Pet Grooming
Happy Tails Pet Salon
2013 San Elijo Ave, CardiffThey are great! They take excellent care of my elderly bichon poo and schnauzer. Very fair and reasonable pricing for what they do. High quality cuts. I am happy to pay it and a tip. Both of my dogs are on the higher maintenance side with age and some anxiety. Go to Happy Tails. They are very popular and busy so be patient if it takes time to schedule. Do not go to the other groomer just a few yards away in the same center. They cut my Schnauzer's neck really badly and tried to blame it on something else.

Pet Sitting & Training
Dog Busters San Diego
2261 Edinburg Ave, CardiffTo put it simply, Cara changed our lives and helped with something we thought was impossible ? We were completely unprepared bringing home our newborn baby in July to meet our high energy 5 year old bulldog, kenobi. He didn’t adjust well to the baby, and we spent the first two weeks of her life with me upstairs and my husband downstairs with the dog. Every attempt at introducing him to our baby failed and got increasingly worse. We had no other choice than to seek a trainer.Cara immediately identified his food was a contributing issue to his temperament. Within 2 training sessions, we were able to live harmoniously with the baby and kenobi, while spending the rest of our training sessions working on basic obedience. She not only gave us the tools on correcting his behavior, she really explained WHY we use those tools so we could apply them correctly.Kenobi only left the house to go to the vet or to be boarded because he was uncontrollable on a leash. Cara not only taught us how to manage him with a prong collar and leash, the last training session was spent at a park to help our anxiety with having him out of the house. He is now THRIVING and going on 1-2 mile walks daily.Everyone who has encountered Kenobi has noticed the change, and we couldn’t be more thankful for her help.Editing to add a pictures of Kenobi coexisting with his little human ♥️

VG Donut & Bakery
106 Aberdeen Dr, CardiffThis is one of my happy places. Its by the beach and there's a thriftstore in the same little strip mall. The donuts are super as evidenced by the constant foot traffic and cars coming and going Its got a great vibe. My favorite is the orange glazed. They're all really good. They have more than donuts too. Enjoy!

East Coast Pizza
2015 San Elijo Ave, CardiffThis is a nice place to grab a bite when chilling in the square. We snagged a slice and a salad from here which chilling at the brewery next door and it was the perfect combo. I may have accidentally dropped my slice on the floor as soon as I stepped outside which they replaced for free. The least I could do was give them a shoutout. The small salad was huge by the way. They hook it up! They also sell soft serve ice cream here which was a huge hit with the kids. This is a quick and convenient place to eat while hanging out.Vegetarian options: The salads are huge here. Also who doesn't love pizza.Kid-friendliness: There were plenty of kids at the restaurant and eating pizza and ice cream in the quad outside. It is a great place for families.

Waverly
2005 San Elijo Ave, CardiffCame here for a quick snack and drinks with the girls. Vibes are immaculate and the brussels sprouts were life changing. I promise they're way more appetizing than they look. We also tried the potato appetizer, which I would pass on. Still would recommend coming here though!

The Shanty
126 Chesterfield Dr, CardiffSat outside. Dog friendly. Nice turf for my pooch to lay on. Wine list is limited but the red blend was decent for the price. Bouncers did good job on carding, some people in another group had to leave bc they didn't bring their ID. Cool hip vibe near the campground. Easy walk and nice place to hang outside with heaters. Service outside was prompt as soon as I sat down.
