1700 NE 44th St, RentonWe had reached out to Eastside Veterinary Associates hoping that they may have an adoptable kitten needing to be rescued at some point, as we were looking for a good pet for our young kids. In no time, I was driving to Renton to come and meet a young tabby cat that had been brought in. Dr. Beckham was there to help us through what was an absolutely seamless process after we’d fallen in love with this kitten, and that afternoon we were leaving with our newest family addition.
The entire staff from the adoptions reception to adoptions to Dr Beckham were truly lovely and unbelievably helpful. We will never go anywhere else.

4501 NE 4th St B, RentonWe cannot say enough good things about this veterinary clinic and their entire team. They took exceptional care of our sweet girl after she tore her ACL and needed TPLO/TTA surgery.
From the very beginning, we felt informed, supported, and genuinely cared for. Nurse Nina went above and beyond and surprised us with the sweetest custom bandage, which honestly meant more to us than she probably realized. The entire team came out to greet our girl, showered her with love, and made sure we left feeling confident about her recovery plan.
For anyone preparing for this surgery: they walked us through the healing process clearly and realistically—strict rest at first, gradual leash walks, pain management, and what signs to watch for during recovery. Knowing what was normal (swelling, slower movement early on, probably won’t eat or potty for the first 24 hours, gradual improvement week by week) helped ease so much anxiety. They were always available to answer questions and never made us feel silly for checking in.
On top of all that, their pricing was significantly more affordable—about half the cost of BluePearl and Bellevue Veterinary and they accept CareCredit.
If your dog needs orthopedic surgery and you’re scared, overwhelmed, or unsure where to go: this is the place. Compassionate, thorough, skilled, and truly invested in both pets and their people. We’re incredibly grateful and couldn’t be happier with our experience!!

900 S Grady Way, RentonI am updating my review a year later because I just have to share that I would give this place 100 stars if I could. Our pup got sick during our recent vacation and the staff at this location was so thoughtful and thorough. Each time she had a vomiting incident they immediately took her temperature, checked her gums and belly, and sent us a picture with detailed information about what happened and discussed their care plan with us. They adjusted her activities and diet to be sensitive to her needs and went above and beyond to care for our girl, without charging us an extra dime. The manager even stayed late to meet us when we flew home early to talk through what had happened and recommendations for continued care, and also requested info from our vet in the future so they can keep their records up to date. It was such an immense relief to know our girl was in their care while we were so far away. Do not hesitate to trust your beloved pet family members with the staff here, they are exceptional!
Previous Review: I cannot say enough good things about Rainier Dog Resort & Spa. We just picked our dog up from her evaluation appointment and have had an absolutely perfect experience. We’ve had a negative boarding experience in the past so wanted to do an eval with a new place before planning a trip and I am so grateful we found this place. The photos they share throughout the day put your mind at ease, their set up and schedule is thoughtful and focused on dog well-being and needs, and they think of every little detail. Our dog is basically our kiddo and I feel so much relief to have found such an amazing team of people who really love dogs and treated our pup with such care! It was so great we’re considering taking our pup in for daycare in addition to boarding because of their awesome group play and enrichment programs. I’d give them 10 stars if I could!

It is nice having someone you don’t ever have to worry about in your home. My pup gets regular walks, has stayed at her home while I’ve traveled, and she’s helped me out at times of crisis. In fact my pup had a seizure and I was SO glad it was while in Elizabeth’s care as she knew exactly what to do. FABULOUS person to boot!

5301 NE 4th St, RentonI absolutely love their decaf mocha, both hot and iced -- which is no small accomplishment because it's hard to get good decaf. And not only is the coffee delicious, the peoole are friendly. I only wish it wasn't a drive-thru, because if they had outdoor seating I would be able to sit and drink it there. I come here every Thanksgiving week when I visit from NYC.

229 Wells Ave S, RentonBest brewery I’ve been to in Renton. I got to talk with the owner/brewmaster Ross. I was very impressed at how much they’re able to produce within such a compact space.
He gave me a tour just cause I asked if he ever gave them. His concept of creating modern German beers with different regional flavors is amazing! And their recipes are spot on! If you’re looking for a legitimate Bier Gärten this is the closest you’re going to get to being in Germany yourself, so if you don’t feel like flying to Munich, definely stop by here for something truly special!

My cousin got a mango peach soft serve and it was ALSO SO YUMMY. It’s very creamy and smooth. My other cousin got a matcha swirl and that was nice as well but I enjoyed the more intricate flavors more. Overall I can’t wait to go again. So unique and worth the trip. They also sell doggie treats on the side and mug plus pens. All very cute and come support this beautiful business. ??

Sammamish Animal Sanctuary
16515 SE May Valley Rd, RentonThis Sanctuary is in my neighborhood but I didn't make the chance to go there until yesterday. It was a delightful experience. It's really fun to feed some of the animals (they sell food buckets there for $5/bucket; no outside food is allowed) & I appreciate how well the staff know the personalities of animals so their well-being comes first. This is not a petting zoo, but a Sanctuary for farm animals, and I really appreciate that. I will continue to support this beautiful refuge and I humbly request that you do so too, because they manage their operations by donations.
