I was able to find “Canine Caviar” brand water buffalo protein kibble 22lbs and other treats/chews from the same brand including water buffalo toothpicks, tails, and even air dried water buffalo heart! Extremely reasonable pricing too (much better than online retailers)! In the freezer section I was able to find frozen beef pancreas in 2 lbs packages! Planning on adding 1-2 oz to my pup’s meals instead of digestive enzymes! Call ahead to check if they have the brands/proteins/size products that you’re looking for and they can hold it for you!

Hayes Feed & Country Store
908 SW 152nd St, BurienMy friend gifted me a bird feeder however I’m completely ignorant about this topic. I came to the store to get the feed(?) for the birds, but I didn’t want to get a big batch just in case I didn’t like to have birds on my patio.
The gentlemen managed the store was super patient with me and when he learned that I was just looking for a small bag to try first, he graciously made a mix for me and offered it to me to try for free.
I’m so grateful for his patience and generosity, and I definitely will come back! This is what your neighborhood store should be like. ❤

249 Southwest 153rd Street, BurienI needed a new groomer in the Burien area for my Corgi-Poo and Golden Retriever, and I’m so glad I found Angie! She was super responsive to my questions and was able to get both of my dogs scheduled within the week.
She was quick, and the doggos look SO great! My Golden had never been groomed before and was pretty crazy, but Angie handled her so calmly and was incredibly sweet and patient with her.
Overall, 10/10 experience!! I will definitely be back!

641 Southwest 153rd Street, BurienI have been to a lot of groomers with my girl, I've tried doing it myself (I think I have the most patient poodle in the world) and I've finally found the perfect groomer.
Jessica didn't resist my request to not go with a completely shaved face, as is the norm for poodles, she even suggested the length. She understood that completely shaved feet weren't comfortable for my girl. The first grooming was so nice, instructions followed, all the things handled that are part of a full grooming, IYKYK, and a dog that was happy when picked up, not stressed.
The second grooming was the same, the 3rd, I kinda loved the surprise from Jessica when I asked for a Miami. Face still not shaved clean, toes done to perfection, and the compliments we get on how poodley she looks are plentiful.
Olivia will be groomed at The Painted Pooch from now on.

17694 1st Avenue South Unit a, BurienThis is the first groomer that my dog actually runs up to greet when he comes in the building instead of trying to run back to the car.
I always request Kit Graves and as they do such an excellent job! I dabble in conformation shows and this is where I take him for his pre-show groom as my specific instructions are always followed, and he's groomed to the breed standard. He's a large double coated dog and Kit knows how to handle all that fluff.
My only gripe is that tooth brushing is an add-on, but that hasn't stopped me from coming here. Be sure to ask for toothbrushing as it's not a part of the default grooming package.

14628 Ambaum Boulevard Southwest, BurienBurien Veterinary Hospital has always done a great job taking care of my dogs. Their vets are compassionate and the front desk staff is absolutely wonderful. They always seem to be able to make space to fit one of my dogs in if something is just not right. I started going there because that’s where dogs are foster are seen and now all of my personal dogs have been moved to this practice as well. I could not recommend them more highly.

They’re communicative, accommodating and took great care of our two dogs - jelly and Luna.
One of the only places, that was able to accept our dogs without a trial because we were travelling from out of town. Our dogs are nervous around other dogs, but they took great care of them. We were happy to see our dogs in large outdoor fenced places comfortable around other pups.
I highly recommend them!

We never worry about her safety, care and entertainment when we hand her off for overnight stays.

423 SW 152nd St, BurienCozy coffee shop in downtown Burien. I recommend visiting if you are in the area or looking for something to do. When we arrived on a Saturday around 10am, the line was out the door, so be prepared for a bit of a wait. With that said, staff was plenty friendly and the coffee was good. We visited in November of 2025 and they were serving Olympia Coffee beans in their espresso. Great coffee, but we drove from Thurston county, so we could have found it closer I suppose.
Again, recommended visit. 4.5 stars.

Their vanilla gelatina is sooo good. You could also buy goodies and food from Oaxaca. I’m from Oaxaca and I’m so happy they exist. An amazing place!!

Everything we ordered was delicious. They make everything fresh when you order it. So it takes a couple minutes, but it's worth every second. The tortilla chips were so warm, so fresh and so delicious. And I have to say, it was the best tamale i've ever had. Add the drinks were absolutely delicious. Like I said, this is our new favorite place. ❤️

909 Southwest 151st Street, BurienI want to say thank you to burien cares for their kindness and support. On August 31st I had an incident take place and in the process my dog was killed and run over while we were on a walk home. But one thing that I wasn't expecting was the support and someone presenting me with my dogs ashes. Nala was a very good dog and loyal . She was my side by side walk buddy.. We spent plenty of time together I had her since she was 7 weeks old all the way up to 13 months..... Before this incident. The staff at burien cares was very nice and welcoming to me I appreciated the fact that they allowed me to come and get her ashes . For some people our pets become a part of our families and it's a process to raise a puppy and also to protect them. In the end it was my dog who protected me. I'm going to miss her I feel a lot of mixed emotions right now as I write this but when I think back on the good times we had she was very good. Pitbulls are very smart dogs they just get a bad reputation when it's how you raise your puppy and spend time with them that's sets the outcome ..... I hope that this animal shelter will continue to receive support and keep their doors open they do a lot in the community as I am learning thank you guys for your kindness I appreciate it sincerely Tony Brooks Jr thank you
