“Updating my review 6 years after I originally posted it. I’m on my 3rd car with Vesa’s and I won’t go to any other shop in town. Everyone here is very knowledgeable and kind! They take their time to explain things when needed and they know how to work with a budget. I used to get my oil changed here but now that I have space to do it at home I’ve been doing it myself. They still treat me the same as always when I come in for work I can’t do at home. Really amazing folks here.”

“I’ve been to Morris auto twice for different things and I’ve been pleased both times. I appreciate their platform they use to approve the repairs and cost, and I respect the way they explain what the repair is. They educate you and do not push you to get repairs that are not urgent or immediately necessary. They are super friendly and accommodating and have completed work on my car the same day. If you ask for a quote, they provide one right away. I never thought I’d report that I like a mechanic shop, so this is your sign to pay them a visit!”

“I can’t say enough good things! I was quoted $2,600 for a whole new exhaust by my usual shop. I looked at reviews and saw that this shop had 4.9. I was honestly just shopping around to get a second opinion but they said they would take a look that same day. Tony had the car up on the lift and had me come with him and actually pointed out what my options were. The work was done in an hour and a half and cost $1,100!!! Not only that but every person, from the woman at the front desk to the guys servicing the vehicles were extremely nice. It felt very much like a family business. I will 💯 come here again for muffler and brake work.”

“Honorable mechanics—what I once thought was an oxymoron, has become truth in Dave and his partner. I had taken my Dodge Charger (that continued losing power while driving) to three (3) other mechanics, including two (2) dealerships, all of whom charged $250 for a 1hr diagnosis. $1k later, no one could figure it out nor did they wish to. Dave was kind, professional and honest. While the weeks rolled by that Dave had my car, he never wavered in his tone of politeness and professionalism in attempting to address the issue that he had never come across. My car had been out of commission for the majority of the summer and fall and Dave worked on my car’s mysterious symptoms between regular scheduled jobs he had in order to get me back on the road. Each week I called, he was honest in his report of what had been done and what continued to bewilder him. Nevertheless my car worked for that week, but it may be time for another and if my next car should have any trouble, I will be sure to bring it to D&B Auto as I appreciated the patience and care he gave myself and my vehicle.”

The communication between the Insurance Company claims and the rental car place was so good. I didn’t have to do much on my part. They took care of everything and did a fantastic job on my car! “Mavis is definitely my go to place when I have any issues with my vehicleThe management here is excellent. They answer all your questions. The workers do a great job on my vehicle every time Aaron, the manager on Lake and lyell ave that’s the place I go to The workers and management are always friendly and polite, and if the price is too high they try to work with you and give you as much as a discount as they can but they definitely make sure your car is safe when you leave them here whether or not it’s something that they can’t fix here but they tell you you need to get this fixed So your vehicle will be safe. They pretty much overall are able to do a lot of different things and work on your vehicle but overall they definitely always recommend if you need something else done or definitely make sure your vehicle is safe for you. I always get excellent service.”
“I have been going to Dennis for about 5 -6 years now!!! I won’t go anywhere else if he can repair it. He does an amazing job & gives me advice right over the phone if I call concerned over something: even a light on my dash, tire pressure.. he’s walked me threw the buttons on my wheel; as I’m not that smart when it comes to cars, lol. I called & asked if I could come by after class one day so he or his guys could look at my tires bc the light kept coming on & I had already put air in 3 times within 4 days. He said come right over. I went after class & he was able to tell me what was wrong & fix it right there. Some days they can’t fix my car same day bc of parts or whatever (understandable!!)! But this business is truly one of a kind & I highly recommend it! He does what’s right & doesn’t charge out the butt for things that most repair shops will just bc “we don’t know any different & just want a safe vehicle” as a woman with kids. He knows I’m a single mom of 3 & I believe he does his best to help me when I need it. I don’t have anyone or family who can advise of car stuff other than Dennis & I really appreciate him, his guys & his business! Thank you Dennis & all your staff !!!!!!!!!!!!!🙂”

The technicians that work are really kind and very transparent about the repairs that need to be done and they also have a website where they’ll send you the quote of repairs and also send photos of if there’s any issues with the vehicle itself. “What a great shop!I had brought my daughter's car to another mechanic that informed me that the transmission is shot and would be around $4K to put in a used transmission. Yet, there were no codes. Something wasn't right. Everything was pointing me to bad catalytic converters, but they disagreed.I did some searches for independent shops that specialize in Subarus. Turning Leaf looked promising.I was right in my choice and diagnosis. The car was only there an hour and it was 100% clogged cats.Turning Leaf saved her thousands in work that wouldn't have fixed the car through diagnosis, not guesses and throwing parts at it.If she ever needs more work, it's going back there!”
“I've been going here for a couple of years now for various repairs (new brakes, shocks, lower control arms, etc.) and I'm always impressed not only with how fast they diagnosis and the quality of their work, but also the price (such as when they replaced my front brakes for less than I paid 5 years ago!). I've even dropped my car off after hours and had a phone call by 8:30 AM the next day with a diagnosis and price, and got my car back around noon. Well worth it!”
