Since I've been able to drive I've never rented a vehicle for any reason. So my 3 adult son's and I decided to go on a road trip and I agreed to rent the vehicle I choose Enterprise Rent-A-Car I reserved a suv but decided to go with a van the employees there on Douglas was very nice,helpful,and friendly.
I selected the 2026 Chrysler Pacifica instead because it was 5 of us and we needed more run and I must say that was the most comfortable,spacious and smooth 9hr drive I've ever been on.
I will most definitely stick with Enterprise for all my rentals.

“I came in without a reservation, just hope and a whim! Jessie at Enterprise was able to help me get on my way! Plus, I got to drive a minivan, and let me tell ya, it was comfortable! Did it cost more than a smaller vehicle? Yes, but that seems obvious. So if you are choosy, make a reservation for a smaller one. I didn’t, but I needed a vehicle. The service was stellar, staff was friendly, and the minivan operated as it should (and was comfortable). Need to rent a car? Check them out.”

“We were attending a conference in Des Moines and gave 2 other colleagues rides to the airport with us after the conference. When we returned the rental, one of the colleagues remarked, “wow, that was really easy. What company is this? Are they always that friendly and professional?” I was happy to tell them that we love Alamo bc Yes, they are consistently friendly and professional, and you make the process as frictionless as possible. I especially love when I have the opportunity to skip the line, but even when I can’t, I can honestly say that I’ve never had a bad experience with an Alamo employee. The Des Moines team’s process was dialed in - efficient and friendly. It was a top-level experience. And my colleague is booking Alamo next time he needs a rental car!”

“I feel like I should do a review since there are so many bad reviews on this place. We rented two vehicles and didn't have any major issues. We had reserved 2 mini vans and when we came to the counter we were told that they don't have any minivans but that they would give us 7 passenger SUVs for the same price. Other than the fact that the AC didn't work in the one SUV, everything worked out good. The one vehicle was a little dirty but nothing terrible.”

“Got into DSM and unfortunately there was a long wait (2 hours or so) to get my vehicle. Vanessa and her coworker were very apologetic, kind, and explained the situation of the wait. They offered to cancel it for free with no attitude or frustration, they were both very professional and polite. I was in no rush so I waited. They upgraded me to an SUV for the inconvenience and were working hard to get through the list of people. The manager and other staff members were coming in and out of the parking lot doing their best to speed up the process. During one moment, a man raised his voice and was very disrespectful to the ladies. They were not rude or disrespectful and told him that he could get his vehicle somewhere else if he was going to be rude. I know tensions can get high but the ladies were incredibly professional even when getting yelled at by this disrespectful man. They did the best they could, it's not like they had a magic wand! Even if folks were coming up multiple times to see where their name was on the list, the ladies were still very professional. It's unfortunate when there is a long wait and no cars when you need them but the customer service was excellent. I will be using them again in my annual visit to Iowa. Thanks again ladies, you rock!”
