“I tried shopping at the mega-sized home improvement store, but got eye rolls as if I was just another DIYer and told to try Hobby Lobby. I instead tried out Paul’s Ace, and not only did they have the specialty wall glaze I was looking for, they were interested in how I was using it and helped me find the proper tools for the job. Reminded me of the local hardware store in the town I grew up in. Customer service the way it should be. Well done 👏”

“The staff rarely know where certain items are or what they carry, and they do not know muchabout botany or plant selection. The store carries mostly things grown in California that do not do well here. There is an extreme lack of native Arizona plants such as desert lavender ,creosote ,jojoba ,chuparosa ,and Greg's Blue Mist butterfly bush. But there are the regular annuals like petunias and vinca ,and they always have quite a large selection of hhalf-priceplants that are struggling in the back on some shelves ,and you can get some really good deals there. There is n'ta blargeselection of fountains. There are no tall blue ceramic pots, but there are many other pots.”

“They have an accessible open area in the back where there is parking and you can come directly into their woodwork space- and that makes it easy to load the wood to your vehicle too. There's also parking up front. It's a really nice store as they have a materials and tools section at the front which is air conditioned. Huge selection too btw. And then in the back that's where they have the woodworking area where you can select wood and get it custom-sized. For my small orders, I was able to get it within 15 minutes or less. There's a huge variety of wood types and every time I've been in, the employees have been very knowledgeable and helpful.”
