“Looking for We Are Nuts and found a second location which is an interestingly odd grocery store. They have the same nuts along with many grocery items at a reduced price. Deserves a look if you are in the neighborhood.”

“Went in for my first time. I've been living in St. Paul for the last 5 years. Every Asain food market I go to. EVERY SINGLE ONE. I find that prices go up when I reach the checkout and sometimes even mild disrespect. (I'm hispanic/white).However, when I went here. I was welcomed with a smile. Offered assistance. As well as the prices remained the same at the checkout as it was on the shelf. It was very warm and welcoming. Extremely reasonable prices and fantastic quality produce. Love this place!”

“This is definitely a neighborhood store. This winter my son was lost and it was -30 below 0 degrees outside and my son went to the corner store and they let him in to warm up and use their phone to call us(his phone had died due to the cold temps outside). If it hadn't been for them it might have been a different outcome. Thanks again guys!¡I highly recommend this store.”

“Wonderful tamales! And many different salsas. We ordered the tamales ahead and picked them up for a birthday party. They were a hit with meat eaters and non- and the 3 salsas we chose were varied and interesting. People were helpful and friendly. I look forward to returning and ordering from the lunch counter. Easy to find, and easy parking.”

“The Trader's Joe's are all about the same and that is a good thing. I've been discovering the breads which are the greatest, check out the large selection of chips and packaged leafy veggies. They sell bananas by the singles, which is different. This location has parking in front of the store and a ramp to the side, there is also a liquor store. I've never seen an indifferent or rude employee as everyone is friendly and smiley even if they have to pretend.”

“Came at the recommendation of someone for their meats. Great quality meats, produce, and lots of cheeses. Their bakery items were amazing and now know they make beautiful cakes, I wish I took photos. Everyone was super friendly and nice. Will be back!”

“I LOVE this little neighborhood store. Not only is it famous for its meat department but somehow they manage to stock all of the things you might need in your house. And the prices are really reasonable. Convenience store ease with big box prices. I don't know how they do it but I'm a huge fan!!”

“A cute co-op on Raymond. I popped in looking for a small piece of bread to have with some soup. I found a wonderful scone which was perfect for my soup. This co-op is a bit smaller than others I have been in, but has some great finds. There is a small hot bar, which many people were taking part in the day I happened to stop in. To be honest, if I didn't already have lunch, this would have been appealing. There is also a selection of regular grocery goods that I'm sure is nice for the neighborhood.”

“A lot bigger than the last time I ate there, like 10 to 15 years ago. Food and service were great, very friendly, clean, our order came pretty quickly, nice decorations, but it was a little loud or noisy. My boyfriend could hear me when I tried talking to him. Had to raise my voice so much that the entire restaurant definitely heard me. Cuz suddenly it went quiet, I never felt that many eyes on me in my entire life. Anxiety overload. My grandson was chilling and relaxed.”

“Nice neighborhood market that skews a bit more towards an upscale Bodega. Good for a quick trip when you just need a few items, but too pricey for a big grocery run.Happy to see some high quality local meats and baked goods. We're lucky to have this place just down the road from work because they carry a lot of nice prepared sandwiches for lunch.”

“I like this grocery store. It's got apartments above the store which is so cool. There's plenty of parking. Inside has the average products and produce any grocery store would have. I had to pay for plastic bags when checking out or at least it asked how many bags I would be paying for so I'm assuming that's what it was referring to.”

“If you want fresh, quality vegetables, this is the place to go! They specialize in Thai & Karen produce. Small store but excellent quality!! The employees are warm and friendly. Love this place!!!”

“Great authentic Thai deli that consists of mostly the same thing everyday. Has a variety of different types of food and cooking supplies. I've been coming to this store since 2012, only disappointment is the occasionally sold out hot fresh food but I'm sure it's just because others got to it before me.”

“Kowalski’s is a good enough grocery store. A bit overpriced and the staff working the checkout seem rather indifferent, but there’s a decent selection of food in each of the aisles and parking is okay so I guess that makes up for it.”

“For a small neighborhood, grocery store, where you don’t rely on it for your major grocery shopping, but need to stop in there 30 times a month to get essentials, this store is the bomb. They have a fairly robust adequate produce, meat, deli, frozen, and bakery section. I am honestly very glad that they are in the neighborhood because there are no major grocery stores close by and this place serves the community well and purposefully.”

“Excellent selection of hard to find produce and incredibly reasonable prices. Grocery items are a bit limited, but perfectly sufficient for most Hmong cooking. I know often Muslims (my family included) go to Asian markets to look for halal items from Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, etc. There isn't too much of that here aside from some instant noodles and condiment sauces. That being said, it's worth going just for the fruits and veggies. I went wearing a traditional thobe, and sometimes that can cause store employees and shoppers to give rude glares, but that wasn't the case here. Staff was respectable and shoppers were friendly. I would recommend this store to Muslims, as Hmong people use a lot of the same fresh produce we use for Desi, Arabic, African, and SE Asian food.”

“My favorite neighborhood grocery store! They have the greatest selection of non-dairy items of anywhere else in the Ciites. Staff is always kind and helpful. Major bonus points for the post office inside!”

“The NYT recently posted a Peruvian chicken recipe, and I found this nice store when I went looking for ingredients. The owner was so nice, gave me some great tips, and introduced me to a few things I had never used before. The dinner that I served was amazing, and I’m so glad to have found this great business!”

“Recently saw that they are now selling menthol cigarettes! Since St. Paul has banned gas stations from selling menthol cigarettes! Unless it has a separate tobacco store built in like the Holiday on Rice St & Pennsylvania Ave, or the BP on White Bear Ave & Suburban have both done.”

“It's nice to have a place that carries quality food in a bright environment in the neighborhood. The selection is not as broad as a box store, but most of what you could want is there, and it's clearly high quality. Some items are at an expected premium, but the prices are still fair, they have good sales and I found some specialty stuff, like obscure types of organic mushrooms, actually cheaper than other stores. The staff who helped me, specifically Michaela, were friendly, helpful and informative. They also have a clear dedication to being a helping partner in the community.”

“The only place I go get water. Is there such a thing as "best water in town" if not there should be. It's a nice hole in the wall mom and pops store.”

“A well-stocked store with probably everything needed for a fantastic Mexican dinner. It is jam packed with all things Mexican/Latino with excellent prices. Locally sourced, delicious tortillas for about 1/3 the price of those found in major grocery stores, if those stores even carry them. Very friendly staff, store located conveniently on a major street, worth the drive even if it might be a ways. Adjacent to a great Mexican panaderia (bakery).”

“Typically kind and efficient staff and I I just don't think I'll ever be able to say I didn't feel welcomed by the place ever. Never seems to mind helping me or being patient. Good selection of products and tobacco products too. Grill next door is great”

“Staff friendly and helpful. Shelves were well stocked which you don't always see in all stores. Parking right next to store and covered so will be easy once the snow arrives.”

“I feel like the people in this area are not good at getting a parking spot and getting out of one. But I like it here. The isle with home goods is my favorite place to shop. I can have a whole cart full and not a single grocery item! Lol♥️♥️”
