Outer Barks - Waterfront Shops
1240 Duck Rd, DuckI look forward to visiting outer barks each year when I come to the beach! Such a cute store and the owner is so friendly and insightful. I get the donut dog treats each year for my dog along with the freshly baked dog treats. The store always smells amazing with the aroma of the fresh dog treats that they are cooking that day.

Pet-Friendly Restaurants

The Blue Point
1240 Duck Rd, DuckWas super nice place.
Shrimp and grits were of the charts.
Sweet potato soup was very very good
Only complaint is the salmon was basically burnt on skin. Good flavor but not great.
Everything else was very tasty, but overpriced. Entree was perfect size and price. But the salad was small for the cost.

NC Coast Grill & Bar
1184 Duck Rd, DuckAfter exploring the town of duck via the boardwalk it was refreshing to be greeted with such a courteous staff that allowed me to sit at the bar for some time waiting on the dinner menu to become available. It was a unrushed, inviting experience that was made even better by one of the best steaks with fresh vegetables that I have had the privilege to consume. Great upscale environment, courteous staff and topped off with amazing food made for a time that I will be back soon to duplicate.

Duck Deli
1223 Duck Rd, DuckOk - if yall haven’t been, or if you have been but you get sandwiches every time you go, I highly recommend you try their enormous “jumbo smoked chicken wings!” I love their Italian, and they have great brisket and barbecue, but the “cackalacky wings” were awesome! AND - if Steven is working and you want them spicy hot, tell Molly at the register and she will have him hook you up! AND they have the battered fries that my wife loves so it’s a win-win! AND - they are one of the only restaurants on the northern end of the Outer Banks open all year. AND - a little birdie told me that sometime in March they will start having breakfast full-time as well!!!

Duck Pizza
1171 c5 Duck Rd, DuckWell bless its heart--this little coastal pizza joint ain't tryin' to impress nobody with fancy frills. She's got a good ol' black-and-white checkered floor that's seen more flip-flops than a beach boardwalk, basic tables and chairs that wobble just enough to keep you humble, and décor so sparse it practically whistles when the door opens. The walls don't tell stories, but the air sure does--salty, warm, and heavy with the promise of hot pizza and cold drinks. It's the kind of place where the ambiance is "sit down, hush up, and eat," and honestly, that's all she needs. Cheers!

Fishbones Raw Bar & Restaurant
1171 Duck Rd, DuckOn a recent trip to Duck, NC, we ate at Fishbones. Both my husband and I ordered the tuna. It was so tender and delicious. Our server was also exceptional. She gave our grandkids some paper and crayons and after they completed their drawings, she posted them on her counter. So thoughtful!!!
We will definitely return on our next visit.

Treehouse Cafe & Coffee
1177 Duck Rd #34, DuckThis is our go to place for breakfast when in Duck. Breakfast sandwiches are delicious and coffee is really good. Plus the location in Scarborough Faire is scenic and a pleasure to walk around. Highly recommended.

Roadside Bar & Grill
1193 Duck Rd, DuckThe food was great in this local hangout. It is hard to find someplace open in the off season, but I bet this place is very busy in the height of vacation season. The inside space is small but in warmer weather they have a nice outside venue for live music. Definitely worth the stop especially in the off season.
