TD Canada Trust recently opened a ninth Richmond branch at the new Central at Garden City shopping center. Since Central is the city's newest shopping center for ever-expanding communities, it was only a matter of time before TD offered customers a full-service branch to round off their shopping experience.
The shopping complex, which is surrounded by Alexandra Road, Alderbridge Way and Garden City Road, offers the community a one-stop shop for all their needs - it offers a plethora and variety of services and stores.
According to TD Canada Trust Branch Manager Nelson Wong, Central at Garden City is 359,000-square feet of everything people would need in Richmond. He said the shopping center is extremely convenient, with lots of parking and food places to choose from. Wong said it just made sense to open a bank branch at the location. This ensures, he said, customers get all the convenience and comfort they need from a location that covers their general and exclusive shopping needs.
The TD branch was developed to also be energy efficient. It can also be designed to fit the customer base's growing needs - additional rooms for customers to talk with the financial experts. Some of the other things that people can expect coming into the bank include:
Open concept feel allows for conversation and collaboration that enables customers to attain the personalized advice they may need. Energy-efficient design to decrease the carbon footprint left behind and ensure the bank's commitment to a better environment. A comfortable customer lounge that will include a beverage station. Digital displays all through the branch; interactive touchscreen lets customers attain information and help about their finances while waiting to meet with a bank representative. Sustainable elements such as recycled materials, wood finishes and low-energy lighting. Scalable design, which means anything movable can be grown and adapted to meet the community's needs.
Along with the ribbon-cutting ceremony and grand opening festivities, a $6,500 donation was provided by the TD Friends of the Environment Foundation to the Sharing Farm Society to improve native pollinators' nutrition, homes and lifespan.
The bank is accessible by wheelchair and offers a full-service, envelope-free deposits with transaction records at its Green Machine ATM. TD offers extended hours Monday through Wednesday 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Thursday and Friday 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.
