“I recently visited Macy’s in Orlando after an unsatisfactory experience at another retailer, and I want to share a detailed comparison based on my shopping experience.
Earlier in the day, I visited JCPenney at Posner Park in Davenport. While the store had a decent selection, I experienced issues with unclear pricing and sale signage that did not match the items underneath. At checkout, I experienced significant “sticker shock” when my total was much higher than expected based on what was advertised on the floor. There also wasn’t much assistance available on the floor to help clarify pricing or locate items. Overall, I left feeling uncertain and disappointed due to the lack of clear communication and customer support.
After that, I decided to visit Macy’s in Orlando instead, and the difference was immediately noticeable. The store was well-organized, and staff members were consistently attentive, courteous, and available without being intrusive. Multiple employees checked in to see if I needed help, and one even offered to assist in locating specific sizes at checkout, which I found very helpful.
I spent around 30–45 minutes shopping and was able to find sweatpants, dress pants, and a belt that I genuinely liked in my size (30x32). The pricing was transparent, and the final total at checkout actually came in lower than what I had estimated, which I appreciated. There were no surprises at the register, and the sales reflected what was clearly marked.
Despite the store being busy with many customers, service remained consistent and professional throughout. The overall experience felt organized, respectful of customers’ time, and focused on helping shoppers find what they needed.
Based on this visit, Macy’s delivered a significantly better shopping experience for me in terms of service, pricing clarity, and overall quality. I would confidently return for future shopping needs.”

Swimsuit pieces are just $14.99 each. I found two comfortable pair of work shoes and dress shoes. My daughter found some really good deals on tops and bottoms for just under $15 each. I need to make note to come back here during tax free season and when the store has the extra 50 percent off deals.”
