“Rachel's Dowry is an exceptional bed and breakfast. The B&B is impeccably clean, perfectly situated near the stadiums and downtown, and in a safe area. The Innkeeper, Linda, is a joy to speak with, as she is a wealth of knowledge on the area, the fascinating history of the home, and the local attractions. The little touches within the space are top notch, as the decorations are beautiful, the breakfast was delicious, and our room was elegant, cozy, and extremely well kept. Rachel's Dowry is quite the find, and a big upgrade from the nearby hotels. We can't wait to return....thanks!!Rooms: Spacious and clean.Nearby activities: Walk to Camden Yards and Ravens Stadium in minutes.Safety: Baltimore can be hit or miss, neighborhood by neighborhood regarding safety, however Rachel's Dowry was in a safe area, which is very well lit and near other attractions.Walkability: It is a 2 minute walk to Camden Yards and another 5 minutes to Ravens Stadium.Food & drinks: Delicious breakfast, and little treats throughout the house during our stay.Noteworthy details: Innkeeper Linda's hospitality was the best we've experienced, and having traveled much of the world, in addition to local Baltimore area, that's quite a compliment.”

“Booked a stay for the end of March for an impromptu Baltimore trip and had a great time. As a UBalt alum, it was nice to be in the Mount Vernon neighborhood again, and it's a quick ride to the inner harbor for the tourist stuff. Front desk was very welcoming and helpful. Had a maintenance issue when the fire doors closed and I was unable to get back to my room, and everything was taken care of very promptly. Room was cute and had a great view. Make sure that you check out the wallpaper on the staircase right past the valet desk. It will surprise you.”

“The hotel was in the middle of renovations when she stayed there it did not disrupt our stay. We were upgraded at check in and got a wonderful corner suite. Two separate bedrooms with their own bathroom as well as a mini kitchenette in the common space. Laundry room available if needed. We took the hotel shuttle to and from both the airport and train station. Breakfast served each morning and there was a social hour a few nights a week and beer/wine and snacks.”

“Compared many hotels near Inner Harbor but went with this one about 20 minutes away. Partly because I wanted to attend Grace Fellowship Timonium which is about 100 yards away. (Highly recommend).Pros:Clean, inviting outsideConvenient access to highwayShops and restaurants nearbyChilis connected to hotelNice areaPlenty of free parkingCons:Traffic noiseSounds echo from hallwayBathroom tub area dirtyBathroom vent full of dust lint2 inch gap at bottom of entry doorOverall, a very good value. I waited a bit late to reserve and the price dropped $20 a night. Was about $300 cheaper than Inner Harbor plus free parking. This savings covered our rental car. Driving back and forth to the city and Inner Harbor was pretty easy. Save the $5 per person for breakfast and go to Chick Fil a or a bagel place less than a mile away. Pink ceiling made the room feel retro.Rooms: Pink ceiling, queen sized bed. Older style bathtub.Nearby activities: Horse track one mile away. Cinemark movie theater 6 miles away. 20 minutes to city.Safety: Area is clean with mainly M-F businesses so there was bury little foot traffic. Seemed to be no hidden areas.Food & drinks: Plenty of restaurants within 1-2 miles.”

“Talk about a secret gem. Close enough to the light rail station so that you never truly feel disconnected from the city, but surrounded by greenery and sloping hills. I felt like I was in some romance film, even though I was completely alone! The rooms are decent sized, but there are no mirrors outside of the bathroom and closet door. Also, the bed was much more firm than I had anticipated. Not the worst thing in the world, just reaffirmed how much I need something soft. Mt. Washington Tavern nearby is a great place to grab something to eat!”

“The location was in a remote area, I was relieved once I finally found the hotel. The receptionist wasn't too kind or helpful helping me find the room or event location that I needed to find. The lobby could use some updating. I personally would never stay at this hotel, but it's close to BWI airport.”

“A change from the typical hotel decor, with its Gatsby Era theme. It is located in downtown Baltimore, 4 blocks from the convention center and 2 more for inner Harbor. We checked in later in the evening but was able to get settled in quickly, front desk was quick and helpful. There is valet at the front door, but no valet area. I had to put my hazards on along the road to unload and pass the key to the valet, not quite safe. The rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. I like how the bathrooms actually had tiles instead of the typical bath-fitter plastic some chains have to save money. The room had a fridge, but no microwave.”

“It's been a tiny bit of time since I was there and I didn't retain much information but I remember the staff being very nice. The rooms were good and it was located in a nice area. I don't remember much else unfortunately. I did not have the breakfast there.”

“Ugh it was so dirty. The floors were very dirty and vent in the bathroom was long overdue for a change. It was corroded with dust. Its a far cry from nursery Rd motel 6. I would never stay here again. I left at 330 am bc it was imo disgusting. Hire me as a cleaning lady. I'll clean it up the way it needs to be done”

“I stayed here for only one night and it was great for the price I paid. I didn’t expect a luxury hotel, but the room was a little better than what I expected. The area I got was quiet, and everything was clean and working except one light and the headboard. The headboard fell off the wall. Other than that, it was good I’d probably stay again if I needed to.”

“Nice hotel and nice rooms. They have the Westin workout which is an upgrade from a standard gym hotel, quite a few machines and dumbbells up to 50lb. The pool was closed on 3/13/24 not sure how long that will be for.”

“This isn’t a holiday inn any longer. It is a homeless shelter for men. It’s called the times organization and it is a absolutely wonderful place to get your life in order. They provide you with resources to get you permanently off the streets and into a forever home. This is the Mayors innovative and it is absolutely working one little bit at a time. Thank you BALTIMORE CITY for showing that you care about your homeless population”

“I recently stayed here, while centrally located, fell short in several areas. The staff were friendly but the room quality is what you pay for, with outdated furniture and worn bedding. Cleanliness was passable but not meticulous. The hotel offered minimal amenities, and there was no complimentary breakfast. Additionally. This hotel could be an option for those prioritizing cost over comfort, but it needs some reinnovations , and it would be great.”
