The Buccaneer Lounge
70 W Sierra Madre Blvd, Sierra MadreI had some time to kill and noticed that the bar from “Halloween III: Season of the Witch” was right around the corner so I popped in. Had a good beer and was welcomed as a fan of the film by the bartender and several patrons who all encouraged me to come back at Halloween when actor Tom Atkins would be doing his annual Halloween appearance at the bar for “Drinks with Tom Atkins”. Apparently, several tour buses, bringing people to the bar as part of a Halloween movie site tour. Unfortunately, I won’t be around the area for Halloween, but it was great to stop by the bar amazing murals, Good beer and very friendly staff and patrons. He must visit place for horror, movie fans, but also a great place to get a drink in general. Check it out if you are in the area!

Coffee.jpg
142 W Sierra Madre Blvd, Sierra MadreThe coffee here is amazing. The barista is friendly. And the ambiance is quiet and intimate. When you walk in, it’s very open and welcoming. The barista was very knowledgeable on any of my questions and we traded recommendations on some local Portland roasters. I got a spro and cortado, while my wife got a Sierra tonic which actually made me like espresso tonics. Hands down this is the best oat cortado I’ve ever had. The milk was steamed with perfect microfoam, and it really accented the bean’s natural sweetness. I didn’t catch his name, but we were there at noon on a Saturday after thanksgiving. Anyway, stay frosty Sierra Madre, Peace.

Wistaria Restaurant and Bar
44 N Baldwin Ave, Sierra MadreWe discovered this little restaurant as we were walking in downtown Sierra Madre for a concert event. Walking in you immediately notice the clean, modern surroundings with a local vibe. Our attentive host sat us at the bar for drinks as we killed time before the concert. The bartender, or I should say, Mixologist, because he made amazing drinks, took our order for an Old Fashioned and a Cranberry gimlet, which my wife loved! Drinks were so good we ordered a Bourbon Sidecar and a Cucumber gimlet. Another win! We will most definitely be coming back to explore the dinner menu!

Monsieur Crêpe Café
54 W Sierra Madre Blvd, Sierra MadreAdded Sep 2025 - The prices are higher now, too high for me.
High quality food, informal, closes at 3 Tuesday-thursday, 7-7 others, closed Monday, crepe, sandwiches, quiche, salads all good, prices just about right ($10). Added Aug 2025 Check days and hours. I consider the prices high for the crepes, $16 and up. It's OK for the novelty, and I'd go for dinner, but they close in the afternoon. They do good business, though.

Lucky Baldwin's Pub
21 Kersting Ct, Sierra MadreThe first place I dove headfirst into craft beer long before the days of the haze. A very nostalgic place and not much has changed at all; that's its charm. Up the road, up the hill, a welcomed reprieve from the hustle and bustle. Always a mellow yet welcoming and warm pub, and is truly considered such. Steak and mushroom Guinness pot pies, bangers and mash, fish and chips, a traditional English breakfast, and a cheeky pint or two will serve you right proper filled ?? ? ? ?

Casa Del Rey
31 N Baldwin Ave, Sierra MadreOur favorite local Mexican restaurant.
Food is fantastic, service is great, especially the owners. They are extremely friendly and accommodating. We have been going there for years... it feels like home, they make sure everyone feels that way. The food, drinks & desserts has always been super delicious, consistent & plentiful. My favorite menu item is their #10 but they are all delicious! Especially their Margarita's. It is located in the Sierra Madre Foothills a very small town feel. You feel like you're on a vacation somewhere far away from home. It is definitely a place to visit if you have never been there, definitely put it on your bucket list.
We highly recommend it. ????

Nano Cafe
322 W Sierra Madre Blvd, Sierra MadreThey serve typical American food and they do it right. I ordered the pork chops and it tasted good. Some might feel it was a little dry but it was perfect for me. My server would come periodically to make sure if I needed anything. This place has been around for some time so it shows sign of wear and tears but overall fine. I love to come back again.

Tacos Ensenada
345 W Sierra Madre Blvd, Sierra MadreThis place is amazing. Their food is excellent as is their pricing. The service is always spot on, but I usually pick up as I live so close. The ambiance is the usual counter service with a few tables inside and out. I find their fish tacos that absolute best.
