Vintage Dog Ranch
22071 Bonness Rd, SonomaWe couldn't be happier with the system and staff at Vintage. Boarding our 5 mo old Labrador Retriever for 11 days gave her lots of new experiences and so many different dogs to play with while we were on vacation too. It gave us peace of mind to relax while we were away.
She came home with improved obedience, content, tired out, and even more lovie than before! The communication was great and the experience far exceeded our expectations! We love Vintage Ranch and will bring her back for playdates & overnights in the future! Can't thank the staff enough for making the whole experience smooth and great!! Highly recommend!!

Groomingdales
690 1st St W, SonomaGROOMINGDALES IS THE BEST!
My dog is clean, shiny, and good smelling every time I pick her up. She Always looks like "Top Dog" or "Best in Show" and I appreciate the care and kindness she recieves when she's there. This groomer is a dog owner as well, and I can see she truly loves all dogs. She is Definitely a top notch groomer, and if you love and care about your dog/s, I recomend you go to Groomindales as well. She has competitive prices, she gives top notch service, and appointments are always within a week or so, not months away like others. Sometimes, but not always (if she's not too busy) I can even get in same day. Don't waste your time "trying" other shops, go straight to Groomingdales. You WON'T be disappointed.

Valley of the Moon Vet Hospital
975 Boyes Blvd, SonomaI have used VOM for many years. The care and level of service they provide is exceptional. All of the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. They consistently keep us up to date with reminders for when our pets are due for anything. All of the procedures they have provided for our 3 pets over the years has always started with upfront pricing estimates and I have found their costs to be more than reasonable compared to others. They make sure to keep us informed with detailed lab results when needed and the Dr always reaches out to ask if we have any questions about anything. I highly recommend taking your furry loved ones here. They take great care of their furry patients and they have outstanding communication skills with their human clients as well.

El Molino Central
11 Central Ave, SonomaOkay, I know this is a Michelin noted restaurant, but I don't get it. I would rate my meal (chicken enchiladas with verde sauce) as 3 stars, but my husband would give his meal (chicken enchiladas in mole sauce) 5 stars. So, I'm meeting in the middle with 4 stars. First off, parking is virtually impossible here as the tiny lot in the back by the picnic tables can only hold about 6 cars. Maybe people who come here frequently know where to park, but it is not obvious to a tourist. My meal was okay. The black beans were so hot that I burned my tongue, while the chicken enchiladas (on the same plate) were a bit cool. I was warned that the plate was hot, but after taking two mouthfuls of the lukewarm enchiladas, I had no reason to believe the beans would burn my tongue. My husband was happy all around with his entree and said the mole sauce was the best he had ever had. Maybe the food is better at dinner? We were there for lunch.

The Epicurean Connection, Sheana Davis & Ben Sessions
19670 8th St E, SonomaA great add on activity in between wine tastings!
We booked this cheese making class and it didn’t disappoint. Everything was laid out and planned. They served wine and non-alcoholic drinks. The facility is clean and nice. Has a bathroom for guests. Ben was excellent at explaining and providing instructions without being overbearing or too vague. He was great with the teen we had with us. We made butter and cheese and couldn’t stop eating it. So watch out for spoiling your appetite before a lunch or dinner booking. I would recommend doing this early into your trip since you get to take the butter and cheese with you. Makes for great snacking or breakfast material. You get to add flavors to the cheese and a huge table with all sorts of local and global spices is at your disposal. We enjoyed mixing and matching various flavors, all turned out yummy.
There is a free parking lot right in front. We were able to park there during the class. Highly recommend it - go learn something and eat it!

Dutch Bros Coffee
711 Broadway, SonomaStopped by Dutch Bros Coffee in Sonoma and ordered a large iced vanilla chai—so good! The drive thru line moved quickly, and the employees were super friendly, which I honestly appreciate. Like most places these days it’s a little on the expensive side, but honestly, what isn’t? Always worth it for a good drink. The snack were pretty good too. My picky toddler seemed to like it! I stop here all the time.

We had the Bacalhau no Forno, Caldeirada Portuguese Fisherman’s Stew, Feijoada, and Alcatra Portuguese Pot Roast. Every dish was amazing, and the dinner was our favorite for our time in Sonoma. They offer red and white wine flights, as well as port flights for after dinner. The desserts are tasty too.

Hawkes Wine
383 1st St W, SonomaIf you like a big full bodied red, Hawkes is the tasting room for you! Conveniently located just off of Sonoma Square, the Hawkes tasting room is easily accessible and very inviting with their "Walk-ins welcome sign". With so many places requiring reservations, it was nice to see a place that not only welcomed walk-ins, but encouraged them. We came in without a reservation and were warmly welcomed and offered our choice of seats. They had both indoor and outdoor seating, we opted for the nice air conditioned inside. We did a tasting and tried one white and then a variety of reds from their different vineyards. Omar led us through the wines and was fun to chat with and very knowledgeable. Our favorite wine was unfortunately a club only wine, but we ended up taking a bottle of one of their cabs. Overall a good experience!
