“I got my walking shoes from here. What wonderful associates they have! From the moment you walk in, to the moment you walk out, they are very nice and accommodating. They are very knowledgeable. They let me try on multiple pairs of shoes and had me walk around in them to make sure I chose the perfect one for myself. They weren’t pushy, didn’t rush me, and were very patient. I probably tried on at least 6 pairs of shoes. They, too, want you to find your perfect pair. I definitely will be coming back! Thank you so much!”
“I went in yesterday for some shoes. I had never been to a fleet feet and decided to give it a visit. Unfortunately the day got away from me and I arrived in the last hour the shop was open. I was greeted and Jordan came over to assist. He did a fantastic job explaining how their tech worked to show exactly what you need. He brought several pairs of shoes out for me to try and explained the technology that each brand uses in their shoe. I felt comfortable, welcomed, and not rushed or pushed to make a decision at all. I was able to take my time and really get a feel for each shoe. I will definitely be going back every time I need a new pair of shoes.”

“My kids love this place. Very clean facilities with monotone but friendly staff. Biggest issue is there are not enough pitch machine cages, I'd love to see an expansion of a few more. Not really a system in waiting for your turn to hit its just your on your own. Most of the time people work together, but every now and then its a many years removed from his glory days softballer taking 10 rounds in a row while kids are waiting.”

“So far, not good at all. Placed order on 8/16. I received a confirmation and an order number. That was it for over two weeks. I reached out and was asked for grace due to Labor Day Holiday. Here we are 2/3 through the business day and.... nothing. Tried calling, went to VM. Message left. Waiting on response via phone or email until 5 pm today and after then I will be entering a fraud claim with my card issuer. At this point I just want the truth, which is more than what I feel I am getting at this point.
I received the order on the next day after this post. Great job of addressing the problem, but not a good job of communicating on the front end.”

“Highly impressed, I went in looking for a pair of shoes that my father n law had. I tried on a pair of 13 they felt ok so o paid for them and left. While out running errands they began hurting my feet, I called the store and they ordered me a pair of 13 wides in 2 different colors so I could choose the pair I liked best. The triple blacks came in first so I went to try them on. They felt good in the store so we did the exchange and I left. Again while out running errands they began to hurt my feet so I went back to the store and the store manager ordered me the 860’s I always wear and had them shipped directly to my house. If you are looking for shoes you need to check them out.”
“I have been into WRV multiple times to accompany my partner when he is buying surf boards or skateboards. Generally the atmosphere is pretty chill, but the gentleman who primarily works by the skateboards seems to have wildly different levels of customer service depending on the day. It is uncomfortable and hard to know what kind of mood he is going to be and how it will impact your time there. I try not to hold it against the business but most recently we went in to purchase a few things and his poor attitude made us not even want to spend money here so we left. What was a fun trip to pick up some skate accessories was tainted by his grown man angst.”

“I am a regular at REI and I'm shop there a lot but I'm not a member. I spent a few grand gearing up for ultralight hiking lately and one of the items I bought early on was a Kelty Sleeping Bag from the Virginia Beach REI. By the time I got everything ready and went camping a few weeks had passed by and I noticed the Kelty Sleeping Bag had a baffle that was entirely devoid of Down. It was just never filled. Anyway, since I misplaced the receipt, neither REI nor Kelty cared, not even a little bit, even though the bag came with a supposed lifetime guarantee. I guess it's only really guaranteed for as long as the receipt lasts...so you're not banking on the quality of the sleeping bag but on the quality of the receipt's printer ink. I feel taken advantage of...
Update: I've just got the rei 50 liter ul bag yesterday .I've got 3 trail miles on it so far and it was great... however when I went to cinch up the front pocket the cord came out and I had to spent an hour fishing it back in with a guitar string. So watch the initial quality if you get one. If I was stronger I'd just keep the heavier nemo bag

“I love coming here to find gifts for others and items for myself. They have discounted prices and occasionally run "additional percentage off" sales. If you are looking for the best deals you will have to hunt and search for them. My tips are to buy items that are off season (i.e. bathing suits in the winter and coats in the summer). They also have signs posted around the store advertising a scanner that you can pull up on your phone's website browser to price check items. I've use it multiple times and it is very helpful! The items don't always scan but in that case you can check with an employee for price questions. There are only a few fitting rooms to try on clothes and they can get very cluttered. The times that I have visited I haven't noticed much staff on the sales floor. They are either at the front checkout or in the back receiving/organizing inventory. The types of items they sell include shoes like running shoes, casual sneakers and sandals, and sports cleats. Clothing wise they have activewear, coats/jackets like heavy winter wear, swimwear, kids clothing, golf attire. Keep in mind that these are leftover excess items from the main store that haven't sold or are being phased out but you can still find great quality items. They also sell accessories like outdoor items, drinkwear, socks, hats, gloves, workout pieces, etc. The parking lot is big and easy to maneuver in and out from located on Lynnhaven parkway. Shopping carts are available and they do have public restrooms. Overall this is definitely a place I would recommend to checkout and see if you can find any good deals.”
“I visited the store to exchange some Sambas purchased online to attend some festivities in the area. Primarily for fashion/style purposes. This location didn't sell the style and the two employees-one is AA had a blonde wig and the other Ryan were helpful. I spent a lot of time contemplating and they were consistent in their service. I left and returned and Ryan assisted me again through conversation, ideas, recommendations and style we thought would be cute options. She brought out shoes and she again never changed her demeanor or attitude, even in my indecisiveness. I didn't buy anything after all that because we agreed what I planned was a viable option. Obviously the company is in business to sell merchandise but to experience this level of service without pressure or attitude, will definitely keep potential buyers happy and repeaters to the store.
