“Great experience I’ve ever had, just because of the associate named Ebony in Back bay store. I needed a skirts and she was very helpful and she started looking with me and finding me the skirt’s. She found like seven skirts for me the same size that I was in like 5 minutes. And just to note something, I was there a week ago, and there was another associate that I asked for help and she walked by next to me without helping me. If I could give 10 stars to Ebony I would've!”

“This Macy's was interesting. They had a lot of summer clothing despite it being October. That surprised me. They did have a lot of boots to choose from. I tried on a couple pair of boots but nothing really jived for me. I did end up purchasing a Calvin Klein blouse. The store is spaced out nicely. I think there were three levels. A nice lady helped me in the shoes department. She took the time to answer questions even though she had lots of customers around her. That was the opposite of the clothing department where it took quite a while to find someone to ring me up even though there were no customers. This is probably the nicest department store in Downtown Boston. They also have a Starbucks on the first floor.”

“Happy holiday shopping! I walked in and was warmly greeted upon arrival. The collection was gorgeous. I wanted everything. The collection felt fresh and classic. They also had fun pieces which is a nice touch. The colours and silhouettes were gorgeous. Team was very helpful and did a great job with suggestive selling while listening to my wants and needs. “There are moments in life when someone believes they are simply doing their job, while the person on the other side is quietly experiencing something much bigger.
That was my experience with Alexander at Chanel.
I first met Alexander during one of the most difficult periods of my life, when I was going through an incredibly stressful and lonely time. Meeting him again felt like reconnecting with someone whose kindness had stayed with me long after our first encounter.
This time, I asked him if he could help me with my makeup. He welcomed me with genuine enthusiasm, invited me to remove the makeup I was wearing, and transformed what could have been an ordinary shopping experience into one of the most meaningful afternoons I’ve had in a long time.
Alexander didn’t rush. He didn’t make me feel like another customer. He made me feel seen.
He patiently guided me through Chanel’s Les Exclusifs collection, sharing the story behind each fragrance with such passion that every bottle became more than a perfume—it became a memory, a place, or an emotion. He wasn’t simply selling a product; he was sharing craftsmanship, artistry, and history.
At one point I told him, “We’ve been spending so much time together. I don’t mind waiting while you help another customer and make another sale.”
He smiled and replied, “I’m having fun helping you.”
That simple sentence meant more than he will probably ever know.
There are people who perform a job, and there are people who share a part of themselves through their work. Alexander belongs to the second group.
What he gave me that day wasn’t just exceptional service. He reminded me what it feels like to receive kindness without feeling like a burden. He gave me permission to slow down, to enjoy beauty, to laugh, and to simply be cared for.
We often underestimate the impact we have on strangers. A conversation, genuine attention, or a little extra time can become part of someone’s healing story.
Alexander, thank you for reminding me that luxury is not only found in beautiful fragrances. Sometimes, true luxury is being treated with humanity, warmth, and generosity.
I hope you know that the care you bring to your work reaches much further than the sales you make. It reaches people’s hearts.

“Shout out to the cashier who gave us directions. We were lost for a few hours, the police refused to give us directions even though I had an address for where I needed to go and we were sort of in a bad circumstance. Out of all the people I asked for help, this is the only place where someone pulled out their phone and checked a map. You're a good person, I wish I'd gotten your name, thank you.”
“First off, we are all familiar with a Family Dollar store. This particular location is convenient for me because of being in the Roslindale village area. I go here for all sorts of general needs for household goods.They have good prices on laundry detergent, random hardware items and grocery items. I am very particular about what I buy to eat and there's only a few items I buy from the grocery section. However, it's a good store and I always compare prices from a couple stores to get the best deal. Especially in this economy!”
