All The Best Pet Care - Kirkland
11900 NE Village Plaza, KirklandI’ve been coming to this store since I first got my pup, she’s now 4!! Taylor was one of the first people to educate me on her needs and spent so much 1on1 time with me fitting her harness, we’ve bought 4 ruffwear harnesses because of him now!! Lynn is also nothing short of wonderful, she remembers my pups name always, and recognizes me by voice. She’s outstanding, offers so much wisdoms without judgement. The store is lucky to have her! I will keep coming back solely for these two. Little expensive but they always have ranges! they have the best return policies and everything there is quality stuff<3 can’t say more amazing things about Lynn + Taylor plus the whole store! ???

He loves going in, greeting everyone and sneaking a treat for himself out of the bulk area! Ha! The staff is superb at educating us on the benefits of raw food and answering any questions customers have about better nutrition options for our pets. This place is the real deal! I am incredibly picky when it comes to getting the best for my dog. And this place is the best! :)

Mud Bay
425 Urban Plz, KirklandThe staff at this store is the absolute best! I have an elderly cat with kidney issues and a rescue dog with soundness issues as well as a rare condition that requires a specialized diet. There is always something wrong with these 2 and when it comes to diet, the vets usually steer us towards the medical grade foods which are not seeming to work for them. On more than one occasion, I have had the team at this store offer to research ingredients and manufacturers to help us get the right products. Their recommendations have helped immensely! They never balk at taking extra time with us and I am grateful. For example, I recently bought a new bag of food but my husband said it was the wrong one. He went back to exchange and they reviewed our purchase history and determine it was the right one. When he got home, he said oh it was the right one to which I replied "oh so you just went over there and wasted their time" and he said "yes" lol. Anyhoo, you get what I am saying. This is a great team and I am happy their in our neighborhood!

Scruff To Fluff
222 Central Way, KirklandI can’t believe I’m just now leaving a review of the best groomer we’ve ever had. Artese & Erikka are amazing!!! We’ve been taking our dogs here on a regular basis for a couple of years now and can honestly say our experience is perfection each and every time. Not only are our dogs wonderfully groomed, but they were clearly loved and pampered during their visit at Scruff-to-Fluff. Furthermore, unlike other groomers we’ve used in the past, our dogs are not put in a cage for hours waiting for their turn to be groomed. Rather, they are groomed immediately…and we are called as soon as they’re ready for pickup—-approx. 1.5 to 2 hours later. Of course Scruff-to-Fluff was awarded Best Groomer in Kirkland!!??

Not only can you expect the best Veterinarian care from Kirkland Animal Hospital but you can expect they will do to your pet only what is necessary and not what is profitable. There level of compassion and quality of care has been a blessing for our family pet who was facing eye surgery but because symptoms improved after their treatment protocol we were notified that it would not be necessary. Evergreen Veterinary Hospital
14423 124th Ave NE, KirklandMy 6 year old yellow lab, Bruno had a cardiac arrest around 10:30 am this Tuesday (8th Oct 2024) while lying near my feet in my study room. He had no previous health issues and was a perfectly happy-go-lucky gentle giant. I can still hear his painful shrieks that mellowed into a whimper before he passed out in my arms. When 911 refused to attend to pet emergencies, my only option was to pick him up and rush to the nearest vet.
Having recently moved to Woodinville, I vaguely remembered a vet hospital opposite Safeway. Following my memory, I hurried Bruno there, which turned out to be Evergreen Veterinary Hospital. As soon as we arrived, the hospital staff rushed out to take Bruno inside while I caught my breath and completed the paperwork.
Despite their best efforts, Dr. Wilcock and her team were unable to revive Bruno. They suspected cardiac arrest as the cause. Bruno left us unexpectedly and far too soon, at just over 6 years old - much younger than the typical 12-15 years for Labradors. My family is devastated by the loss.
Throughout this difficult time, Dr. Wilcock and her team were incredibly empathetic and supportive. Being our first dog, we were unprepared for this experience, and they guided us through each step. They provided us with options for private cremation through a third party and arranged for Bruno's ashes, paw prints, and fur clippings to be returned to us in an urn (awaiting, expecting to go pick it today).
We left Bruno at the hospital and came back later that day after my daughter came back from school to say our final goodbyes to Bruno. We brought Bruno's favorite toys and treats for him to take with him across the rainbow bridge. Christina, the front-office manager, helped us navigate the paperwork with great compassion. They allowed us to mourn and stay with Bruno as long as we needed.
After coming back home, when we realized we had forgotten to apply the red holy powder (we are Hindu), we called the hospital to ask if Bruno was still there. Though we couldn't apply it ourselves, the staff graciously assured us they would follow our instructions and apply the powder on Bruno's forehead for us.
Although I don't have experiences to share about their routine care, I can confidently say that we couldn't have found a better place to say goodbye to our beloved Bruno. Their final bill was also very reasonable, only charging for the actual services provided—unlike other veterinary hospitals that often charge for room fees, doctor visits, etc.
While I know Bruno can never be replaced, if we ever have the strength to bring another puppy into our home, Evergreen Veterinary Hospital is where we will go.
Thank you, Dr. Wilcock, Christina, and the entire staff at Evergreen Veterinary Hospital, for your compassion, support, and understanding during the most heartbreaking moment of our lives.

