“I have traveled all over the world and stayed at many fine hotels and resorts, but The Langham Chicago is truly one of the best. I just completed my fourth stay from September 6th to 10th, and this time I brought my son. The hotel facilities are simply outstanding—the spa, gym, and indoor swimming pool are all top-notch. The views by the river are magnificent, offering a serene backdrop to our stay.

However, what truly sets The Langham apart is the exceptional service. From check-in to check-out, every staff member we encountered was attentive, kind, and made us feel incredibly welcome. The experience in the Club Lounge was particularly memorable, with the staff going above and beyond to ensure our comfort.

Even after checking out, I left with a heart full of warmth and happiness. Thank you, Langham Chicago, for another incredible stay. I can't wait to return!”

“Perfect Boystown Stay — Boutique Feel & Great Accessibility

This place surprised me in the best way. The location is unbeatable, right in the heart of Boystown, but it still feels like a quiet boutique hotel with charm. The rooms are bright, clean, and accessible, and there’s a lovely outdoor garden area that makes it feel cozy and peaceful.

Only small note: the bed height might be a bit high for some wheelchair users, but otherwise accessibility was great.

The staff are genuinely friendly and welcoming. I’ll definitely be back. Thanks for a great stay!”

I have the best view of the city and I couldn’t be happier. My room is everything I could have asked for and more. I loveeee the decor of the hotel and my room is so gorgeous. “Stayed for a busy work event weekend and I can’t speak highly enough of the service received! Ramon was exceptional!!!! Because of our tight schedule we ended up eating at the hotel restaurant 2/3 nights but honestly, everything we had was delicious. We received recommendations from the wonderful staff members at the front desk and they were spot on. Ramon, thank you again for such wonderful hospitality!

Rooms: Spacious, clean, modern

“Stayed for the weekend in a lake view suite Pros: - That view was STUNNING. It had an amazing view of the lake with very little blocked by other buildings. Sunrises were sooooo beautiful and bright - Staff: All the staff we encountered were polite and friendly. What you would expect from a Four Seasons. One of the room service runners went above and beyond one morning. I had requested one of my green juices with extra ginger if possible. When the food arrived I asked if they were able to accommodate my request, and he had no clue, but he offered to go back to get me what I wanted. I told him it was no problem, but after about ten mins he was back with a fresh juice with plenty of ginger. Doormen were sooooooo helpful and friendly. Always asking if we needed any help or a taxi, or waiting for a ride service car. - Room service: we had a breakfast comp so I ordered both mornings. It took some time to get someone to answer my phone call the first morning, but not a biggie. Food arrived exactly as I wanted - DJ in the lounge/bar area on the weekend. I wasn't expecting such a "party" but it was pretty nice. I could tell most people there were hotel guests, or people here for work - It's not that close to Miracle Mile and Millienium park area, buuuuut it was one of the only hotels in the area that had larger suites that weren't overly outrageous in price. The suite we stayed in was a king suite, with french doors that separated the bedroom from the living room area that had a pull out couch. Perfect for a family with small kids I think. The only drawback to the room was that the bathroom was on the opposite side of the living room area. But maybe actually great if you don't want your date/partner to hear you using the bathroom if they were in the bedroom. Neutral comment: - Older and a bit outdated in terms of the rooms, at least the lake view suite we stayed in. But this is such a minor comment. Cons: - The TV remote. I think because it was one of those smooth remotes without any actual tactile buttons, it just sucked. It was annoying trying to change changes, to search, even just to turn the TV on/off. We had to press down really hard, and sometimes it would signal the TV twice - turning off and then turning back on because we pressed so hard. - Expensive: It was pricey, but it was a Four seasons hotel and had all the four seasons amenities and service affiliated with a Four seasons Would I come again? Sure”

“We had an outstanding experience with Keegan, our valet at the Viceroy this past Friday. He is incredibly nice, professional, and clearly hardworking. We weren’t even staying at the hotel—we just used the valet service before heading to a birthday dinner at Maple & Ash. Keegan made parking completely seamless and had our car ready right on time when we needed it.

He went above and beyond to provide excellent service, and we truly appreciated his effort in making the night stress-free. 12/10!!”

