“Brand new store. There were hardly no clients though. Had the entire place almost completely to myself. Staff member at the cash register was very friendly and polite and full of joy. Store has big selection. Parking lot almost empty though. Hope people find it.”

“Good experience. Store had some stock left in aisles. 2 registers operating when they had a line out of the designated line area, they had to call for more help once the line was 15 people deep. Cashier lady was very nice to me and apologized for the wait”
“I would just like to express my gratitude and happiness.
My wedding is coming up in August and I had been through 2 MAJOR dress mishaps. I decided to stop in at the Roanoke Discovery Shop and boy was I so glad that I did.
I was greeted with warm smiles, and they were so helpful. I tried 5-6 dresses until I found one that was absolutely perfect for me. They were very tickled to have a little fashion show, and they were super supportive! I would love to highly recommend them to anyone looking for special items. They do so much for this community and it's all for a great cause. Please go check them out!

With the quickness you can run in-and-out if needing just a few items.
If you're there for your weekly shopping trip and have the time, relax, look around, have have a good assortment of just about everything. The Walmart Associates are very helpful and kind; armed with that Zebra, they can tell you exactly where it is, that you are looking for.
Their prices are reasonable, and the broadcasted music they play, isn't bad either.”

She was SO welcoming, patient, and genuinely helpful from the moment I walked in. She helped me find a beautiful pair of shoes and the perfect bag to pull everything together, and she made the whole experience feel effortless.
If I could hire Nadia as my personal stylist, I absolutely would. She truly has an eye for style and makes you feel confident in what you’re buying. She deserves all the recognition for the amazing work she does. Macy’s is lucky to have her!”

“It was surprisingly busy this day. Some deals are great but others aren't impressive at all. I think it all depends on the name that is slapped on it. I would think that no matter the name, that items would be price slashed greatly, at least, it is how the store was described to be.
You can still find yourself paying $13 for a tank top or $9 for Native shampoo. The key is making sure you walk out with the best deal.
The store carries clothes, shoes, pets, perfumes, lotions, home goods, and so on. A great variety. They do sell seasonal items like swim suits.
Some of the areas are quickly trashed and the racks in the men's area was a big, confused mess. I gave up looking for shorts for me son out of pure frustration. This is more customers not really caring where they return an item vs employees, or so I hope.
The store was clean, overall.
They have changing rooms available. There are public bathrooms and an employee is often found outside of them to ensure safety and rules being followed.
Staff was very friendly. Not a bad place up shop in a more populated area. Staff presence and kindness should be a priority and it was. Cleanliness should be right along side that and it was, as well.
Definitely would suggest.”

“Roanoke needed a store like Homesense—HomeGoods often sells out of the items I love and has a limited furniture selection. They offer a great selection of larger furniture, lamps and décor at good prices. Their rug selection is awesome”
“The Starbucks crew was amazing. I was searching for a new sugar free option being they discontinued the sugar free cinnamon syrup. All that's left is the vanilla. With that being said, I wanted to try out some hacks found online and they were very happy to oblige and let me try out some suggestions. The first was a disaster but they made me something else that was much better. I left satisfied and with an idea of what to order the next time. I appreciate their patience and help. I actually went in for a cable and the electronics department employees were very helpful and friendly. They were helping out a group of seniors get familiar with their new phones and it was such a nice surprise to see how patient and helpful they were. The only criticism I had is the crazy one way in and out the parking lot. It was my first time here so I had to drive around circles to get out. I also learned that the online prices are better than in the store and they price match. Thumbs up!”

“Good club retail where you can find most of your favorite brands at bulk discount prices verses Walmart. Usually very busy and hard to check out in the lines. Scan and go on the Sam’s Club App is a faster method and lets you check out and leave faster. Cafe is now only order through app which is convenient but difficult if you are relying on a phone device. Good location. Parking can be hard to get a close spot though. Overall a good experience.”
“I have been traveling to Roanoke on a regular basis (at least twice a month) for work for a little over a year now, maybe 14 months. I stay at Hotel Roanoke, downtown, most often when it's an overnight (or two) stay. If you've stayed there, you know there's a enclosed bridge/walkway from near the hotel entrance that crosses the railroad tracks and to escalators that drop you off into the middle of downtown. It took me this whole year of trying different places (some more than once) to find my regular rotation of downtown restaurants. Over the last 6 months or so, Blue 5 has risen to the top. The food, service, and atmosphere have all contributed. I have never had a bad or even mediocre meal here. From the "stein" of thick cut bacon appetizer, to their burgers, to their ribeye, it has all been delicious. An extensive and thoughtfully-curated beer list just adds to my enjoyable experiences. Though I typically sit at the bar since I'm usually on my own for dinner, the 2-3 occasions on which I was with other people have been great as well. Prompt and friendly service without exception. I've also seen the place packed on Wednesday nights when they have live music. I could get more specific about some of the dishes I've had, but honestly, it's all been good. A nice step above the usual bar food. I'll be back in Roanoke next week, and I guarantee you'll find me at Blue 5 one of the two nights I'm in town!”
“I'm glad that the JCPenny in Valley View is still open. In a world where everyone orders online it's nice to have a physical location to shop. They have a nice selection of clothing and small appliances to choose from. Store was relatively clean and everyone I encountered was nice enough.”

“Pretty cool little shop tucked away in an absolutely awful location. I had to drop off my wife’s forgotten lunch, as her office happens to be right next to this store, so I figured I’d stop in for a quick browse. Parking, however, was a nightmare. The only available lot across the street charged $15-$20, with no short-term options, and any potential free spots were blocked by a fire truck.
I popped into the shop for a few minutes and picked up a neat hat—admittedly a little overpriced, but it looked good. I was inside for all of five minutes. When I got back to my car, I found a $75 parking ticket waiting for me, courtesy of some overzealous enforcer who apparently lurks in the building near Little Green Hive and Bread Craft, just waiting to pounce on unsuspecting shoppers. She couldn’t even be bothered to write down the right vehicle or vehicle color, but she sure got the license plate right.
I was in that spot for exactly 8 minutes and 45 seconds. Eight minutes. Seventy-five dollars. Needless to say, I’ll be returning the hat tomorrow and steering clear of this entire area for as long as I live here. Overall, a completely infuriating experience and a solid reminder of why I avoid downtown at all costs.”
