Wag'N Tails
945 Orange Ave, CoronadoWe took our dog to Wag N Tails after a beach day for the self service dog bath. For $25, they give you two towels, dog shampoo, leave in conditioner, tons of options for brushes, apron, blow dryer, and usually a little treat. We were the only one using the dog bath (2 baths total) so we got to take our time. Also got him the cutest nautical collar from here! Tons of options and all were cute!

Pet Care

Coronado Veterinary Hospital
150 Orange Ave, CoronadoI go back and forth between Texas and Coronado every couple months and the last time we were in CA, our dachshund got super sick. We were very worried about him.. His primary veterinarian is in Texas and we’d never actually been to the vet in CA before this. Dr. Noppinger was the absolute best. Even despite our concerns with this being our first visit, our expectations were exceeded! Our fur baby is doing so much better and it hasn’t even been 2 days. Even the front desk staff and technicians were so helpful. Aside from their extensive knowledge with what was happening, they seriously have the best customer service I’ve personally ever experienced at a vet clinic. Thank you all so much for everything! Doc says Destiny is “his girl”!❤️

Purple Paws Pet Clinic
817 Orange Ave, CoronadoThe staff at purple paws is incredible! My 10 year old cat was extremely sick and they were able to take her in right away, even as a new patient. Dr. Tugend saved her life. We're three weeks out from treatment now and she is 100% better and it's like she was never sick. They're fairly priced and very knowledgeable. I'm so grateful for everyone at Purple Paws and because of them my cat is still alive and well.

Pet Sitting & Training

PoshPaws
826 Orange Ave, CoronadoWe recently boarded our mini Australian Shepherd, Scout, with Posh Paws, and we couldn’t be more grateful for the incredible experience! Laura watched Scout for four nights and treated her like one of her own. From the moment we dropped her off, we knew Scout was in the best hands.
Laura has a warm, calm energy that immediately puts both dogs and their humans at ease. She clearly loves what she does, and it shows in every interaction. Scout can be a little shy at first, but she bonded with Laura quickly — which says everything. Laura sent daily updates and the sweetest photos, giving us total peace of mind while we were away. Scout looked relaxed, happy, and right at home in every picture.
It’s not easy leaving your pet, but knowing Scout was so well cared for made all the difference. Laura went above and beyond in every way, and we feel lucky to have found someone so trustworthy and kind.
Thank you, Laura — Scout can’t wait to come back!

The Henry
1031 Orange Ave, CoronadoThe Henry had a good crowd at 1:30pm on a Monday. We split a Turkey French Dip that was quite good and had me forgetting about a beef French dip. The place has a good vibe and people aren’t packed together. Would recommend and would return.

Nado Gelato Cafe
1017 C Ave, CoronadoLiterally some of the best ice cream I’ve ever had. The chocolate mint was surprisingly spearmint, rather than peppermint. Fantastic, made fresh on site with all real ingredients. The toffee was rich and had lots of chunks of toffee.

Clayton's Coffee Shop
979 Orange Ave, CoronadoWe had awesome service by Dern! He was polite, friendly and outgoing. (Killer now tie too!) He made our experience so fun! I even witnessed his care for his customers as I watched him ensure an elderly man did not fall walking to the bathroom. Also, he seemed to interact positively with his teammates too. Thanks Dern! The facility and restrooms were clean. It was like stepping back in time. There are a lot of nostalgic things to take in. My husband and I split a classic hamburger, crinkle fries and a strawberry malt. All of it was delicious. My husband said, “if we lived here, I’d be a regular.”

Coronado Coffee Company
1201 1st St, CoronadoThe staff is so lovely and kind- every morning of our stay in Coronado we were met with smiling faces and a cheerful conversation. The drinks and açaí bowls were delicious.
Luis was working very hard to perfect our order of the “strawberry shortcake iced chai latte,” and always took personal attention to creating it with the perfect balance of flavor. It was very very tasty.

Miguel's Cocina
1351 Orange Ave, CoronadoNice experience overall. Service a bit slow. Seemed to be short staffed. Most of us liked what we ordered, such as tamales and enchiladas. But one person in our group who ordered the ahi tacos didn't like his meal at all.

Lobster West Coronado
1033 B Ave # 102, CoronadoI've been wanting to try this place for a long time. I DoorDash it today and I knew I wanted to try a little bit of everything, so I got the Nor'Easter which includes the Jr crab roll, Jr lobster roll, Jr shrimp roll. I also got a cup lobster bisque and a toasted roll to go with it and two Whoopie pies for dessert. Finally, I got the tarragon lemon aïoli on the side. The sandwiches were small (hence the "Jr") but after eating them and the very generous cup of soup, I was very full! For some reason, I was expecting the sandwiches to be mediocre, but immediately when I opened the bag, the smell was heavenly and the taste was even better. They were delicious! I got them all Connecticut style, which I think means warmed up? My favorite was the crab roll but they were all amazing. The bisque was good too -- not my favorite I've ever had (there's some flavor I usually like that was a little lacking. I think it's the sherry flavor? I'm not sure.) but definitely very tasty. I'm too full to try the whoopie pies yet but they look just like my mom's so I'm very hopeful!! I'm so pleasantly surprised and will absolutely be stopping by this restaurant to grab some more food soon!

Tartine
1106 1st St, CoronadoEnjoyed a nice quiet breakfast out side. Had a cold brew and Mexican mocha along with an order of granola and oatmeal. Nathaniel was nice and let us take our time relaxing and enjoying our coffee. He offered for us to look at their pastries as their dessert menu changes daily.
