“APCO is the best place to get your equipment serviced for high end and out-of-country imports. Our company got a Unitec Eibenstock 2001P drill fixed which was not powering up. Troy was very helpful in quickly tearing down, assessing, fixing, and returning our drill from Las Vegas to Los Angeles, saving us the cost of a full replacement. Due to the difficulty of even finding parts for this brand most repair shops turned us away to even have our drill inspected. Troy offered a free upfront inspection over the phone, taking on the risk that the drill was beyond salvaging which fortunately it wasn't. I highly recommend him and the APCO North Las Vegas team.”
“This is a great store run by great people.I recently purchased a new lathe and sharpening system that had just gone on sale. When I was waiting for a salesperson the owner asked if I needed help and I told her I wanted to purchase the lathe and sharpener that had just gone on sale. She misunderstood and thought I had already purchased it and offered to refund me the difference between the new sales price and the regular price. That is what I call excellent customer service. She wanted to make sure I was a happy and satisfied customer to the point of refunding me some money!Also, the salesperson guided me through the entire purchase (a Powermatic midi lathe and Robert Sorby ProEdge sharpening system). He demoed the lathe and the sharpener, gave me some excellent tips, and made sure I had everything I needed. BTW, the lathe is absolutely everything he said it would be and more.And this is not a fluke. Every time I go in this store I get the same kind of service. “I started woodworking in Vegas so this is the first lumber yard that I've used. Given that, it's hard for me to judge how well they stack up to other yards so this review should be read with that in mind.I enjoy their selection of woods and finish options. I've never yet not been able to find the wood species that I was looking for. They have a small supply of exotic woods that I've dipped into on occasion for special projects; which is handy.Selecting wood is easy, as is loading into onto carts and getting it to your vehicle. They even offer to help with loading if you need it.The staff is friendly and helpful for the most part.My only beef is with pricing. I'm sure some of this is due to the spike in lumber prices during COVID but prices seem high. I'm also not happy with the way that they calculate BF for finished wood.They don't list their prices anywhere that I can find - not on the website, not on the bins. You have to ask someone up front. They give the price in boardfeet, which is fine. However, if you buy finished wood (S2S, etc.), the price they quote you is not the price you pay. They take the board feet and do some mathematical gymnastics to it (I think it's "divide by 0.9 and then multiple by 1.2" for S2S). It adds about 30% to the price.When I noticed that I was being charged for more BF than I had, I asked someone about this. They stated that they do that to account for the wood that is removed when it is finished and for the effort it takes to do the finishing. (Eventually. The first guy that tried to explain it was just spouting hot air that made no sense.)I don't know if this is standard when buying finished wood but it's misleading. First of all, the boardfeet of wood that shows up on the receipt is NOT the boardfeet of the wood that you take home. If you try to calculate how much wood you need and use the invoice to determine if you have enough, you're going to be surprised how short you are.Secondly, though, I see no reason to do this. If you are going to charge more for finished wood, that's fair, but don't quote me one price and charge me another. (And I don't really care if you inflate the boardfeet of the wood or the price per bf; it's the same thing.) Figure out what it is per boardfoot for finished wood and quote me that figure when I ask for a price for finished wood. Or at least tell me straight up that "this species is $x per BF plus 30% for finishing").At the very least, train your people so that they can explain what's going on. I almost walked out the first time a floor person tried to explain this to me. He spouted so much BS that I thought I was in a cow pasture.”

“Let me preface this by saying that I am a "city girl." I needed some straw for my feral cat bedding. Tracto Supply was recommended, and I made the trek across town. I was totally out of my element when I walked in the store. They had stuff that I have never seen before and I'm old!!With that said, a lovely associate asked me if I needed help. Oh, heck yes. Sheri Ann (?) was so darn helpful. She led me to the straw and explained the two different options for the bales of straw where I was able to get exactly what I needed. I told her that I'd never been in the store before and she made me feel welcome and did not judge me. She was awesome as she explained that the store really comes alive in March when all the new chicks, ducks and turkeys arrive. I could clearly see she enjoyed her job which was so refreshing to see.I checked out with a lady named Lorene who was just as hospitable and welcoming. It was a great experience, and I will be back when I need more equipment for my household animals. The prices are very competitive with the PetSmart and PetCo.Excellent customer service today by Sheri and Lorene!”