Juanita Bay Veterinary Hospital
11416 98th Ave NE Suite 100, KirklandAfter almost four years of my beloved cat William Bell bravely fighting an aggressive lymphoma, I want to express my deepest gratitude to the incredible team at AMCS. This journey took us through six clinics across four states in two different countries, always looking for a place where the team’s intentions felt genuine and compassionate. Too often, veterinary care can feel profit-driven, so finding a team that understands the care extends to both pet and owner is invaluable.
The AMCS team exceeded my expectations, with compassion and professionalism in every interaction. Special thanks to Dr. Katie Robinson, who initiated William’s treatment and guided us early on; Dr. Nick Szigetvari, an exceptional doctor whom I truly ADORE ? and took care of us; and Dr. Mary Davis, who went above and beyond to fit William into her schedule during his final days, offering me the reassurance I needed to make difficult choices thoughtfully. Her patient guidance helped me feel confident and not rushed in those critical moments. To everyone who played a role — whether in reception, the wonderful triage team, or any of the dedicated staff who worked closely with the doctors — your kindness and care provided incredible comfort during this challenging time. Each of you contributed in ways that were equally meaningful to me, and I cannot thank you enough.
The AMCS team went above and beyond with thoughtful gestures that meant a lot to me. After William’s passing, they honored him by sending a beautiful candle, and just days later, a handwritten letter arrived, which moved me to tears. They handled everything, including billing, with fairness and empathy - never pushing unnecessary expenses and always providing clear, balanced options at every step.
For any pet owner seeking a team that values both high-quality medical care and genuine human compassion, I wholeheartedly recommend the Animal Medical Center of Seattle. Thank you for being part of William’s journey. I will always be grateful and keep you in my heart!

Animal Emergency & Specialty
12305 120th Ave NE, KirklandI cannot recommend Dr. McKeirnan and the team at Animal Emergency & Specialty enough! After receiving a recommendation from our vet at Woodhaven in Edmonds, we sought care for our French bulldog, Zeke, who needed specialized surgery. Having been to another specialty clinic that didn’t feel quite right, we were so relieved to find such an incredible place.
From the moment we walked through the door, we were greeted by name, and the staff immediately made us feel at ease. Dragona was extremely helpful in squeezing us into the schedule for a consultation, and within a week, Zeke was in for surgery. The level of communication from Dr. McKeirnan was outstanding—she kept us updated throughout the entire process, which really helped alleviate some of the anxiety we were feeling as Zeke underwent a complex surgery.
What truly set Dr. McKeirnan apart was her understanding of Zeke’s stress post-surgery. Recognizing that part of his struggle was anxiety, she went above and beyond by creating a comfortable spot for him in her office, allowing him to recover in a more peaceful environment. This extra level of care made all the difference for him.
The facility itself was spotless, and we were always seen promptly. It was clear from start to finish that every staff member was genuinely invested in Zeke’s well-being. I’m so grateful to Dr. McKeirnan and her incredible team for the compassionate and expert care they provided during a very stressful time. If you are looking for a veterinary specialist, I highly recommend Animal Emergency & Specialty—they are simply the best!

SUPER GYROS
12412 116th Ave NE, KirklandThe speed and quantity of the food was amazing. I could barely finish in one sittinf. The price was really good especially when compared to the restaurants nearby. What would have taken it to five stars was a little bit more quality or consistency with the food. The gyro meat was tasty and seasoned well. The rice was overcooked. The dressing on the salad was low effort. The hummus was fantastic but the pita was basic but sufficient.

Coffee & Cone
1 Lakeshore Plaza, KirklandMy parents owned this little shop when I was a kid, I grew up working here and eating ice cream daily. I had my first coffee here, distracted myself from my first heartbreak here and got the pleasure to meet hundreds of people from and visiting Kirkland. When they sold it I moved out of Washington but always followed the little shops adventures online. This winter I moved back to the area and I've dreamed of seeing the shop that I love so much again. We made that happen this week, I brought my pups by, got the traditional bubblegum ice cream I grew up on and took in the beauty of the kirkland waterfront that I miss so much. This shop looks beautiful, is well cared for and the service was immaculate. Take it from the girl who spent ages 13-18 working here, this place is a must see in the area. There is something for everyone. 10/10 can't recommend enough! I don't think I even have to say it but I WILL be back.
PS if you're admiring the silly paintings on the windowsill 15 year old me is honored and is so proud to have that piece of my history still around❤️

Meow Cat Rescue
10600 NE 68th St F, KirklandI decided to adopt another cat in June after losing one of an older, bonded pair in May. Meow knew I needed a little bit of an older cat for my mellow 11 year old resident cat and suggested 3 year old Doja cat (now Lucy) might be a good fit, so I went in and met her and fell in love! I was wanting to be patient for the right cat and decided to think about it a bit, but 24 hours after meeting her I knew I had to go back and get her. They knew her needs so well and made sure to send me home with her favorite bed and some chicken treats. It was very obvious that the volunteers knew all of the cats personalities and needs super well! They definitely want to send you home with the right personality fit. Now that Lucy is settled in, her personality is shining. She is super sweet and playful and fits right in. I'm so glad to have her!
