Alcala Country Pet Resort
1273 Crest Drive, EncinitasAlcala is our favorite place to take our dogs for boarding or daycare. It is extremely nice exceptionally well cared for and very well managed. I really like the arrangement that they have that gives the dogs some rest time on their own and then also periods of supervised play time in open well maintained yards. It is also one of the few places that accepts and manages non-neutered/spade canines as well.

90 North Coast Hwy 101 Ste 210, Encinitas5 stars everyday! My dog Ryder is a standard Bernedoodle and does not have the easiest coat to work with. However, every time he and I have the BEST experience. This team is truly amazing, I trust them fully with him. I don’t even have to tell them what I want, they just know. I can tell they genuinely care about their animals and take the time to make them feel loved and comfortable.
Happy Tails also has an open floor for the dogs to hangout and play in which makes Ryder feel much more comfortable than being locked up in a kennel like other places. I also am able to view him the whole time when I visit which makes me feel comfortable not having him behind closed doors like other groomers.
I’ve referred many friends here and everyone has a fantastic experience. Debbie is especially so patient and kind to us!
If you live in Encinitas and are not getting your dog groomed here then idk what you’re doing!!

Because he's older, he can't stand for long periods of time during a grooming. They let me know that he could sit all that he wanted there and that they work with a lot of elderly dogs. When I picked him up he smelled like HEAVEN! He was so soft, well taken care of, and it just made me feel so good to have my dog tended to for a reasonable cost. Thank you for taking care of True for us. I really appreciate it and appreciate a loving and well run business!

We love all of the doctors and friendly staff there but we have a particular affinity for Dr. Christopher Clark who has treated our dogs over past years as well as now. Hashi and Ruby seem to agree as tails keep wagging whether we’re coming or going!

2159 San Elijo Avenue, CardiffWe chose Cardiff Animal Hospital to do 2 TPLO surgeries on our husky, Luna. The surgeries were done 1 month apart. Their pricing is one of the lowest ones we could find. It includes all post op appointments, check up x ray, laser therapy.
We are very satisfied with our experience! The women who work there are compassionate, caring and eager to answer any questions you may have. From the signs saying “Welcome Luna” in the exam rooms, to vet techs sitting on the floor hanging out with Luna while talking to us, they really go above and beyond. I would even receive text messages a few days after appointments from the hospital checking in about how Luna is doing.
Thanks to them, she is having an amazing recovery and soon she will be back to herself and full activity.

On her last day X-rays showed her entire cavity filled with fluid and that was time. Coco refused to go down without a fight - her will to be loved and to live was strong but her ailing condition was inevitable Thanks for your care and the many times you work so hard to support slotting me in, even answering my calls before the office day started Bless all of you and families

The older dogs get companionship and rest in they’re section. I’m not sure how many areas they have but dogs get put with others of their size and activity level. My 55 pound pup comes home worn out and happy. My 11 yo comes home happy.

Lance ensures everyone has documentation of flee& tick treatment prior to arriving. He also makes sure cats have their rabies shots. I highly recommend leaving your cats at Cat Villa when you travel.

We were struggling to understand why our dog Lola was barking and lunging toward our toddler when she wasn’t even close to her, and how to help everyone feel safe, and other challenging behaviors.
Sarah helped me understand why Lola acts the way she does, how to help her feel calmer, and what I can practice as her owner to help change those behaviors over time. She listened to all my questions and gave us practical guidance for everyday life. She also said she’ll send notes to recap everything to help us remember what to practice.
I felt very supported and much more confident about helping Lola and our family. I’m so grateful we found Sarah and highly recommend her! 💜

Encinitas Boulevard, EncinitasI would highly recommend Zack and Yumi as cat sitters. During the past few years, they looked after my two kitties many times when I traveled. My cats have dietary and medical issues and Zack and Yumi were very responsive to their special needs. They kept me updated during my trips and sent photos of the cats every day. I would always come back home to two happy cats, a clean litter box, and a house free of the inevitable trails of litter, meaning they weren’t just careful with my pets but also respectful of my house. On one trip they also successfully took care of an invasion of ants that had found the cats’ food bowls. I recently moved out of the Encinitas area and I very much miss having them as pet sitters. I would hire them again in a heartbeat if I could.

We have training goals for our dog and Kristen is AMAZING and he loves her! She will be a part of his life moving forward. We have been clients for years at the Encinitas location with boarding and grooming for all our digs it’s a top notch program with an excellent staff. Our dogs are family and we left them for two weeks to go on vacation and we boarded them and we received pictures and report cards throughout our trip that made us confident that they were cared for and having fun!! They are the best!!

UPDATE: I called Sugar Bear Sweet Provisions a few days before my sister-in-law’s birthday party because I was trying to be the hero of the party…and honestly, I just needed to get back in my family’s good graces.
They were backordered for quite a while, but I explained the seriousness of the situation: I needed a cake, my reputation was on the line, and I needed it FAST.
Somehow, they made it happen on short notice, and I couldn’t be more grateful. The cake was a hit, my family loves me again, and I owe it all to Sugar Bear Sweet Provisions.
The crew here is always super nice and friendly, and I’m just glad they continue to treat me like their favorite customer. I’m assuming I’m their favorite customer. Nobody has officially confirmed it, but I can tell.
Thank you to the whole team for coming through and saving my family reputation once again!
I can’t say enough good things about SugarBears Sweet Provisions! I had an early morning cupcake emergency for a client because I was dropping off a car at the airport for them through my company, We Truk, and I wanted to surprise them by leaving the cupcakes in the car for when they arrived. I found myself driving by the store at 7 AM, and they weren’t supposed to open until 9 AM. But when I knocked on the door, the lady inside saw the urgency in my situation and graciously opened up early for me.
Not only was she extremely nice and personable, but the entire staff was also incredibly accommodating.
The cupcakes? Absolutely divine. My client was thrilled, and I got to play the hero. Thank you, SugarBears, for saving the day and for your wonderful hospitality. I might just show up early again next time!

The #1 burrito was fantastic and huge. No cheap fillers. Delicious eggs, sausage, avocado. I took half home for the next day. Kids loved the French toast and pancake combos. They also enjoyed the fruit smoothies.
Overall it felt like good value for the money. There was no line and it was easy to get a table at 8:45 on a Saturday, but when we left at 9:30, there was a line out the door. Free street parking was easy to find at that time.
