When Fort Lauderdale, Miami and Miami Beach customers visit their local Publix, they can take a break from the shopping and get something to drink at the new Starbucks.
Starbucks is now operating inside Publix's Cordova Road location of Fort Lauderdale and Collins Avenue location of Miami Beach. The move is in response to the growing Publix's partnership with Starbucks.
Publix spokeswoman Nicole Krauss said a Starbucks at one of the Biscayne Boulevard locations in Miami would open up very soon. She also said plans are in place for another Biscayne Boulevard location to have Starbucks inside the store.
Krauss said the company is constantly looking for ways to better the customer shopping experience by giving them services and products they want. She said the company tested the Starbucks offering in 2016 and saw immediate success. Krauss said Starbucks is much like Publix in that it wants to offer customers the best products and ensure a great customer experience.
She said bringing Starbucks into the Publix stores makes perfect sense.
There are several Florida Publix stores with a Starbucks inside including Bradenton, Gainesville, Tampa and Winter Park. Krauss said a Publix/Starbucks would be opening soon in Lake Mary as well.
Starbucks is also operating in Target stores around the country.
