Monique’s Pet Parlor
10011 Olive St, Temple CityMonique called me when she saw my two dogs run into her neighboring business which is a bike shop And then told that the bike shop lead to let the dogs into her shop. She was super kind and gracious nd I definitely will consider taking my dogs to her for grooming as I typically don't do professional grooming but I want to consider her shop to show my appreciation.

Pet Care

VCA Community Companion Animal Hospital
5271 Sereno Dr, Temple CityI brought a stray cat here for a wound infection.
Staff: The receptionists and techs were friendly, and the tech and Dr. Boykins handled the kitty very well with gentle touch and small movements.
Appointments: You have to make an appointment to be seen. Walk ins will be redirected to the earliest appointment date available, and the receptionists do their best to find a time that works.
Wait time: I waited about 20-30 minutes with an appointment. The overall exam duration was about 30 minutes, and I waited another 15 for the kitty's medications. I was out of the clinic within an hour and a half, and I think that's quite fast with the large amount of pets being seen.
Price: I honestly think the price is reasonable, but this is my first time getting medications for animals and visiting a vet, so I don't know how accurate my judgment is. I got antibiotics (for 7 days), antiseptic wipes (30 pieces), and pain-relief meds for a total of $101.39. I didn't need to pay for the exam because I had a coupon that waived the exam fees for first-time clients.
Price negotiations: I told the Dr. Boykins before we discussed treatment plans about my budget, and he was understanding. He offered to give me an estimate of the medications and offered me medication options that are cheaper.
Overall, I had a great experience!

Cloverleaf Coffee & Bakery
9475 E Las Tunas Dr, Temple CityExcellent customer service. I ordered an iced mocha. They make their own chocolate and it was delicious. I also ordered a bacon and cheese croissant. The bacon wasn’t well done the way I like it but some people like it that way. I totally recommend it.
Update: I tried their iced Aztec mocha. It’s my new local fave!!

4988 Santa Anita Ave, Temple CityI’ve been wanting to try Marko’s for a while. My brother and I had lunch there today. We were not disappointed. The service was very friendly and attentive. Marko came and introduced himself. He gave us a brief talk on how they pride themselves on serving fresh and authentic food. Recipes from the abuelita. Hangang Korean restaurant
5612 Rosemead Blvd, Temple CityFood was decent--- but price, can't be justified. Then again this is the norm these days at Korean Restaurants. I just feel... For maybe two pounds of Bones in Short Ribs in a Pot Roast Style...it dont make sense....100 a pop? You could mix your own sauce...pears, ginger, scallions, mirin, soy sauce, sugars. Gochujang...mind you I didn't even bother looking up the recipe but based on the flavor profile, I'd assume those were the core ingredients before you kind of sauteed all the beef until blood starts leaking out of the bones.... Anyways, I left the place bittersweet. On one end, I'm really full... Potato Cheese Pancake that was a cross between a hash brown, mochi, and pancake drenched in Honeycomb syrup,...and a large plate of pot roast, which felt more like a Rice Cake, Potato Carrots Medley and some bits of Beef Ribs...sauce was minimal, potatoes were on the drier side, I just don't know what to say about the Galbi dish....it felt lacking, and at that price point unless you topped it off with gold flakes white truffles, I feel if I just made an entire pot at home, my friends would be more impressed. Overall everything taste wise was a solid 7.5/10. Ban Chans were well sourced. But factor in the price, book value to product ratio, id rate the score a 6/10. Service was solid. My final thoughts, I don't know who came up with the idea such a dish should be valued at 3x...maybe Sun Nong Dan....but if you ran a central kitchen, braised your own Beef Chucks and Beef Shanks in High Pressure Pot, I think you can easily reach the same results at 1/3 the cost, more people would be able to experience it, it can be served individually rather than in a group and you reach a vast bigger audience. I don't know. Food for thought!

Oops Boba Tea & Coffee
9153 E Las Tunas Dr, Temple CityI had a delightful experience at Oops Boba Tea & Coffee (Temple City). I ordered the Baked Brulee Milk Tea ($6.59) with Boba (additional 75 cents). It's crisp black tea, salty & sweet brulee foam, and non-dairy milk with bouncy, perky boba pearls. I sipped happily. I arrived at Oops Boba Tea & Coffee (Temple City) on Sunday (around 11:12AM). Parking is simple since there's a nearby neighborhood with street parking. I quickly found a spot. Customers can order at the self-service kiosk or the counter. I chose the self-service kiosk, and I regret it because I dislike how the self-service kiosk requires the customer's phone number to proceed. Staff communicates well. After ordering, Staff honestly & politely informed me that they'd need 20 additional minutes for their Boba since they recently opened. I was perfectly fine with that since they spoke upfront and honestly. After the 20 minutes passed, the drink took four minutes and 14 seconds. As mentioned, I ordered the Baked Brulee Milk Tea ($6.59) with Boba (additional 75 cents). It's delicious. This chill drink carries a crisp tea flavor. The foam is also zesty with a soft sweetness. It reminds me of a creamy milk tea. In addition, they made wonderful boba pearls. These boba pearls are sweet, bouncy, and playful. YUM! On ambiance, Oops Boba Tea & Coffee (Temple City) is a wonderful spot to study/work. There's a long wooden table with 9 electrical plug spots, and there's four available electrical outlets. The location also includes customer internet with password; the details are confidently shown on the counter. The location also has a gender neutral restroom in the back, and there's plentiful hand sanitizer bottles in reach. The location felt clean and comfortable. Oops Boba Tea & Coffee (Temple City) uses its space well. There's four tables and one long wooden table. There's also two small outside tables. During my stay, it felt very comfy as I listened to its smooth music. Overall, I had a pleasant experience at Oops Boba Tea & Coffee (Temple City). They serve wonderful drinks and boba. If searching for a place to study/work, this is an easy recommendation. 4.8 out of 5
