“Using a government office can by trying... but Tyron called me after 6 PM from his own cellphone to help me. Said he wanted to treat me "like family." Solved my problem through speaking and texting. Only gave it 4 stars because you can't get through on the phone directly to the post office. Need to go through the 800 number and have them call you back. Thanks, Tyron!!!”

“Been bringing my business’ packages here for almost a year now and have consistently received the kindest and most professional service one could hope for. Very nice and patient people working here. I know post office retail work can be brutal so these people really deserve an award of some kind”

“People makes all the difference! Sonja is absolutely a jewel and angel and incredible human! Everyone loves her, she made everyone smile during long waiting lines, I visited the office 2 times, and both were best experience ever in a post office!”

“Today I had a simply phenomenal experience at the post office. I'd never sent a piece of certified mail and the gentlemen with the beard who helped me was beyond kind and understanding. If you need to visit USPS, I highly recommend this location!”

“Absolutely amazing customer service and a really charming location/building. It has a small town vibe and the people are so kind and efficient. This is my favorite post office in Seattle.”

“I’ve never written a review but Steve at the passport office deserves it! 10/10 he was very efficient, fast, straight to the point and kind! Walk ins are 8:00am-9:00am however he was still accepting walk ins, fitting them in-between his scheduled appointments. Professional, organized and clear. He got the application done in less than 10 min. It was a great experience with him!”

“Neat old building in downtown Seattle's historic Pioneer Square District. This building has a "hollow center" in that every floor is visible from the center area: Look up from any floor to see the sky/skylights above. Also, check out lots of wood construction, an antique elevator, and interesting tenants throughout.”

“Miele? Mele? I’m not positive on the spelling of the postal clerk that holds it down at the Pioneer Square USPS location, but she’s solid GOLD! That location can be sketchy at times to navigate, but I go here because I love interacting with her! She’s SO friendly, upbeat, personable, helpful and inviting. She brings a little bit of home into her space and makes her customers feel like family. I cannot say enough wonderful things about her! Such a smart hire!* Note: This is a small location with one person working. They close for lunch break from 2-3:15”

“Staff and services at this post office are awesome.Mr. Lee helped me with a complicated international mail delivery that required a self-registered exp…….. etc etc. He patiently explained the process and helped me choose the best option.Thank you Mr. Lee and Team!”

“This was my first time using the service here. I was aware of the previous reviews and didn’t want to expect much. Unexpectedly, I was so impressed with the whole experience. The building was so charming from the outside, many parking spots, clean and tidy from the inside. The clerk, no. 3, the gentleman who was very friendly, kind and helpful. Since it’s getting close to Christmas, he made sure I’m aware when the packages would be arriving at the destinations. I couldn’t ask for the better service. I brought my 2 kids with me. I believe it will be their first memorable experience of the post office and they won’t feel intimidate to go to use the services in the future.”

“I’ve stood in line here. The amount of customers who act entitled is staggering. They wait in line for tens of minutes and have no clue what service they want. These people are clueless and then have the gall to hold everyone else hostage to their ignorant nonsense”

“I'm surprised I'm going to say this but this is my favorite USPS location. They are always really nice and helpful. Luckily I live close and will be sad when I move, I have been to other locations while running errands and this is by far the best. This includes the ones I visited when I lived in GA.”

“Super nice lady and very nice location, especially compared to the other one in downtown that even feels a bit unsafe, this one is kind of hidden an office building. It took me a moment to find it, it is next to the fitness club on the 3rd avenue lobby.”

“Whenever I had to visit their employees were friendly and efficient, not sure why they get so much hate. Just make sure you go during working hours - which are limited and inconvenient tbh hence minus one star.”

“I use this post office quite often and the service is friendly and reliable. It does get quite busy during peak hours, but that’s to be expected. During off hours times, you can be in and out super quickly. The staff is great.”

“I went in the other day to mail 100 media mail items, thinking I could do so on the self-serve machine. I double checked with the woman behind the counter, and she said that unfortunately media mail packages couldn’t be processed with self-serve. She then patiently attended to my 100 envelopes by hand, typing in addresses, confirming destinations and applying labels. It took a long time, and she was really kind. Luckily, the post office had staffed two other attendants who handled the rest of the line, so no one had to wait to long to be helped.I grew up coming to this post office, and now back home, I’m happy to see that it’s the same kind and helpful service. Yes, sometimes it’s busy during holidays, but I’ve always experienced a lot of care here over the decades at this USPS location.”

“Very friendly and helpful staff! I drop off lots of packages a week and they have never been delayed. Thank you all! (Many of these bad reviews are just blaming the nice folks here for things totally out of their control.)”

“These folks here have helped me multiple times and are great at the service they provide. The reviews do not show how hard they work and how much they deal with each day. They may not be the warmest face but the service is great and they're nice.”

“Seth was a wonderful supervisor to deal with when I needed a phone number and some help reviewing a claim. Thanks Seth, unlike his fellow supervisor the day before he was actually helpful, patient and understanding.”

“This USPS Post Office has long been a staple of the corner of 3rd Avenue and Union Street. The clerks do their best (for the most part) and they don't need to hear that your day is ruined because you had to wait a few minutes to get called up. They give you an avenue to complain if you insist: the QR code on your receipt bottom directs you to an online survey. They all get read.”

“My wife and I had a pleasant experience at this USPS location. The ladies working behind the counter were friendly and helpful. We would highly recommend this location to anyone who wants good service!”

“It's centrally located in the U District so it's very convenient & they have a self checkout kiosk at the entrance (no QR code ?) They can be really busy but the wait isn't too bad.. ooh(!) They are really strict about the tape you use don't use priority tape if it's not a priority package & they don't have tape to use (unless you're priority..)”

“Picked up mail which was in HOLD state for quite sometime and shipped a package. Gentlemen was quick and nice. Seems their tech is upgraded and accept all payment types compared to my last year visit.”

2.3 Poor67 Reviews

“I had a bad experience trying to get my fingerprints scanned at another USPS so I decided to try this location. James was super patient, explained everything clearly, and we were able to get the scans. Thank you James!”

“5/5 for Boon’s friendliness and helpfulness when my fiancé and I asked about different shipping options and delivery times. The line before 4 pm on a Friday wasn’t too long. I’d come back to this post office, which is rare for me to say about any post office.”

2.2 Poor66 Reviews

“Oh man, based on some of the grief here, I was scared I was never going to track down a *very* precious missing package, but not only did I get a personal phone call AFTER OFFICE HOURS just a few hours after filing a missing package report with USPS, when that lead to a dead end, I caught the extremely awesome carrier on this route and he helped me find it even though it had been three days since it was misdirected! (Due to a mistake on the address line, not USPS.) Really grateful for the help from the helpful folks in 98115 North Seattle!”
