915 W Nine Mile Rd, FerndaleOur dog was very very sick. We had 4 vets from a different vet practice tell us there was nothing left to do to save her. During this very difficult time Dr. John returned my call and shared that he wanted to help. Not only did he make our dog comfortable that night (after hours) by calling in medication, he followed up for the days on his own time. He truly saved her life when multiple other vets gave up way too soon. I have never seen a vet office with such compassion and dedication to sick animals. They truly care and go out of their way to help. My dog went from having a scheduled appointment to put her to sleep to feeling the best she has felt in years. She is happy and doing so well. I am forever grateful for west Woodward animal clinic and highly recommend them! They answered every single question and explained all outcomes. They were realistic with her possible prognosis but worked so hard to make our dog better. They also have very fair prices and in no way try to scam or do unnecessary testing to make money.

1150 E 9 Mile Rd, FerndaleVery patient, and informative after growing up on a farm and owning all sizes of pets, they were very informative, explained everything so that I could understand it, ( many clinics I've been to, talk over my head, like I'm the Dr, they put it into terms I could understand, never at anytime did I feel like I was rushed through the visit, will be making appointments for all of my pets here, they made me feel like I was more of part of the family, than a distant cousin. Thanks for the heartfelt care, and the knowledge I gained just from taking my dog here.

2221 Hilton Rd, FerndaleWe moved from NYC to Detroit about five years ago, bringing our now oldest pup Bruce, who had lived with us in NYC for roughly 10 years. We brought a range of experiences with us to Detroit: walkers, play groups, groomers, and vets. So, we had our needs and wishes, experiences good and bad, and we know the real deal when we see it. It took us a few false starts with other places for play, stay/boarding and even grooming to find our way to Puppy Love. It's likely the best referral of my life. Leslie, Stacey and the team there are deeply devoted dog lovers with a core base of knowledge, experience, intuition and expertise that they bring to bear. They have established a large, well equipped, cozy, warm, soothing place -- and focus continually on dogs' interactions, play and socialization, while providing options (both stay, play and sleepover) for dogs of all personality types and ages, those who like to be alone, with humans or with the pack. Later, we introduced our new and second dog Cookie to the mix. She also thrived there. Even more later, we worked with Leslie to re-home a third dog, our little Rosalita, who we essentially adopted. Yes, we have three dogs, and we consider Puppy Love family, as they do us. Cookie and Rosalita play there M, W and Friday and all three dogs groom with Puppy Love. We do long-term boarding often. We've introduced probably 6 friends and their dogs to Puppy Love -- 99% have had a great experience. You may hear periodically of folks where it has not been a fit. Something, Leslie is always happy to address through a mutual exchange of feedback. She and her team know all too well what the other options available in the area are like. Puppy Love is a wonderful combination of romping, safe play space, cozy quarters, naturally lit, staffed by people who love, know and understand dogs -- always ready to help and incorporate feedback. We expect to work with them for as long as we have fur babies in our family. Which, well, will be forever.

On October 1, 2025, Regina's Authentic Mexican Food Truck catered our 2025 Employee Appreciation Event at CW Bearing, and they absolutely exceeded expectations! The food was exceptional—so much so that employees were going back for seconds and even thirds. Days later, people are still raving about the delicious flavors, the friendly and pleasant staff, and the impressively efficient service.
The catering team brought not only amazing food but also a warm and welcoming energy that truly elevated our celebration.
We wholeheartedly recommend Regina's Authentic Mexican Food Truck for any event and look forward to the opportunity to work with them again in the future!

Had the peanut butter pie for dessert and that was good too. The place was clean and the service responsive. All-in-all I have nothing bad to say about this place and look forward to coming again.

The food is healthy and, for the most part, to my liking. I’m not a fan of microwaving meals and found the Hotlogic Mini Portable Electric Lunch Box Food Heater to be the perfect solution (don’t leave the food lid on while heating). I keep one at work and one at home—it keeps me out of the kitchen, which I truly appreciate.
While the meals are a bit pricey, they’ve saved me grocery trips, 4 hours of meal prep every Sunday, and throwing out wasted food.
Their standard plan was more food than I needed, so they customized it to once a week, which is perfect for me. I can also pause my plan whenever I choose to fast or cleanse.
Every transition has been easy and seamless. I’m genuinely thankful for them and the service they provide.

the hummingbird confetti sour was interesting - tastes like a cream soda almost. the one that impressed me most was mango hop ipa - this was so fruity and earthy.
i know to sucks to have to but i recommend replacing the holders for your flights (or extending the legs on them somehow) especially if you know they are precariously designed.
got a 4 pack to go. highly recommend.

23144 Woodward Ave, FerndaleThis was my second time at Toast. If you're in Birmingham this is a solid breakfast/brunch spot with a fun atmosphere. They get pretty crowded on weekends, but we were seated right away for our weekday brunch. The service was always great, and the waiters were very amicable. I really loved our waiters both times we were here. I got a strawberry cheesecake waffle today which was excellent. The cream cheese with the whipped cream, graham cracker dust, and fresh strawberries made for a very decadent breakfast meal that was surprisingly not as heavy as it looked, though I would not say it was light. I didn't use the syrup, but I could see how some people might want it for an extra dose of sugar. The waffles were nice and crisp, and I would definitely order this again if I'm in the mood for a sweet treat. Overall, this is a nice family friendly spot if you're in town!

The space is divided into 3 sections: the cafe, a central sitting room, and the room with the cats & toys. The cafe is relatively large, and they offered tea, coffee, and a small assortment of pastries. The central room smelled a bit, but it is near the kitty litter area and isn’t the room that visitors would stay in very long. The staff and volunteers were friendly and provided information about the cats’ temperaments (e.g., which cats were playful, which ones will scratch, the set of cats that were friendly but were perched up high to avoid interaction, etc.). Stayed for almost an hour to pet cats, play, and learn about their rescue process / the organization’s history.
