Five Paws Dogs Grooming Salon
2126 Huntington Dr, San MarinoWhile the service is good, the prices continue to increase every 6 months it seems, and they charge $60 extra for brushing/matting. That seems excessive for small dog. I'm paying double what I did a few years ago and my dog's size has stayed the same. Also, for the high price we're paying now, at least keep providing the free bow tie! They have not given the free bow tie the last few times now. I need to find a more affordable place now.

Hana Snowy
2986 Huntington Dr, San MarinoI've been bringing my dogs here for years and Hana Snowy never disappoints. Lily loves and treats my dogs as if they're her own and it really shows. I've been bringing my border collie, Percy, to Hana Snowy since he was 1 (he's now almost 7) and I've never seen a dog more excited to get a bath. Percy is normally very picky about the people he's friendly with and he absolutely adores Lily so I think that says a lot. My 1 year old Texas Heeler is also pretty nervous around people but he warmed up to Lily right away. She just has a way with dogs! Lily is also super accommodating schedule wise. As a long-time customer, I usually just call the morning I'd like to bring my dogs in and she always finds a way to squeeze them in. I have an extremely busy work schedule and her flexibility just makes me life so much easier. On top of that, if I'm running late or being held up, she doesn't mind if I leave my dogs with her for longer than normal and she always says they're welcome for however long. Grooming wise, Lily is too notch! My double coated dogs come home smelling amazing and so soft. She usually also trims their nails and brushes their teeth if they need it. And if I ask, she'll trim Percy's feathers so that he doesn't look so burly. I can request sensitive skin shampoo if I think my dogs are having some skin issues and she's always happy to accommodate. I can't recommend this place enough!

Pet-Friendly Restaurants

Mari Vees
2150 Huntington Dr, San MarinoThis place and never went in until a couple days ago and I got the rancheros sunny side up. The flavors were really good. I thought it was a little bit too white sauce the tortillas all the flavor was delicious. The staff was exceptionally attentive and I was just taking out. They gave me a lot of attention, which is pretty nice. Don’t see that anymore. We got a cup of coffee, which is really good and took it home far away for breakfastmaybe share with your friends.

Chapresso
2142 Huntington Dr, San MarinoChapresso is a tiny boba tea shop in San Marino. They have breadth selection of fruit teas and milk tea boba. And it is the only tea shop in this upper middle class city. I came to grab a hot Jasmine Pekoe Green tea which is a high-quality tea leaves , often younger leaves with fine hair (pekoe). Its flavor was smooth, mellow, slightly sweet, with fresh fruity undertones.
Prices were fair. Staff and service were cordial and on spot, respectively. Indoor and outdoor seats were very limited.
Overall, I liked my tea at Chapresso. I highly recommend them.

Noodle World
932 Huntington Dr, San MarinoI am so glad the lemongrass pork noodle is back. It was off the menu for a while and I was so happy I could order it again. When I first had this years ago at the now closed Pasadena location, I thought it was one of the tastiest things I had ever eaten, and the one in San Marino was DELICIOUS. It is a great combination of warm tender and very flavorful pork, cold noodles, lettuce, cucumber, cilantro, peanuts, and sweet/slightly spicy sauce on the side. Must try!

Colonial Kitchen
1110 Huntington Dr, San MarinoI love Colonial Kitchen. Been going there for years. I went last weekend and tried the Chilaquiles. The chilaquiles were fine, except for the sides: hashbrowns and lettuce with pico de gallo on top. Although I understand that not everyone likes refried beans, patrons should be given the option of either a side of beans or hashbrowns. Lettuce is definitely not an acceptable side for chilaquiles.