“Located near the Water Tower, this grand international hotel has an amazing lobby with the Torali restaurant and Starbucks. The reservations desk staff were friendly and gave me water. I came early, and they were able to place me in my room before 4 pm. The bedroom was generously spaced with a tv, a desk, a couch, and a partial view of the lake and John Hancock building. The walk-in shower was huge, with lots of towels and two robes. Check out is normally 12 pm. Btw there was only one computer for the business center, a spa, a fitness center with a swimming pool, steam, and sauna.”

“This might be my favorite hotel I’ve ever stayed in. From the moment you walk in, the entire place smells amazing—it’s fresh, clean, and adds a luxurious touch to the atmosphere. I wish I had taken more photos because the hotel is stunning, with beautiful decor and an artistic, modern design throughout. The staff were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to make the stay enjoyable.

The location is perfect, right in the heart of downtown Chicago along the river. It’s within walking distance of the Magnificent Mile, Millennium Park, Navy Pier, and countless great restaurants and shops. If you’re looking for a comfortable, stylish hotel in a prime location, the Royal Sonesta Chicago is hard to beat.”

“The staff is very friendly and helpful. The location is second to none, and the views are fantastic! The hotel features Korean inspired decor and is very modern. The amenities are great and everything is super walkable from this hotel. It's a very safe area and has everything you would want to experience in Chicago. We will absolutely be back!”

“The Swissotel is located in an area close to Millenium Park and Magnificent Mile, you don't need to walk far to do anything. Extremely comfortable and with an incredible view, I faced the Navy Pier and could see the Ferris wheel from afar, really beautiful. It also had a view of the Michigan River, another asset. Room temperature according to your taste, I went in the cold winter and was fine at 80°F. Extremely comfortable bed and wonderfully clean room, comfortable bathroom and complimentary coffee. I had the right to an early check in, for which I am very grateful, and a brief late check out.
However, there was no socket to charge the cell phone next to the bed (only USB points on the lamps and they had poor contact), there was no Smart TV (only open TV full of advertisements and, to watch a movie, you had to pay $20 for each ) and to order a CUTLERY you had to pay $9.99.
An incredible hotel and worth staying if you have money to spare or a promotion.”

“The Blackstone Autograph is easily one of the best hotels I have stayed at in the Michigan Avenue Chicago area. Have stayed in quite a few around the area. They have mostly been too old, too expensive. The location is on Michigan Avenue like i mentioned and very close to Millenium Park. The rooms here are nice and spacious. The lake view rooms (though I didn't end up getting one) have a fabulous view for the morning sunrise. The gym is well equipped. The staff is courteous, though the only staff I interacted with were the reception folks. The housekeeping folks are like they aren't existent (I didn't get to see them) but they are super efficient at their work. Everything in its place and nicely cleaned up every day. The security folks at the door were also very nice and helpful with the bags. They have a restaurant at the hotel which we didn't try, since we went out and about in the area to check out different restaurants in the area every day. There's a plethora of options for different cuisine restaurants in the area. I did go the the bar one night to get the complimentary drink & it was nice.My only grouse with the place, if I could point it out was that, the flooring is marble and so it gets really cold during winter months and they could provide some of those bathroom slippers to make it easy to walk around the room. All in all, a very nice stay and vfm for the price we got it at through our company.Rooms: The rooms here are nice and spacious. “Stayed two nights at the end of April 2024. Great location for my needs, walking distance from a parking garage I booked separately at a fraction of the cost compared to the parking options offered by the hotel. The room (standard king-size) was very spacious, fresh and clean and so was the bathroom. I really liked to comfortable couch which was good for relaxing.Staff were friendly, helpful and polity. The pool and fitness center were nice.Avoid the laundry machines, I had to use and my clothes were left with a terrible smell so had to wash them again at the next hotel. A quick visual inspection afterwards confirmed that they do not clean them unfortunately. On the negative side, I was not upgrades as I had hoped and expected with my Platinum status.Price were high, but OK. They can very greatly day-to-day but seem to be on par with the area and Chicago.”

“The Nobu Chicago is an excellent choice should budget allow. Rooms are exceptionally designed and the location in Fulton Market is fantastic for exploring all the great dining options within walking distance.

