Holistic Gold Pet Nutrition Center
1331 Cuyamaca St STE I, El CajonThe history of this place is AMAZING! SISSY is a true hero in the revolution of doggy nutrition to save our dogs and to extend their healthy lives.
This time we went for BOTH the great holistic food as well as used their Doggie Self Wash. Quiet, clean, not crowded. Safe, fully enclosed space for anxious pets. (With no visual or interaction with other pets!)
Bring an extra collar to get wet, extra towels, backup (or additional/specialized) shampoo & conditioner.
They do have dryer available in every room, but the noise always scares most of my pack so we never use it)
Arrive - MINIMALLY- a full hour before they close so you won't be rushed. (Call ahead for correct bath hours: info on internet is not accurate.)
Parking is easy. Quiet, safe neighborhood. Sufficient landscaping for tinkling/pottying pre-and-post bathing.
(Inside tips: 1) ramp is available by request if needed. 2) The warm water is on the LEFT with the TINY red band as an indicator.)
This place is GREAT value!

When I first called to inquire I spoke with the owner Anna Lisa. She was a gem. Since I had been going to the same groomer for several years she inquired what they charged. She seemed genuinely interested in making things right. Our furbaby was treated like their own and 5 minutes later we were on our way.

She is an anxious dog and usually never lets anyone cut her face and she came out nicely shaved exactly how we wanted, and was the happiest I’ve ever seen her after a grooming appointment. Thank you again and we’ll definitely be coming back!!

I used to take him to PETSMART and PETCO, and he would always be so scared when I would pick him up and they would barely do everything I would pay for. Once I started taking him here he walks right in and is happy to come back. She makes him look so handsome and clean, and is so gentle and kind with him. Even cleaned his back molars :'). Love coming here so much.

10312 Quail Canyon Rd, El CajonI don't why it is but my dog goes off with the doctor at ECLAP like she's going on a lark. The doctors and attendants have good bedside manners and I've yet to feel like we were being rushed out the door. And if you have to wait they have a pleasant sitting area outside. ECLAP is a ways away, unlike our former vet, but the drive is worth it. Also, ECLAP isn't as expensive as our former vet.
I have a theory....it may be the odor of death and chemicals that dogs don't like at vets as the reason they are fearful of going there. ECLAP is an open-air structure where it's ventilated naturally so that odor, if present, wouldn't linger.

They have been so attentive to his asthma condition and he is much better than ever before. His grooming was reasonable and high quality. Everyone there, from the doctors to the techs to the groomer are so professional and loving to all of the animals. I'm so glad to have discovered this wondrous facility. Having been all over San Diego and Tijuana I have found my forever vet at Singing Hills. Thank you!

Devotion to Dogs Expert Dog Training
440 Front St, El CajonI had started to lose faith that I’d be able to keep my German Shepherd mix, Walnut, due to her intense reactivity and territorial behavior. She was resource guarding, had poor recall, and was incredibly stubborn. I was overwhelmed and didn’t know what else to do.
Devotion to Dogs was recommended to me, and it was the best decision I’ve ever made for my girl. Walnut completed their two-week board and train program and came back a new dog, in the best way. No more lunging at strangers or other dogs. She plays nicely at the park and dog beach again, just like when she was younger before the reactivity set in. She can even relax in a coffee shop with me on a Sunday afternoon while I read, and I can trust her to stay calm and settled.
The training is just as much for the humans as it is for the dogs. I didn’t know how to set boundaries or communicate clear expectations before. The trainers worked with me 1:1 to make sure I knew exactly how to maintain everything Walnut learned once she came home.
Huge shoutout to Ben, Joshua, and Martina for their patience, consistency, and genuine care for every dog that walks through their doors. Walnut and I will be forever grateful. The weekly free socialization classes are such a gift and help us keep everything fresh.

412 Front St, El CajonWe absolutely love this day care. All the staff are great and always each to reach via phone if we have any questions. We take both of our huskies here and they are always so excited to go inside. Although the packages are expensive, they do save money at the end and are absolutely worth it. If you are looking for a good day care/ boarding, we highly recommend this facility. For boarding, we have had zero issues. Our dogs eat very specific raw food and the staff have followed all of our instructions and will even ensure to provide them their vitamins/supplements. We fully trust everyone at this facility to take care of our huskies and never feel stressed when we go on trips! I would say the only "con" is the pond they have that our huskies absolutely love and they are very stinky afterwards but at least I know they had a lot of fun! :)

She has vestibular old dog disease and it was a year since her last grooming. They spent a full extra hour getting all her extra hair removed. She has been shedding like crazy. You’re met with a friendly welcome and you can immediately smell the freshness of pulled coffee. I knew no matter what I’d order, I was in good hands. You know those kinds of places?
I went with the Beehive, a latte with honey and vanilla; two of my favorite flavor profiles. I was really impressed, you taste the quality of the coffee with every sip. In fact, the barista carefully weighed each espresso handle. Not too sweet, just a smooth latte nicely balanced
I hope to be back for more, particularly the seasonal drinks!

Plenty of parking on street and parking lot next door. We walked in and noticed it was a little loud but not overly crowded. You can tell they get alot of regulars here and we are about to become regulars ourselves. One of the waitresses said we can sit wherever, which I liked having an option. My husband ordered the strawberry stuffed crepes and I ordered the eggs benedict with hashbrowns. We both ordered coffee and liked the coffee. My husband says he liked his strawberry stuffed crepes, but they were very basic and nothing special about them. I loved my eggs benedict and hashbrowns. The waitresses were all very nice, it was a decent price too. They have a huge menu, so we will definitely be back again to try their lunch menu next.

Ordered Orange Chicken - it was so good we ordered a second plate of Orange Chicken.

cajon area. My favorite beer is is where vultures pare its german pilsner 5.5% $8 most 16 ounce beers are about $8. They have good food I personally like the double smashburgerbor philly cheesteak they run $18-$20 the bartenders are cool , friendly. Theres ample seating indoor and outside. Street parking, restrooms are clean and juke box adds a nice touch

We found heart of gold shelter and visited them outside of tractor supply at an adoption event.At the event, our family met Jessica, and our new future pup. Throughout the process of introducing our dog to the puppies through shelter visits, and home visits, Jessica was very helpful and supportive.We appreciated the thorough process to ensure the new pup was a good fit for our family and vice versa.Our new adopted pup Leo (pictured on right) has been adjusting to his forever home amazingly well, and he has quickly become a part of our family.Working with heart of gold shelter was a fantastic experience, and I would not hesitate to recommend to friends and family.
