They always ease my concerns and doesn’t do unnecessary things. I am always given the least expensive option and what can wait vs what might be needed. I honestly considered not moving because of this dr and vet staff but unfortunately I need to, but definitely considering any routine visit will entail a San Marcos Visit. Kona and I will very well miss coming here.

We wanted a 2nd opinion and we’re referred to East and West. They got us in right away and, after examining our cat, Dr. K offered a very different assessment and care plan. In just a few days our cat was healing well and getting back to his old self.

Initial exam what was going on with his foot. The first doctor did an exam and X-ray and referred us to 2 surgeons at another location in S.M.
Max had a surgical procedure and that exceptionally well. Brought him home yesterday. He is doing well. So far, I’m extremely pleased with Everyone and everything that has taken place in Max’s highest best interest.

145 S Rancho Santa Fe Rd, San MarcosDr Ichord and and his entire team looked after and cared for my beloved pets 5+ years ago. I relocated to Vegas and came back 7 years later with my new pup as my others passed a while ago and the vet entire practice etc. are here still. I was so relieved and happy. If that doesn't speak volumes on how great the care for your furbaby is, customer service and operations are Im not sure what will :) coming back this many years later and still extremely satisfied. I called so many vets clinics hospitals you name it the prices were all very very high for the exam, blood panel and more as, therefore the things you want to get many items addressed or done you have to do slowly if on a budget. There prices are way more reasonable and more family minded in my opinion. Dr. Ichord and even the front office team explains everything out to where you don't ever feel rushed, you don't feel like you left missing anything and your dog/animal comes out happy. The appointment is worth the wait if you have to trust me. Riley will always come here :) thank you San Marcos Vet Clinic taking care of us always!

Twin Oaks Animal Hospital
310 S Twin Oaks Valley Rd #110, San MarcosI am posting another 5 star review for the amazing staff at Twin Oaks - and especially, Dr. Watanabe! My dog had what appeared to be a partial nasal obstruction and I was terrified that it was a malignant neoplasm (I work in oncology). Dr. Watanabe made time to see us and discussed all options including a nasal exam under sedation with potential biopsy and culture. She immediately called after his pre-anesthesia labs were resulted which showed an elevated neutrophil count (WBC, which indicates a potential infectious process present). We discussed further and decided to try a course of broad spectrum antibiotics before sedation. Seven days later and my soul dog is healthy as can be (pic from his follow up appointment)! Dr. Watanabe was patient, considerate and medically judicious in terms of our options and next steps! An amazing team of wonderful people - we’ll never go anywhere else! ??

705 Center Dr Unit 102, San MarcosUpdate: we visited again today, mid day. Super busy inside and out. Same lovely service and great coffees and pastry. I tried a flat white today, excellent! And a blueberry scone. I am serious when I say this was the best scone I have ever eaten. Moist, rich flavors, plump blueberries! And served warm with whipped cream and jam on the side. Amazing. (See photos!).
Our first visit to this cute comfy coffee house was absolutely perfect in every way! We were warmly greeted when we arrived (with eye contact), service was friendly fast and efficient, interesting and diverse pastry and food selections. Comfy couches and chairs with pillows, or lots of table options too. Funny coffee house sayings on the walls to get you smiling, and some cool art hanging too! (Thank you for supporting our local artists!?), plus small touches like plants and flowers add to relaxation and peaceful vibe. You feel welcome, relaxed, attended to and not rushed. The music selection is perfect too. Contemporary, but not annoying, right volume and feel for the place - you could definitely get work done or carry on a normal conversation. There were quite a few customers, yet voices were low and respectful of others.
We had pastries today (creme brûlée croissant and banana nut muffin). Both were delicious, moist, flavorful and not overly sweet.
And now the coffee! We had a latte and Americano. Both were excellent! Strong, complex flavors on the dark roast of the espresso balanced perfectly with the milk in the latte. Beautiful latte art to top it off. I seriously was reluctant to stir the design away.? Hubby said the Americano was “very good” (which is his highest praise). Food and drinks were brought to our table with care, we were check on to see if anything else was needed. And then finally, we were warmly thanked for coming in. Exceptional experience! Thank you. We will be back.

We reached out fairly last-minute for a tasting, and she got us in without hesitation—which we were so grateful for! Every single cake flavor she offered was absolutely dlightful (pun intended!)—each one was unique and delicious, and it was hard to even pick a favorite.
She answered every question we had with warmth and patience, and her follow-up was outstanding. About a week or two before the wedding, she called and emailed to confirm all the details of our order and make sure everything was just right. She even took my vision of a wildflower-themed cake and brought it to life beautifully—it was better than I imagined!
We’re so thankful we chose her. If you’re looking for a baker who creates both gorgeous and delicious cakes while being an absolute joy to work with, you will not be disappointed. Highly, highly recommend!

Funny enough I already had a stream of conscious rant already in profess. Without further adieu: That was one (well 2... I had some of my wife's) very well crafted burger. The bun, the delicious - not to greasy - burger, the symphony of flavors. It was all there. The seasonal salad was fantastic as well! The side of fries and tots were fried to perfection AND reasonably priced. It comes with ketchup but I do wish they threw in a complimentary "saucy" sauce with the sides (but I get it, they gotta make money). Perhaps a fry, onion ring, tot option with a trio of sauces? I would also be remiss to not mention the extremely friendly staff! In short: A perfect burger joint experience.