Hotel staff was unpretentious and friendly, especially considering the infamy of this brand.

And wow does it smell good. So mad I forgot to purchase a candle at check out! This will likely be a repeat stay on our frequent weekends in Chicago.”

“The staff was nice. The room was so small but clean.Great location to walk around instead of paying for parking. I love the lobby. There were games you could play while waiting on family or a ride.”

“I liked it. Exactly what I needed, where I wanted it. Parking can be difficult and not crazy about the high cleaning fee, but that's what you get with air bnb.”

“I booked this hotel for my girlfriend's birthday as she loves Chicago. While I could have booked another hotel with a city view, something drew me to this hotel. I think it was because I booked a Kimpton hotel in New Orleans during a road trip where we brought her dog since they're pet friendly. The hotels have this boutique and intimidate feeling to them. If this is what they're truly marketing themselves at, forgive me as I'm not a hotel connoisseur. I booked the hotel about a month in advance using the American Express travel portal. This particular one was included in The Hotel Collection and also had a deal for a free night included in the price. My card allows me a late check in, complimentary upgrade (if available), and a late check out (if available). I'll get to these points in a bit. I messaged the hotel in the Amex travel portal to ask if they had anything to make our stay special for my girlfriend's birthday, to which they said they noted in our stay. Our flight was set to arrive around 9:45pm local time, but ended up being 2 hours late. We arrived at the hotel and I ask the gentleman if there would be any issues with checking in this late, to which he said no since I had noted a late check-in. He gave me 2 pages that gave us information on the restaurant/bar/lounge they have on site, as well as benefits from booking through the Amex travel portal. We were on our way to our room in less than 10 minutes! I had originally booked the Premium Room with a Walk-in Shower (King Bed), but we ended up getting upgraded to the Premium Room with a Deep Soaking Tub (King Bed) on the 6th floor, nice! Once inside, we found a plate of dessert bites with a note. The room was very nice, clean and spacious! Room service came every day, which was a delight since we'd go out exploring every day and come back to a refreshed room. The location is very close to public transportation and to local attractions, which was a plus. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. As far as the special request for a birthday occasion, I can't say if we got something complimentary since it wasn't explicitly mentioned (upgrade was requested if possible, but also came as a perk via my card), since I recall reading reviews where they got champagne and chocolates for an anniversary. A couple things to note: The front desk is on the 2nd floor, there will be a sign at the main entrance stating that. You can either walk up the stairs where the sign is or take the elevator. They have a fitness room that seemed quite empty (which is good for those that prefer it like myself) and a spa room where you can book in advance (at least 24 hours, we couldn't get one last minute, but they did try to accommodate us with a booking at a nearby partner location). Both are at the far end of the 2nd floor. Behind the front desk is a seating area with great artwork and plenty of seating. They also have coffee and tea there every morning starting at 6am (or 7am, can't quite remember).”

“It's not quite a 5-star, but better than a 4-star.It's nice having a 'home-base' when traveling, particularly for work, and on that account this property delivers well. I had a one bedroom suite. Layout is comfortable, décor is 'homey' and kitchen area is well equipped. The room did need a deep cleaning, the couch was stained and there were a few dust bunnies in the corners. Also, the mattress had seen better days; clear indentations from a lot of use. NEVERTHESLESS, it was a comfortable space and I would stay here again.Breakfast is plentiful, nothing fancy, but lots of simple, well prepared food. Staff are attentive and knowledgeable. I will definitely stay here on my work trips to Chicago.”

“This is the best stay I have ever had from start to finish. Kris was amazing at answering my questions over email which made me confident in my choice to book here. The security is amazing at the building and we felt so safe! We were treated like royalty at the check-in desk and continued to feel this way in our room with an amazing view and during the check-out process. They had amazing breakfast. There are also plenty of places to eat around the hotel, I recommend Luke’s. This is now one of my best memories and I will definitely be back.”

“There was a lady with long braids who was amazing and the rest of the staff was amazing too! First time in Chicago! Amazing!!! The only part that was off was the noise with them replacing all the locks! But awesome that they added extra security measures!”
