Pet Care

Animal Dental Clinic
987 Laurel St, San CarlosI was refered to this clinic by my primary vet because my dog had some teeth concerns…. I was blessed to be referred to this clinic and want to thank Dr Farcas and team for the incredible treatment and care my baby was given. Dr Farcas is EXTREMELY knowledgeable, professional and PASSIONATE when it comes to treating our fur babies. Their technology for 3D scanning was incredible and allowed precision viewing of the issues at hand. I would recommend this facility to anyone in need of a dental specialist when it comes to your fur babies. If any of my boys need a dental specialist again in the future, I will 100% be coming back here. Thank you again crew for the work performed today. IG: Codyandcalvin2013

Veterinary Vision Animal Eye Specialists
210 Industrial Rd Unit 100, San CarlosDr. Li Puma is the most caring, careful, and dedicated veterinary ophthalmologist one could ever hope for. She has done emergency surgeries on each of my dogs and helped calm a distraught pet mom through it all knowing that Maggie was taking as much care of my dogs as they were her own, as well as myself. Dr. Freeman is another amazing ophthalmologist, one of the best, who also removes my dog’s cataract and was the first to show me how special the organization is. The team at Veterinary Vision from the techs to Monique in billing are top notch and I wish every veterinary office worked as they do. Five states, highly recommend.

Sequoia Veterinary Hospital

Holiday Kennels
221 Old County Rd, San CarlosLeaving your dogs for a few days is not easy for anybody, especially when your dogs are very close to you as April and Bianca are to me and my wife. However, Holiday Kennels does a great job taking care of them. For that reason, we wouldn’t leave them in any other boarding. Rusty and the rest of the team are amazing. Our dogs love them! During weekends, my wife and I send them messages asking for pictures, and they will send them right away! The bath and nails service is also really good (and the best price in the neighborhood).

Pet-Friendly Restaurants

Woodside Vineyards
380 Industrial Rd Suit B, San CarlosA Perfect Family Day Out: Woodside Vineyards Delights All Ages
Nestled in the heart of the Peninsula, Woodside Vineyards offers a surprisingly perfect outing for the whole family, blending sophisticated pleasures for adults with delightful entertainment for the little ones. Our recent visit with our five-year-old and one-year-old was a resounding success, leaving everyone with smiles and a desire to return.
For a winery, Woodside Vineyards is exceptionally family-friendly. The highlight for our eldest was undoubtedly the unexpected treasure trove of exotic cars stored on the premises. The gleaming collection of high-performance and classic automobiles had his eyes wide with excitement, providing a unique and thrilling diversion that you simply don't find at a typical winery.
While the kids were captivated, we were able to indulge in the true purpose of our visit: the wine. The selection was impressive, with each tasting revealing the quality and care put into their winemaking. The ambiance of the tasting area was relaxed and welcoming, with knowledgeable and friendly hosts who were more than happy to chat about their wines and the history of the vineyard.
The culinary offerings were another high point of our experience. The freshly made pizza was an absolute hit, with a delicious crust and flavorful toppings that pleased both the kids and the adults. We also savored a beautifully arranged charcuterie board, laden with an assortment of fresh fruits, artisanal cheeses, and cured meats that paired wonderfully with the wines.
Adding to the relaxed and family-friendly atmosphere were thoughtful touches that kept the children happily occupied. A charming fountain setup with wine barrels provided a fun sensory experience, and the availability of toy cars was a lifesaver for keeping our five-year-old engaged. It’s these small details that demonstrate a genuine understanding of a family’s needs
Located conveniently within the city, Woodside Vineyards is a rare find – a place where parents can genuinely relax and enjoy a sophisticated wine-tasting experience without worrying about keeping their children entertained. It’s a testament to the warm hospitality and thoughtful planning of the hosts. We wholeheartedly recommend Woodside Vineyards for a fantastic day out that truly caters to everyone.

Blue Oak Brewing Company
815 Cherry Ln, San CarlosWe live in Redwood City and had heard lots of recommendations to check out Blue Oak from friends in the area, but we had never been. When we started planning our wedding last year, we were looking for venues to host a welcome party for ~75-100 guests for the night before our wedding, and we saw that Blue Oak had a large event space that could be rented out. I reached out and heard back right away from their event coordinator, Brad, right away letting us know he could give a tour whenever we liked. We showed up later that week and he walked us through the space and talked us through what the event would look like. We had questions and he happily answered us, but the best part was that they seemed very amenable and willing to work with us which really set us at ease that we would be able to have the event happen exactly as we hoped.
We signed a contract and paid a deposit for the space and then discussed connecting closer to the event to select beers for it. Around two weeks before we went in with my parents and Brad let us go one by one (and also back for plenty of seconds) through every beer on their current tap list. He was very knowledgeable about the beers and was honestly just a very great guy.
For the event, we had outside catering delivered (they do not offer food) and were able to come to set up prior to the start time. Brad handled everything and hardly let us help when we needed a few things rearranged. They had a side room with a fridge and small food warmer where we could store a few of the trays of warm food. We were able to stream a video reel to a TV in the space and play music through their Bluetooth setup. Brad manned the taps and made sure everyone had a great time.
We had such a wonderful experience with Blue Oak. Their beers are fantastic and the brewery and event space are awesome – we can’t recommend them enough!

663 Laurel St, San CarlosFound this amazing little place that’s just delicious. They source locally and do farm-to-table. The prix fixe menu changes seasonally, and usually the Chef also does the serving. The steak was perfectly done, and the scallops were so yummy. Highly recommend for a cozy date night or special occasion.

Delizie Cucina & Vino
1107 San Carlos Ave, San CarlosFabulous food and service. The papardelle with cinghiale was scrumptious with delicate noodles and a delicious meaty sauce. Another dish, the baccala shown with a bright tomato sauce. Sides and wine paired well and finished the meal with a light limoncello cake.
