Navy Federal Credit Union is an American credit union with its headquarters in Vienna, Virginia. It was incorporated in 1933 and originally only for use by those in the Navy. Regulated and chartered under the National Credit Union Administration, Navy Federal Credit Union is the biggest retail credit union in America when considering both membership and the size of their assets, which as of 2016, were nearly $78 billion. Navy Federal Credit Union boasts an impressive 6.4 million members. The credit union has been listed four times as one of the best companies to work for, employing over 10,000 people.
