“Moped wasn’t starting went in and he fixed it in like 10 minutes it was just a simple spark plug issue but then 2 days later it didn’t start again, so I went back and he realized he didn’t screw it on tight enough and didn’t charge me for it and he apologized. He could have easily lied and charged me more. Everyone there seems very genuine and look like they want to help, I trust this shop.”
“I’ve been coming to Mikes AC for the past 8 years. Mike has fixed multiple cars of mines over the years. Sadly Mike passed away in 2024. He was a terrific honest guy. However he left his business in excellent hands! James is their top guy and he has fixed my van twice in 2025 (2 separate things). James is honest and trustworthy. The price is ALWAYS reasonable and they get the job done correctly. I definitely recommend Mike’s AC and I always recommend them whenever my friends or family are having ac issues.”

“I had a great experience at the Midas on Willingham Blvd. Their oil change prices were the most affordable I could find anywhere, and the service was fast and professional. The guys there also pointed out that my engine air filter was dirty — something my previous military car shop never mentioned in years of taking my car there. I really appreciate that they actually looked out for me and caught it before it turned into a bigger problem. Definitely sticking with Midas from now on!”

“Very impressed with Benz and Jagz Specialist. The service advisor Flora is the real deal—knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely customer-focused. She walked me through the repair (Suspension) & maintenance options (spark plugs and transmission service) for my Mercedes and gave a transparent estimate, and delivered exactly what she promised with a quick turnaround. There was an added cost due to a part that was essential for the transmission service and Flora did call me beforehand to inform of the change which I appreciate it. The whole experience was stress-free. If you want quality work without the runaround see Flora. She is awesome!”

“Safety inspection expires at the end of 3/26. A safety inspection at my usual service station determined that my parking brake was not holding when engaged. I drove to Starkey’s to see if it could be fixed and accommodated that day. They were busy and full and could have easily turned me away. Good customer relations! They were understanding and told me to bring my truck in 2 days before 9 am. I was accommodated and Brian kept me in the loop and got it fixed to pass my safety inspection……Mahalo Starkey’s”

I’m new to the area and needed a mechanic ASAP. After calling around, Alexander’s Automotive was the only shop that could get me in the next day and they had a reasonable diagnostic fee that’s waived if they find and fix the issue!
I brought my car in, and they quickly identified and resolved the problem. What really stood out was how Alex and his team took the time to explain everything clearly so I could understand what the problem was.

“I recently needed an oil change for my 2015 Chevy Colorado, and the timing couldn't have been better--I had a gift certificate for an oil change at A‑1 Auto Repair. I called this past Monday, 3/21/26, and Timo answered. I asked if there was any chance of getting in on Wednesday, 3/25/26, even though I knew it was short notice. He let me know they were pretty booked that day but offered Thursday, 3/26/26 instead. My schedule was full on Thursday, so we settled on Tuesday, 3/31/26. Later that day, my Thursday opened up, so I called back. Timo picked up again and was able to fit me in at 9am. Super easy, super friendly. When I arrived today, 3/26, the owner, Bubba, greeted me right away and welcomed me in. I let him know I had a 9am appointment and that I was a few minutes late because I went to the wrong address. I also mentioned that I'd actually been to them years ago at their old location (funny enough, also with a gift certificate) and had a great experience back then too. Bubba shared that they'd moved to this new spot just about a year ago. He checked me in and asked if I planned to wait or leave. I told him I'd stay, and he gave me the option of sitting outside or heading upstairs to their waiting room with AC and a TV. Upstairs, there's even a window where you can see the mechanics working on the vehicles, which I thought was a nice touch. I got some work done on my laptop while I waited. A little later, one of the mechanics came up to let me know he recommended a tire rotation. He walked me through the estimate he texted over, and I approved it. Not long after, he came back to tell me everything was done, and that I had a zero balance. I asked if he was sure because I was prepared to pay for the rotation, but he said Bubba took care of it. I thanked him and asked for his name, and he told me it was Timo. I mentioned that he was actually the one who helped me over the phone when I booked my appointment, and I thanked him again. That kind of gesture says a lot about the heart behind a business. When I headed downstairs, Bubba even backed my truck out for me so I could pull right out. I thanked him again and was on my way. From start to finish, the service was genuinely great. Everyone was friendly, laid back, and humble. The shop itself isn't fancy, but that's part of its charm--you can feel the honesty and hard work in the way they run things. It's the kind of place where you know you're being taken care of, not taken advantage of. I highly recommend A‑1 Auto Repair and will definitely be returning for future service or repairs. Mahalo to Bubba, Timo, and the whole A‑1 team for the awesome experience!”

“It was a great experience working with Mr. Earl while discussing the 2025 Nissan Rogue SV model. He took excellent care of us throughout the entire process, including the paperwork, coordination with the finance department, and support from other departments as well.
Mr. Earl also gave us a full tour of the New City Nissan showroom and service center, showing us how to bring the car in for service, where to park, how to check the service status, and where to pick up the car keys. He even showed us the customer waiting lounge.
Overall, his guidance and hospitality made the experience smooth and enjoyable.”

“My front tire light came on while I was in town & looked for the closet tire shop with a rating about 4 stars. I was a little hesitant to bring my Mercedes to a discount tire shop because I was worried maybe the customer service wouldn’t be as good or maybe they don’t work in European cars, which is common here. Well, I was totally wrong to be worried about it. I pulled up and my car was immediately taken back for inspection. It turns out I had a nail in each of my front tires. They were able to repair and re-inflate my tires in the time it took me to use the restroom. They didn’t even charge me for the repairs either! I will definitely be coming back here whenever I need to buy new tires. I was genuinely really impressed.”
“I was blown away by the customer service provided. Came in as a first time customer and had them check someone else's work on my Jaguar. In the first 5 minutes of speaking with Cody and the other guy at the front (sorry I forgot name), l was pleasantly surprised that they offered a shuttle and when it came time to repair, they actually took the time to explain what was happening to me in a language I could understand. Other shops have treated me like a dollar sign, just telling me what they think my car needs. These folks explained it to me without rushing, answered questions, and just treated me with patience and kindness that I haven't received other places. Even showed me a video of the problem, which I really appreciated. Excellent customer service!”
“These guys are SO AWESOME!!! Being a single woman I walked in apprehensive at first, waiting to get taken to the cleaners. They were upfront and honest and I felt completely at ease. They needed to order a part from the mainland to repair my BMW. The mainland company never responded. Because of the delay, they ordered the part from the local dealer at a much higher price and paid the difference for me and fixed my car in record time! They’re awesome! I have two Fords and a Hundai at home and I really wish they were all BMW’s or minis so I could give them ALL my business! If you have a BMW or a Mini, don’t go anywhere else!!!
