, located in Georgetown. After a disappointing experience at the Bethesda and Fairfax locations, where staff refused to assist me with returning a lilac taper candle set of 2 without a receipt, I was feeling quite frustrated. Despite explaining that I had purchased the item from the Georgetown location just a week prior and requesting that they call for my receipt number, I was met with resistance and no resolution. However, when I returned to the Georgetown store, Jennifer went above and beyond to help me. She not only located my receipt but also confirmed that the other locations had the capability to retrieve receipt numbers from their store. While she mentioned it would take some extra time, it was reassuring to know that a solution was possible. Jennifer's exceptional customer service made a significant difference in my experience. She was friendly, patient, and truly exemplified what excellent customer care should be. I genuinely appreciate her efforts and will remember the positive interactions I had with her - I think it would add value to Anthropologie if all staff was trained by Jennifer. In addition to recognizing Jennifer's exemplary service, I would like to suggest that Anthropologie consider updating its return policy. A 30 day return window for customers without receipts would be more accommodating, especially when it's clear that the product has not been used. Additionally, implementing a system for customers to select receipt emails or texts upon purchase, particularly for transactions involving gift cards, would be a helpful improvement. This would prevent situations like mine, where my gift card was discarded after use. Thank you for taking the time to read my feedback.
